as i read through the posts, i see a war between people of the Law and the people of um Favor, didn't say that other word

one thing that confuses me, I would like to write some things which wouldn't go well in this forum

so that makes me a sinner correct

but wait i just repented, now i'm a saint correct.

I just swore, now i'm a sinner,

just repented, whew now i'm a saint

this is getting old pretty quick, how do i become a full time saint,

if this is salvation then we are all dead, no heaven, no 144000 virgins, no Jesus for all eternity,

I really wanted a new body,

There once was a man
who died for me,
he gave his life
that i might be free
he hung on a cross
all battered and torn
if i believe him
that i shall be reborn
he walks with me and he talks with me
and tells me i am his own,
the joy we share
as we tarry there
noone can ever know

He won't go back onto the cross for you, so my suggestion is believe on the LORD JESUS, and you shall be saved.

Let the Father prune, just come and rest beside the still waters, you are his sheep, highly opinionated but still sheep, and as such let him lead you on the PATH OF RIGHTEOUSNESS.

keep in mind as you go moment by moment SINNER SAINT he is coming like a thief in the night just how sure are you of your deliverance

Wrong always come to right, right never goes to wrong,

blessings to those of you that understand

Saint. Believers in Christ are called saints from Acts to Revelation 59x times. We are saints because of Christ is in us - not because of what we do or don't do.

So you are of the "belief alone saves" false doctrine?

The spiritual body is just like the physical body. When you are born you have blood which is continuously pumped by your heart to keep all the tissues of the body alive. If you bend your leg to cut off circulation, your foot 'falls asleep' and it feels like needles until the blood circulation is back to normal, but it didn't die. You would have to tie a rubber-band tightly around your finger to cut off circulation completely. Then it turns purple, then gangrene, then dies and falls off the body. And once that happens it can never return to the body. If a finger is chopped off suddenly, and if you hurry before the tissue dies, it is possible to have it surgically restored.

The same is so spiritually. The church is the body of Christ- of which He is the only head (authority). We are baptized into Christ's body (church)- this is being born again (of water and the Spirit). We then take of the Lords Supper in the assembly of the saints (Christians) upon the first day of the week- that is how the blood continuously brings life to the body. The temporary foot falling asleep is when we sin. The tissue is not dead, it just needs the blood to flow properly. "If you confess your sins He is faithful and just to forgive you." As long as you are in Christ you are saved. But if you are a prodigal son- that's like the finger being chopped off- you better hurry to return it before it dies. "But if you sin willfully there no longer remains a sacrifice for your sins." This is like having a heart attack- if your heart stops beating, the blood stops giving you life.

So it is not a or a matter of "I'm out of Christ every time I sin, and back in Christ every time I repent." You can lose your salvation by dying while being a prodigal son, or choosing to leave the church, or using the blood as a license to sin as you wish. But as long as you remain in Christ, your sins remain forgiven. As long as the blood flows through the body, all its tissues are alive and well. The blood brings nourishment from feeding on the word of God, and it filters impurities (sins) out of the body on a continual basis- whether there are impurities or not, the blood flows.

As long as you are growing in Christ (sinning less and less, even to the point of none at all). Whatever does not grow dies.

At the end of the day the words saint and elect are both applied unto a genuine believer in Christ.....the follow bears out when the words are studied in context...

a. Saint-->Holy One <---based upon salvation and is indicative of our standing in Christ as holy

b. Elect-->chosen <---based upon salvation and is indicative of being chosen in Christ

Both based upon biblical salvation dia faith through grace!

Paul said the same, he remained a saint throughout.

(I wouldn't mind being thinner either. Lol).

Romans 7:14-25 NLT
[14] ......The trouble is with me, for I am all too human, a slave to sin.
[15] I don't really understand myself, for I want to do what is right, but
I don't do it. Instead, I do what I hate. [16] But if I know that what
I am doing is wrong, this shows that I agree that the law is good.

[17] So I am not the one doing wrong; it is sin living in me that does it.
[18] And I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature.
I want to do what is right, but I can't. [19] I want to do what is good,
but I don't. I don't want to do what is wrong, but I do it anyway.

[20] But if I do what I don't want to do, I am not really the one doing wrong;
it is sin living in me that does it. [21] I have discovered this principle of
life-that when I want to do what is right, I inevitably do what is wrong.

