I have a shirt shirt I love to wear, not perfect, but forgiven.

I am a saint

i am a child of God

I also still sin

thus I am a sinner (I have not met a Gods standard of perfection) who is set apart by God, and save by grace.

think about it, if i declair I need grace, the mere fact we declair we need grace is saying we still sin
One day this truth will hit you and set you free...blessings bro.

I have read was it a stake or cruxifx.
I believe it was a crucifix.

You mention symbolism, to me that's not a point to argue.
Whether it be a stake or crucifix in a sense it does not matter (to me anyway) and it's not a hill to die on.

Jesus died on a hill, the Son of God taking our sins upon him.

For me that's a hill to die on.
Yeah, no argument here! It really is of no consequence, other than the JDubs using the alleged difference to give credence to their belief that Jesus isn't God.

I would say we sin for many reason. The major one being ignorance of God's truth.
Sin is not ignorance, there is no such sin of ignorance in the Bible...be careful listening to those that say Sin is action and not choice....Romans 1 says we are without excuse about our SIN...

It's not your good works, that saved you...it's Jesus work upon the cross and God's work upon your heart and mind.

Do babies make themselves?
So through Faith we are changed, we believe... by Grace indeed.

Then we have work to do?

Good post.
Hopefully those on here who post that there are sins of ignorance and therefore is not sin will read what you have just said.

We are saved by God's grace through our faith and belief in Jesus. :) Yes, AFTER being saved, we are to do good works, but NOT for the purpose of keeping our salvation.. THAT can never be lost UNLESS you blaspheme the Holy Spirit outright.

So through Faith we are changed, we believe... by Grace indeed.

Then we have work to do?

So through Faith we are changed, we believe... by Grace indeed.

Then we have work to do?
We are healed, born again, grow and nature in Christ, give spiritual gifts and a ministry within the body of Christ.

Mixed in all of that God blesses us and allows us to do good works.

Would you allow a 5 year old to make a cake without supervision?

In the same way God walks with us and teaches us how to do the good works He created us to do.

It's a blessing and a responsibility and privileged to be entrusted with good works that glorify God.

Some people aren't qualified to work yet but folks want to enforce child labor.

We are all to bear good fruit of love, joy,, peace, patience. Gentleness and self control. However God tells people when they can be trusted to help and not hurt others.

Would you ask a baker to do the job of a surgeon?

We all have spiritual gifts and we all need to learn how to use them for God's glory.

There are times you say such words that amaze me.
Yeah sometimes they amaze me too.,, i chalk it up to God speaking through me and they heal my soul also.

It's amazing when I hear something in my heart and someone will speak the words out loud and I am like wow, the Holy spirit is moving in this place for sure. This especially happens when we get together to pray over folks.

All I can say is Praise God for He is wonderful.

i disagree, Paul did not want to sin, yet he sinned,

we sin because we feel like we have to take care of our own needs, because no on else will,it is all self motivated
We have different interpretations on Romans 7 and 8.
You are right, Paul was not sinless. Paul did overcame his SIN and still sinned....but his new man prevailed over his old man....

You just said it, we sin because we chose to sin....

OK.....here is our first few exchanges......

YOU--->What does Revelation 3 reveal about working for Salvation?
YOU--->Does this apply to us all or just to the churches?

ME-->It does not reveal anything about working for salvation.............I am assuming you are speaking of the VERBIAGE applied unto the churches of in ASIA and any reference to the loss of the candlestick is indicative of them losing their authority collectively as a church....it has ZERO to do with salvation.....

In the grace you are, having been saved OUT OF FAITH and that NOT of YOURSELVES..IT is the GIFT OF GOD and NOT OF WORKS lest any man should BOAST

IF it is of works it is NO LONGER GRACE

God's word does not contradict itself....if salvation is based upon works then the above verse references CONTRADICT a working for salvation.....

PAUL was clear....

