God please cancel these plans

Hey guys I am asking for a HUGE favor here and I'd love if you guys would pray to God that my aunt and uncle DO NOT come to visit this year. My family has lots of problems right now. We are in pain. Especially my mom and I. It would hurt me a lot if they came. My dad does not seem to really care about what we think and he's allowing them to come anyway. I would not like to go into details about why it would be bad but PLEASE brothers and sisters please agree and pray that they do not come to visit. If they decide not to come I will jump and sing for joy!!
 
I will pray that your family will be comforted and removed from the painful situation you guys are in/ whatever you are going through. But know sometimes you will have to go through things while still trusting that God's plans will be done... even when you walk through the very thing you were dreading to tread through... I know for me its always somewhere at that point where things start to turn around, when I just go along with it and agree that His will be done..and somewhere between the middle of it and towards the ending of the tribulation you really start to see it become manifest... Its kindof like a story line/ script and at the end of the story God's will is always done regardless of the plot/characters/theme, and when you just go through it knowing it, and agreeing with it, its so good lol. I will pray for you, and know something is happening whether or not you see it.

Of course we will pray. I think it would be a good idea to have a frank discussion with your family- they should be understanding.

Dear Jesus, please bless SOUTH_FLA, giving peace to the whole family. Please help SOUTH_FLA to communicate in love with the family, explaining to them all that there are times when hosting relatives is painful and difficult. In Jesus' name, amen.
 
Father God, we bring this matter to you, and pray Lord please bless this prayer request. Lord please solve the problems, if any and bless this family and let everything be fine. Please hear and answer this prayer, together, we ask in Jesus loving name, Amen!

I understand.. I guess I'll explain more. My mom pretty much hates my dad's sister. She dislikes my dad's family a lot. Throughout the years they've never got along. Yet, for some odd reason, they still want to come anyway. My mom has made a plan to fly to Switzerland (my family lived there in the 80s and 90s) while they visit even though I'm not even sure she has a place to stay. That's how much she dislikes my aunt and uncle.

Mom was crying to my dad, for him to uninvite them. He showed no sympathy. I told him it was a terrible idea and he said "I don't care". My brother even agrees its not a good time for them to come, I can tell he's upset as well. Me on the other hand, this is the part where I didn't want to go too much into detail. I have personal issues. My life is just a mess right now and having them here will cause me a lot of heartache.

One of the worst parts is, my dad works 3 nights out of the week. And on those nights he sleeps all day. So my brother and I have to come up with ways to entertain my aunt and uncle for 3 days in a row. 6 total days since they're probably staying 2 weeks. Last time, it was just painfully awkward as we don't know them too well (we didn't grow up with them, they live in a different country.) And I pretty much guarantee you it will be the same this year. I thought for sure that last time they came, they didn't enjoy being in the house with us. Guess it didn't stop them from wanting to come again. This whole thing is so strange. CANNOT believe they're planning on coming again. They just came last year.

Lastly, this time my grandma (on my mom's side) is here with us already. She does not speak English too well and she doesn't speak any other languages too well other than Serbian. So there's more awkwardness for ya. She has nothing to say to them. My house isn't even built to hold 7 people (6 if my mom leaves) so the house will be annoyingly packed. This whole idea is just stupid and my dad is the only one who doesn't get it. He's like cold-hearted or something.

I'd like to make some edits on my comment to Willie. My mom has a lot more personal problems with my dad. They're actually divorced but they still live together for financial reasons. She can't stand my dad's family and doesn't want anything to do with them anymore and that includes my dad. They will truly separate in 2018 I believe. If my aunt and uncle want to visit my dad next year that's fine. And my brother and I will pretty much have to entertain them during the nights only as I'm sure they will be gone being tourists throughout the day. Don't want to be an exaggerator with the " 6 total days" lol. Still, it is not in our interests. And like I said I feel heart broken about this whole thing, I even cry about it. That's how bad I don't want them to come. And I'm not saying this because I hate my aunt and uncle. Its just really not a good time for us.
 
And my dad is a great man and a loving father towards me & my brother and very nice to my grandma. I don't want him to seem evil or anything. But when it comes to this situation he reminds me of Pharaoh from Exodus. Very stubborn. And I say that in the most kind way.
 
Oh yeah and I also wanted to say that my mom is leaving to Switzerland on August 15th so that will be before they are supposed to visit. I can tell she did not really want to leave because she was in tears pleading with my dad for them not to come.
 
I hope I'm not being a talebearer and a slanderer when I say all these things. I feel guilty now :( .. God forgive me.
 
South? Who says it's your responsibility to entertain your parents' siblings? Don't get caught up in your parents' drama. Live your own life.
 
agree with Lynn, and also,

ask your father to meet with them in another place, for the Love of your family,
and their peace of mind, and NOT His and His and just theres...
let them have one big get together, some place ELSE, even OFFER to contribute $...

there's just no price to put on 'Peace of Mind'...
 
I live with my mother.. for various reasons.. while I choose to be here I had to relinquish my disdain for her chosen company. it's not just me that lives here and she has a right to have her family and friends over as well.. I used to cry and get upset because it was me who it bothered(some treated me horribly and really tried to hurt me) and she seemed unbothered.. that's because she was.. and rightfully so..We all have to learn how to coexist.. others do not have to take on all our cares and anxieties about being around certain people.. especially when we choose to mix our lives...
I get where you're coming from but to have all your problems disappear will not make you a stronger or better person.. what will you learn that way? I keep my peace by staying in my word and keeping my mind on true things written in it... people only have as much power as you give them... I do pray you find comfort even if it's not how you initially thought or wanted it to come