[22] I love God's law with all my heart. [23] But there is another power
within me that is at war with my mind. This power makes me a slave
to the sin that is still within me. [24] Oh, what a miserable person I am!

Who will free me from this life that is dominated by sin and death?
[25] Thank God! The answer is in Jesus Christ our Lord. So you see how it is: In
my mind I really want to obey God's law, but because of my sinful nature I am a
slave to sin.

so if i read this right, you become better through your will, you obey the law, and then you are saved, so jesus plays no part in this up until ?

he died for you so you wouldn't have to be slave, but i guess to you slavery is better than freedom. at least your comffortable

I heard it explained this way. When we are saved (born again spiritually) it is that
spiritual awakening which makes us a new creation the new man. This applies to
women as well!

The old man is that soulish part of us with old habbits old attitudes. The bible
talks about the need for renewing of the mind, that doesn't happen in an instant.
This verse was written to the church.

Romans 12:1-2 NIV
[1] Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God's mercy, to offer
your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God---this is your true
and proper worship. [2] Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but
be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to
test and approve what God's will is---his good, pleasing and perfect will.

It takes a life time to change, Im 49 I don't think the same as I did when I was 21.
I would like to think I'm less shallow, less judgemental, more patient, I don't take
things for granted like I use to. I now understand that nothing lasts, everything is
temporary etc. I never use to listen to that still small voice of God, now I found
myself desperately wanting to hear etc.

Ive had to learn a lot about God and His way, as opposed to my way. I'm still
learning. Things that mattered before, no longer seem important now, I look
at things from the perspective of heaven more.

Part is life experiences, a lot is learning from Jesus and His word. There are things
I still need to overcome but I'm changing. My mind is being renewed etc but it's
the work of Jesus in me.

Without Him, I would still be shallow, selfish, judgements etc. The law cannot
renew your mind, it's the work of the Holy Spirit in you.

But we all have that constant battle where we want to do the right thing but keep
mucking up. Its the old man, old nature verse the new man new creation, etc.
I believe that is what Paul was referring to.

Sometimes its more hard than others, but the closer to Jesus we draw the easier
it gets. Pray, pray, and pray again. :) One day we will put off this old man and old decaying
body (that definately didn't get renewed) and we will live with Him in eternity when we
are transformed in the twinkling of an eye.

Ha ha sorry that made me laugh, Ive just lost 18lb I'm dieting and lots of clothes
no longer fit so I've had to buy new ones. Yep, definately put off the old man (old body)
and on with the new.

Trouble is when I go to get new clothes I keep automatically going for the larger
sizes. I keep forgetting I need smaller sizes now, so I keep trying to put the old
body back on metaphorically speaking. :)

I know exactly what you mean...I was told 4 years ago that i am type 2 diabetic so i had to lose weight through eating healthy, i have lost 2 stone and my clothes were getting baggy, i went to buy some new clothes and to my amazement at the time i needed 2 sizes smaller, great feeling don`t you think, well done you for losing the weight, it`s not an easy thing to do, people do not understand how much we have had to give up our lust of the flesh where food is concerned lol, although mine was junk food, lets keep on keeping on sister :)...xox...

Psalm 1

How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked,
Nor stand in the path of sinners,
Nor sit in the seat of scoffers!
[SUP]2 [/SUP]But his delight is in the law of the Lord,
And in His law he meditates day and night.
[SUP]3 [/SUP]He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water,
Which yields its fruit in its season
And its leaf does not wither;
And in whatever he does, he prospers. [SUP]4 [/SUP]The wicked are not so,
But they are like chaff which the wind drives away.
[SUP]5 [/SUP]Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment,
Nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.
[SUP]6 [/SUP]For the Lord knows the way of the righteous,
But the way of the wicked will perish.

Trying to teach people that sinners and rightoeus saints are different conditions after coming to Christ is a never ending job...if People would just see themselves how God sees them...the kingdom would manifest boldly....I went to Psalm 1 because this idea is usually presented only in the NT, but it is found all over the Bible..

Several that adhere to eternal security wrongly accuse those of us that understand our position in Jesus Christ as teaching sinless perfection and we are preaching you are sinless.... A Saint is a sin-forgiven son or daughter of God that will still SIN,

A sinner is the old man and buried with Christ and a saint is the new man, raised into newness of life with Christ...

If you believe you have received Jesus and still have 2 natures fighting for control of your Spirit, you need to....GET SAVED...