FAITH plus WORKS to gain, finish or maintain SALVATION is a false, double cursed different gospel which has NO POWER to save and ALL who believe it are BEWITCHED and FOOLS......

end of story!

ME--->It is applied collectively unto ANY and ALL churches of the LORD.....any reference to having the candlestick STIRRED AWAY is applicable unto their authority in the eyes of GOD as a church........a church is a body and will be judged as a body....!

YOU--->Are you replying to the Words in Revelation 3? Are you creating your own Gospel based on a verse here or a verse there? There is no contradiction... just spiritual blindness on your part.. But is is worrying that you have just wrote a piece of heresy and you can not see it.

YOU then quoted Revelation, Ephesians and Titus

ME-->Based upon your last two posts....not quite pal..............it seems obvious that most Brits do not understand the word CONTEXT......there are a few...but so far it seems that most do not....!

Me-->SAVED UNTO is not SAVED BY<----man you would think you guys would have a better grasp on English....another working for cake taker from the U.K.......must be the Anglican coming out in you..

YOU-->Rich coming from you the author of this thread.

Me-->In response to your Titus quote-->
Quote the part of that verse that states that works save........we will wait for it.....doubtful though because it does not say that works save........again CONTEXT......here I will help you open your eyes....

Me-->I then quoted 18 verses that state we are saved by faith or forgiven by faith with NO works attached

You--->You should seek to open your own eyes... you are in error and defending yourself. Why should one be careful to maintain good works?

Me-->Ok....let us try this one more time....do you understand English? .....Do you understand the RESULT of one's action?

Faith into the work of Christ IS WHAT SAVES A MAN....end of story.......

THE RESULT of the FAITH and SALVATION one ALREADY POSSESSES <----any work produced and or fruit.

THE WORKS/FRUIT do NOT SAVE, KEEP SAVED or FINISH OFF SALVATION.........

FAITH plus WORKS to GAIN, FINISH, KEEP salvation = a false GOSPEL other than the GOSPEL PAUL preached.....it is DOUBLE CURSED, FAKE, a FRAUD and has NO POWER

GALATIANS 1 and 3

YOU-->You then responded to the 18 verses I posted dealing with salvation by faith void of works.....So now you have created a no works post? Oh my.... this is obscene. To all that read this forum please do not adhere to this heresy. This man can save his explanation for this false teaching for GOD. Why not go and add no works in reply to the Messiah's message to the churches? Let us see how that reads.... or not!!!

You--->You then responded to my last quote...Even if the Messiah sends a message that is contrary to your belief will you continue to teach heresy.

THE rest ALL can read...........so.......come to your own conclusion pal.....faith alone saves...end of story....any work or fruit are the results of..........SAVED UNTO......NOT BY!!!!!!

Each verse you use is better in context without you adding no works... unto and by was never in question... you state works are not part of Salvation to gain, finish or keep and the Bible teaches different. So yes all can read through and hopefully adhere to Scripture.

On a side not.....I have asked every one who ties "good works" to salvation to describe their view of the works identified as wood, hay and stubble as opposed to works of gold, silver and precious stones which obviously describe the good works wrought in Christ.....I have yet to have one "worker for" take up the question and label the works of wood, hay and stubble that GET BURNT to a crisp, yet the person is still SAVED yet so as like they are brought through the fire............

STILL WAITING.........

GOOD WORKS-->GOLD, SILVER and precious stones<---purified by the fire

____________--->WOOD, HAY and STUBBLE<----burnt to a crisp

Love, what exactly do you consider good works? To me, it's mowing an elderly person's lawn, or serving homeless people a meal at a soup kitchen. Or visiting a widow with young children, and volunteering to help her out.THESE things all show God's love to others through us.

BUT they don't save us. They don't keep us saved, nor will they get us into heaven.

Each verse you use is better in context without you adding no works... unto and by was never in question... you state works are not part of Salvation to gain, finish or keep and the Bible teaches different. So yes all can read through and hopefully adhere to Scripture.
