well it does if you read it for what it says......... the context in hebrews 10:26 for example is wilfull sin and it draws from old testament sinning with a high hand idea and it seems pretty straight forward ive read the entire book of hebrews......... if you have some next level interpretation please share it.
The context of Hebrews 10 is willfully forsaking the assembling of yourself together as the manner of some is and counting the blood of JESUS a common ordinary base thing while trampling under foot the Son of GOD........

John was clear....with his verbiage as well...They went out from us because they NEVER WERE OF US.......

Ephesians 2:8-9

For BY GRACE are you saved, THROUGH FAITH, and that NOT of YOURSELVES, it is the GIFT OF GOD. NOT OF WORKS, lest any man should boast.
Gift = No strings attached

Payment/reward = works required before you receive it

Bribe = expectations to be fulfilled in the future

So is salvation a Gift, payment/reward or bribe?

Then ask The Good Shepherd.
I have asked Jesus, and His reply was that His blood covers ALL my sin.
Now can you please tell me what good work YOU have done to attain or maintain salvation?

Why won't you answer that?

I love it when I'm doing housework and Holy Spirit teaches me.

He said that anything we do after our new birth that is good comes from Him because our motives have changed and is no longer selfish. That is what we were. But not now. Ego is dead with the Cross, and pleasing Him is resurrection life.

Just had to share...back to my house.

King James Bible
Revelation 22
1And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. 2In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, andyielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. 3And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him: 4And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads. 5And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.

6And he said unto me, These sayings arefaithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done.
7Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.
8And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things. 9Then saith he unto me, See thou do itnot: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God.
10And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand. 11He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.
12And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. 13I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.
14Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. 15For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
16I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.
17And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

18For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: 19And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
20He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
21The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ bewith you all. Amen. {THE END.}

Faith alone, not saved by works, when we confess Christ, for we are in the flesh and that is all we can do.

Faith without works is dead,a person is justified by works, and not fath alone, after we receive the Spirit, for then the responsibility falls on is to keep ourselves right, which work out your own salvation with fear and tembling.

These works are of the Spirit, preach the Gospel, help the poor and needy, visit the widows and orphans in their affliction, abstain from fleshy lusts that war against the soul,be righteous, and sin not,and lay aside every weight of sin that so easily besets us.

God hates sin,and does not want us to do it,and His kingdom is based on love.

Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God.

We have to have faith before grace can be applied in our life, but this faith must be in the right perspective according to the working of God,and His kingdom, because if it is not then it is against God's operation on earth.

2Ti 2:19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

2Ti 3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
2Ti 3:6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
2Ti 3:7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Mat 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Mat 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Gal 5:16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
Gal 5:17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Gal 5:23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Gal 5:24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
Gal 5:25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

Those that name the name of Christ have to depart from iniquity, but some people think they are alright despite holding unto sin,and if a person hates sin,and does not want sin,by the Spirit they can abstain from sin,for they will not fulfill the desires of the flesh, and have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

Jas 1:12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation(is tempted but does not sin): for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
Jas 1:13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:
Jas 1:14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
Jas 1:15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.
Jas 1:16 Do not err, my beloved brethren.

Jas 5:19 Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him;
Jas 5:20 Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.

Heb 3:12 Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.
Heb 3:13 But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.

1Pe 2:11 Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
1Pe 2:12 Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.

Some more scriptures to add to the kitty, and some think that outward manifestations of sin does not affect their relationship with God,but the Bible says they do,and mentions that outward manifestations of sin affects their relationship with God.

Heb 10:26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
Heb 10:27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

If a person holds unto sin,and it is a habit they have, the blood of Christ cannot wash it away.

Faith is compromised for they do not follow the truth of God,and His character, and as Jesus displayed that character on earth.

Faith in the right perspective.

1Jn 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
1Jn 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
1Jn 2:17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

Love not the world,or the things in the world, for it is not of the Father, which if they do and hold unto it,faith is compromised for they do not have the right perspective of God's character.

Faith has to be in the right perspective, not say I have faith, and go against the operation of God and His kingdom.

Does the president choose a cabinet that is against his agenda,or anyone else,so how can they be right with God,and go against His character, and kingdom.

1Jn 3:17 But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?

Jas 2:14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?
Jas 2:15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,
Jas 2:16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?
Jas 2:17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
Jas 2:24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.

1Ti 6:3 If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;
1Ti 6:4 He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,
1Ti 6:5 Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.
1Ti 6:6 But godliness with contentment is great gain.
1Ti 6:7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
1Ti 6:8 And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.
1Ti 6:9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.
1Ti 6:10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

God only blesses with our needs, and not our wants, and said some people pray amiss to heap it to their lusts.

If a person has the means to help the poor and needy, and they do not do it,then faith is compromised, for they do not have the right perspective of the kingdom of God,that it is love, and love of people is the fulfilling of the law.

Faith has to be in the right perspective to be active faith.

Does a man marry a woman that is against him,or a baseball team hire a player that is against the agenda of the team, throwing the game intentionally.

If we are against the character of God,and His kingdom, how do we have faith.

Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God.

If our faith is not in the right perspective then how does grace apply in our life.

Then ask The Good Shepherd.

Have YOU sold EVERYTHING you have and given it to the poor? Right there is a Scripture saying what YOU must do to inherit eternal life. Have you done this?

17 Now as He was going out on the road, one came running, knelt before Him, and asked Him, “Good Teacher, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?”
18 So Jesus said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God.19 You know the commandments: ‘Do not commit adultery,’ ‘Do not murder,’ ‘Do not steal,’ ‘Do not bear false witness,’ ‘Do not defraud,’ ‘Honor your father and your mother.’”[c]
20 And he answered and said to Him, “Teacher, all these things I have kept from my youth.”
21 Then Jesus, looking at him, loved him, and said to him, “One thing you lack: Go your way, sell whatever you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, take up the cross, and follow Me.”
22 But he was sad at this word, and went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions.

Getting baptized doesn't save you..
Careful with your words.

John 3

5 Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. 6 Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit[b] gives birth to spirit.7 You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You[c] must be born again.’ 8 The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.”[d

This is not teaching water salvation.....the contradiction is between water birth--FLESH and SPIRITUAL BIRTH--BORN AGAIN........baptism is a picture of what has taken place by faith and has ZERO to do with salvation....you should study more.....

Where have I said it referred to water baptism?

And now you speak against the Messiah's teaching? If you are not born again of the spirit you can not enter into The kingdom of GOD...

You posted a verse that says we cannot be saved unless we are born of water (and the HS).. Jesus is the Living Water..it is through HIM that we are born again.. not from literal water..
