Define..."unwholesome". Then answer this question... "What do you think would be more offensive to Jesus? Rude comments; cussing; dirty jokes...(let's not forget He hung out with foul mouthed fisherman and rude tax collectors, oh yeah...let's not forget prostitutes) OR... Hearing Someone who claims to be one of HIS, DENYING HIS PRESENT KINGSHIP and 'surmising' HE is "WAITING" to take it, like a schoolboy waits to see if he's on the sports roster yet"? Hmmm.. I wonder what the KING JESUS CHRIST would find..."unwholesome talk"...
unwholesome - something not wholesome; wholesome: promoting health or well-being of mind or spirit; promoting health of body; sound in body, mind, or morals; . . . . this has nothing to do with who Jesus hung out with - it has to do with edifying the body of Christ - if something you want to say does not edify a member in the body but is intended to ridicule and show disrespect that is unwholesome and corrupt have no value in it whatsoever.
I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ. Rev. 1:9
And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. Rev. 12:10
Yes, Jesus reigns in heaven at the right hand of God the Father. He is our High Priest and is acting as mediator and intercessor on our behalf . . . Who is he that condemns? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.
He will return as King of Kings and Lord of Lords to do battle - to destroy death and the devil - that is when the last enemy shall be destroyed and all things will be under his subjection . . . Hebrews 2:8 You have put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him.
The above is all scripture and I think what we see depends upon how we read it . . . This is probably one of those things we will find out when Jesus returns to gather his redeemed, his purchased possessions.
