Define..."unwholesome". Then answer this question... "What do you think would be more offensive to Jesus? Rude comments; cussing; dirty jokes...(let's not forget He hung out with foul mouthed fisherman and rude tax collectors, oh yeah...let's not forget prostitutes) OR... Hearing Someone who claims to be one of HIS, DENYING HIS PRESENT KINGSHIP and 'surmising' HE is "WAITING" to take it, like a schoolboy waits to see if he's on the sports roster yet"? Hmmm.. I wonder what the KING JESUS CHRIST would find..."unwholesome talk"...
The context: building up those in the body of Christ

unwholesome - something not wholesome; wholesome: promoting health or well-being of mind or spirit; promoting health of body; sound in body, mind, or morals; . . . . this has nothing to do with who Jesus hung out with - it has to do with edifying the body of Christ - if something you want to say does not edify a member in the body but is intended to ridicule and show disrespect that is unwholesome and corrupt have no value in it whatsoever.

I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ. Rev. 1:9
And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. Rev. 12:10
Yes, Jesus reigns in heaven at the right hand of God the Father. He is our High Priest and is acting as mediator and intercessor on our behalf . . . Who is he that condemns? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.

He will return as King of Kings and Lord of Lords to do battle - to destroy death and the devil - that is when the last enemy shall be destroyed and all things will be under his subjection . . . Hebrews 2:8 You have put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him.

The above is all scripture and I think what we see depends upon how we read it . . . This is probably one of those things we will find out when Jesus returns to gather his redeemed, his purchased possessions.

Then, by definition, all that you have "spoken" here is unwholesome because it DOES NOT EDIFY THE BODY OF CHRIS, BUT RIDICULES AND DISRESPECTS JESUS IN ITS ENTIRETY AND IS CORRUPT AND HAS NO VALUE IN IT WHATSOEVER. Thank you for proving your own point. Your constant rejection of the truth IN EVERY WAY that has graciously been explained to you USING the word of God has shown"ridicule and blatant disrespect" for the inerrant Word of God and to Jesus Christ himself. And as usual, I see you only answered the "particle" of a question asked of you and completely ignored, disregarded, skirted or denied the rest. Yes, by definition, you have described YOUR OWN unwholesome speech by the last 2 sentences of your reply.

If Jesus Christ is on the throne now as King, where is God the Father? Please use Scripture as your answer...
1 John 5
7For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. 8And there are three that bear witness in earth, the spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.

*****

There is a difference between Heaven and Earth, perhaps one day you will realize how the Father, the Word (Jesus) and the Spirit ARE ONE in HEAVEN.

If you did, you wouldn't ask your question.

Thanks for the lesson.

Why does Scripture specifically state that God the Father is on the throne and Jesus is seated at His right hand? The man, Christ Jesus, is the mediator between God and man. The Holy Spirit is at work right now on earth. God the Father is on the throne. The man, Christ Jesus is seated next to God the Father. That is what Scripture states. If you have a problem with that, take it up with Scripture.

So what would between the throne mean to you. rev 5:6

4 Around the throne were twenty-four thrones, and on the thrones I saw twenty-four elders sitting, clothed in white robes; and they had crowns of gold on their heads.

Between the throne? I'm not sure what you are asking.

6 And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.

Yea that would be the One I was speaking of, in the midst of the throne and in the midst of the elders, what does this mean to you?

furthermore the Lamb takes the scroll from Him who sits on the throne, does the Lamb who takes the scroll ask for it or just takes it? What would be the importance of this statement that the Lamb just takes the scroll.

Hmmm...,,.

Do you deny the Trinity? That Jesus IS God? I know some folks do and that would explain your comments John146.

Otherwise, I am not sure why you don't understand.

Deny the trinity? Not in the least. I know what you're saying. If Scripture states that God the Father is on the throne, then Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit are on the throne because those three are one. I get it. But what I am referring to is, where does Scripture specifically state you can find God the Father right now? Jesus Christ right now? The Holy Spirit right now?

John 3
5Jesus answered “Truly, truly, I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. 6Flesh is born of flesh, but spirit is born of the Spirit. 7Do not be amazed that I said, ‘You must be born again.’ 8The wind blows where it wishes. You hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.”

Before we discuss what it means by the phrase "seated at the right hand of the father" do you believe these verses?

Matthew 28
Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me

What do you mean by that?

Does Jesus have all authority and power in HEAVEN and earth or not?
18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

Does this mean that Jesus ascended and is sitting on the throne of His glory as King?

Who gave Jesus "all Power"? Aren't they one and the same?

this old earth will be turned to dust nothing rebuilt etc., a new earth will replace the old earth, a new Jerusalem will replace the old Jerusalem though without the temple, a throne that has been before this universe was ever formed.

My reformed friends gave me this website (cough thanks notmyown) and I think sovereignGrace likes it too.

Perhaps it will help?

Seated at the Right Hand of the Father by John Nunes

However I can try and find other articles from other denominations that say Jesus is currently king of kings of you prefer.

Sometimes it's not the concept but the vocabulary usage that is hard for me to decipher.

Here is an excerpt:

King of Glory. In their discomfiture they miss Jesus when He is seated in the eternal sphere above and beyond the limits of time and space: “therefore know for certain that God made him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom you crucified” (Acts 2:36). They also miss out on the personal faith benefit. Indeed, the contemporary Christian church remembers and teaches too little on this topic. Perhaps we forget that the right hand of God, the place of Christ’s session, is everywhere (dextra Dei ubique est). Christ’s reign is not locked to a throne in heaven. Think of the African American spiritual “He’s got the whole world in his hands.” From His right hand, Jesus’ rule is vested now with absolute authority. With an unflinching fist, Jesus the Judge will prove deadly to death and scorching toward the sneering Enemy: “For he must reign until he has put all enemies under his feet” (1 Cor. 15:40). And that, ironically, is where a largely unexplored blessing begins for believers

I prefer to stick with Scripture. Let's allow Scripture to interpret itself.

Here is an excerpt:

.
23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.
24 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.
25 For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.
26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.
27 For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him.
28 And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.

The context here is at the Lord's coming to reign on earth, the Millennial reign. After this reign, all of Christ's enemies will be subdued by Him, death being the last. See Revelation 20.
