Sin is sin is sin.

We can not excuse our sin, just because we think it is not bad. We must condemn it, confess it and move on.. Hiding in our own sin and denying it is what makes us self righteous people in the first place.
I agree with you sin is sin, why would the Holy Spirit show me where i went wrong through out my day if i did not nead to be corrected, to be corrected i must of done something that was not pleasing to Him...The Holy Spirit is there for us to guide us 24/7 because we fail every day one way or another, i thank God for His Holy Spirit because to live a life believing that we walk with Jesus and do no wrong am sure grieves the Holy Spirit, and that is something we are warned not to do, and if anyone believes they do no wrong then they need to mind that their hearts are not being hardened by God, peoples hearts can become callous through their own thinking, what they need is to pray earnestly to God and ask for the scales to be removed from their eyes, its very sad when anyone believes in their own righteous way, its pride and its destructive and nothing good comes from it...Much love to you all...xox...

Amen, and I believe especially in our early years we sin sins we do. OT even know are sins, and must learn what they are so the HS has more power to work in our lives,

again, saying we do not sin much, if at all, when I do sin the sins are just oppsies or I did not mean it so it is ok, and they are not that bad, if we are saved, just restricts the ability of the HS to help us defeat sin, he can not help us repent when we do not think we are wrong to begin with.

Yeah, whatever, continue on,

Peter is not playing a word game he is telling us what he believes, if you refuse to see it, there is nothing more I can add.

exactly. making mistakes is one thing. being purposefully deceitful , like posting and doing commentary on Scripture, while leaving out verses or parts of verses, then attacking people because this wrong is pointed out, instead of receiving the correction and not do the behavior anymore.
the person in question here has had things explained to him literally 100's of times, yet ignores it and continues with the same old works-based false theology.

Here is one lie folks should address....worship of a false Jesus who isn't reigning on His throne NOW in this age AND in the age to come.

I was going to post it for the prayer for our hearts to be able to see (bolded) then realized we need to also read what it is we have faith in...

1. What God accomplished by raising Jesus from the dead
2. What it means for Jesus to ascend to heaven and be seated in the right hand of God.
3. How Jesus more power and authority than any upon Earth.
4. Not only Now but also in the future
5. That Jesus is the Head of the church
6. That we are part of His body.

Do you have a Biblical view of who Jesus is and how is reigning Now upon His throne?
*****_

Ephesians 1
15For this reason, because I have heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your lovef toward all the saints, 16I do not cease to give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers, 17that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him, 18having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, 19and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of his great might 20that he worked in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places, 21far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. 22And he put all things under his feet and gave him as head over all things to the church, 23which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all.

The man said we are not saved because we are in need of salvation, He said we are saved because we walk with God and because of our walk we obey God.

It does not matter if he claims sinless or not (although his requirement would demand sinless) He still teaches salvation is earned by our work (obedience? )

Why do you keep denying this?

It is plain as day that he teaches a works based vanilla café blend salvation.....very subtle and deceitful

My point is that there are many different reasons why people don't believe or trust in eternal security...

1. they have a hard time trusting that God really loves them that much.
2. They may have a false gospel
3. They may have a false image of who God really is.

Etc

How we address people ago help them understand eternal security should be based on if

1,they have true saving faith in the true gospel and just immature Christian
2. They need to hear the true gospel beacuse they have a false one.
Here is a closed mind.
Everytime I meet someone, there way of responding to me defines my understanding
of them and how they feel about me.

Every promise given by God is for His people who stay faithful to Him.

Repentance is about judgement if one continues without change.
Nineveh was to be judged because of their behaviour.
As believers we are called to be pure, holy, above reproach.
Those who are to be rejected from the body are those who continue in sin.

So we have eternal security in Christ when we abide in Him, because that is
where all the promises focus on.

Show me one verse where God blesses sinners as saved?

