So I'm watching a supposed live stream from ISS on YouTube. Looks like a gopro strapped to an astronauts head. Been watching with a critical eye, anything that I could spot that could possibly cause this to be faked. Couldn't find anything, the astronaut had a reflective thing attached the his arm and you could see the reflection of earth on it. Anyone care to enlighten me on this one?

Where are all the stars? it looks really dark.

And in the ISS feed, where are the stars? Too complex to fake something like that so we just are led to believe they can't be seen with cameras or at all.
It is one thing for stars to not show up in a snapshot picture because the camera aperture was not open long enough ( especially in the case of light-activated chemically-developed film ); however, stars not showing up in a continuous digital video feed...??? C'mon!

Has any of you ever heard of contrast?

You are only betraying your ignorance of photography/videography here...

Which model leaves room for evolution, aliens, and "accidents", and which one is the work of an undeniable living God with only us (earth) in mind?

I really just was curious as to why . I am definately ignorant of both photography and videography.

it's all about you?

only us (earth) in mind?

When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers,
The moon and the stars, which You have ordained;
What is man that You take thought of him,
And the son of man that You care for him?

(Psalm 8:3-4)

what jives with this,

a fish tank with artificial lighting & a fake universe painted on three sides of it? where man can strut about considering himself as the most important thing there is in all that is?

or unfathomably great and powerful works stretched forth beyond all human comprehension, in the face of which man can do nothing but be humbled?

Us:eek:

The first one definitely, good for the self esteem and keeps us grounded to earth with an undeniable creator.

And the second one can be used to describe the flat earth too. :)

Of course! And I understand. Albeit, I am only an amateur when it comes to photography / videography.

Contrast is not a 'filter' that is placed between a light source and a light sensor -- it is an 'adjustment' to the image - after-the-fact of its being picked up by a digital light sensor and translated into digital data. A digital light sensor ( which I do know something about, from an electronics point-of-view ) still picks up the light that strikes it. Thus, it would appear in the digital data before any adjustments are made to it.

Now - admittedly - [ some / most? ] modern cameras are capable of making such "internal" adjustments. So - that would seem like a plausible explanation... However, cameras with such abilities can usually also be manually adjusted to extremes, also. Meaning that -- NASA could capture the stars if they really wanted to...

Yes, there are sometimes atmospheric light-and-shadow 'effects' on imagery being captured; however, where there is no atmosphere... :D ;)

How is the vacuum of space going to prevent light from hitting a light sensor aimed continuously in the direction of that light?

Complete twaddle!

The contrast I am referring to is the contrast in the scene - the dynamic range of the scene.
To properly expose for the earth (which is what is being done) the stars will not be visible in the same image because they are too dim.

I have never managed to take a properly exposed image of the moon where any stars were visible for the same reason.
Even when I could see them with the naked eye.

Your "logic" is based on ignorance only.

So --- do you believe what the Bible says? :

Genesis 1:

[SUP]1[/SUP] In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. [SUP]2[/SUP] And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. [SUP]3[/SUP] And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. [SUP]4[/SUP] And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. [SUP]5[/SUP] And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day. [SUP]6[/SUP] And God said, Let there be a
firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. [SUP]7[/SUP] And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so. [SUP]8[/SUP] And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day. [SUP]9[/SUP] And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so. [SUP]10[/SUP] And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good. [SUP]11[/SUP] And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so. [SUP]12[/SUP] And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good. [SUP]13[/SUP] And the evening and the morning were the third day. [SUP]14[/SUP] And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: [SUP]15[/SUP] And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. [SUP]16[/SUP] And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. [SUP]17[/SUP] And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, [SUP]18[/SUP] And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good. [SUP]19[/SUP] And the evening and the morning were the fourth day. [SUP]20[/SUP] And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.

So then --- God placed the sun and moon ( and stars ) in the same 'space' where the birds fly...

I have read Genesis countless times.
Never, never, have I been convinced that what was written ever amounted to a claim of a flat earth.

Flat earth - overactive imagination!
Nothing more...

Contrast can be adjusted - remember?

And, it usually is - to the point that the Earth is "glowing" against a pitch-black background.

( Which is not the 'natural' unmodified light gradient experienced with the eyes. )

I have never managed to take a properly exposed image of the moon where any stars were visible for the same reason.
Even when I could see them with the naked eye.
Then, you should learn how to [ more ] properly use your camera. Exposure is adjustable / controllable. A proper exposure set for the moon may affect the stars in your image, but the light from the stars can also be taken into account for the adjustment.

Like I said -- I am only an amateur [ photographer ]. However, I do understand the principles of light from a purely physics point-of-view -- enough ( I believe ) to say that - if you aim a light sensor at a light continuously ( even a dim one ) - you will pick up some light from it.

For the moment --- forget Flat Earth!

Focus on the Bible.

The * point * is * it * does * not * say * what * you * think * it * says...

Is that monosyllabilic enough for you?

Walk trough the valley
"If any man thinks he knows, he does not know as he should." If we think we know we stop learning: If the mind is flat and stationary, the person may be enjoying the attention from people trying to help and could be enabling: to remain in the center. This center being the fruit of knowledge of good and evil: the mind of the flesh, the fruit is idolatry, witchcraft...
