Business writer turning into a novel writer, which is something like saying, "I'm a rocket scientist, so I'll start doing brain surgery tomorrow, (except I'm not smart enough to do either, of course. lol)
I wanted to write a novel since I was in college, but finally started the in-roads when I became disabled in 1999. Didn't really start writing fiction until my early 50's, but then I had to do what you figured out -- learn how to write it. Started the novel at 55 and finished it at 59.
I was just getting my agent list together and my query. (Already had my synopsis.) And then hubby had a massive heart attack, which derailed "the plan" until yesterday.
Yesterday was the day we found out we're free to go about our lives again. (He found out his heart is fine for his age, so we are no longer holding our breathes waiting for the 999th shoe to drop.)
I have an MG (middle grade) urban fantasy. Seven volumes, by the time it's over, but being this age, I make no guarantees to finish it. First I have to see someone on the first novel anyway, and see if enough people read it to warrant Book Two.
I am Christian. I am a writer, but my novel isn't for the Christian market. (It's also family-friendly enough that it can be anyway.)