It is literally against the foundations of the Kingdom of Heaven. The repentant,
purified and cleansed are saved. Paul sees the followers at Ephesus

"Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless."
Eph 5:25-26

The cross was given so that we might

Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, “children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.” Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky as you hold firmly to the word of life.
Phil 2:14-16

He has saved us and called us to a holy life
2 Tim 1:9

Now to rebel against these very principles and yet claim salvation and safety is
to deny Christs heart. If one lives like this and see Christ face to face, what will
change? In rebellion one is in rebellion against who He is, and rejecting the very
throne and authority upon which His kingdom is founded.

The idea of salvation is so strong, one wants to be safe but without the reality
in the heart. It is like saying a zombi is alive, even though they are actually
spiritually dead.

God loves the contrite of heart

he who lives forever, whose name is holy: “I live in a high and holy place, but also with the one who is contrite and lowly in spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly and to revive the heart of the contrite.
Isa 57:15

My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart you, God, will not despise.
Psalm 51:17

It is vitally important to get the gospel of the grace of God in Christ right and to have the proper foundation built first in Him by grace through faith alone.

Without that - we are building a false building no matter how much we try to pretty it up and try to mimic the life of Christ by our own humanistic thoughts and self-effort of the flesh.

Flesh and blood ( human self-effort in these not yet unredeemed bodies) cannot inherit the kingdom of God. 1 Cor. 15:50

A little leaven of works for salvation and to remain saved will ruin the whole lump. A little leaven of works-righteousness will ruin the truth of the gift of righteousness which is in Christ.
AMEN.....your initial belief can be a blend 99% JESUS and 01% works and it makes your belief void with no power to save....it is ALL JESUS and faith for salvation or it equals LOST

Just as the rot of the Nicolaitans will be like gangrene in the spiritual life of anyone who believes that doctrine.

I agree that without Christ as the foundation, folks are just building on shifting sand.

However gold, silver and precious jewels remain as defined by God and not men.

I am staggard by the picture of salvation you provide.

Jesus is pure and Holy, brings holiness and purity to our hearts, yet this is left,
we are always contaminated, never purified or made whole, always failing and
lost.

And if we share the freedom through the cross we are legalists and evil, preaching
a false gospel except this is the gospel of scripture, but you cannot stand to read
the sermon on the mount and rejoice in the love He is preaching here.

Jesus taught something very simple. Those who reject His words will reject His
followers. And so it is. God bless you, for salvation is in nothing else but Jesus
Christ the son of God.

Great way to start a conversation...insult someone by saying they have a closed mind (not sure if you mean me or Dcon) then make it about their relationship with you....

Then go on to talk about being holy and blameless....you talk about relationships & communication a lot and how people respond to you but never bother trying to speak their language or get them to understand based on what they have already shared with you, do you?

I rarely see "I agree with _____" this is what I believe "________" do you agree or do you see it differently?

True or false: Jesus came to save sinners not the righteous?

Nonsense..because you don't understand some things - it doesn't make them bad Ariel. As I said - some posts are not for everyone at the time we are in our lives. We can leave some things in the hands of the Lord. He will be faithful to all of us....:)
Ouch again..... He just said his posts are waaaay over yer head, LOL!! :p

Jus' curious..... how can a tumble bug teach a grasshopper anything?:p
Is a tumble bug a dung beetle. Dung beetles are a great benefit to the eco system.
They take dung and recycle it.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dung_beetle

I really appreciate their services. But maybe linking such a useful creature to
some people dishonours the dung beetle.

To be honest, I often do not have the energy to go through 5 or 6 layers of twists and turns
to end up with a point I do not agree with, lol.

I think it is the theology of fatigue, you are so tired at the end you will agree to anything as
long as it feels ok.

On the subject of feelings, I always find it amazing those who are so certain of their position
ignore it is founded on emotional conviction of truth and Gods communion with them.

In all honesty, unless I felt the blessing of the Lord in all I do, I would not be able to do very
much. Maybe I am just projecting, but are the people here suffering and sacrificing in everything
they write? Ariel has been complaining about continuous head aches...
