I go to bible study with believers that are born again and we serve each other in love, I have a comfort level only for small groups.

I have been to church but I like the intimacy of a small group and where we learn together

I will be honest but I have you on ignore, but I clicked on your post for some unknown reason, I am sorry but I am not able to converse more that what I have said.
since you have declared I am on ignore, I will respect you decision and not reply to you any longer...I understand the function. Sorry I replied to many of your posts...had I known you placed me on ignore I would have respected that and not replied...if you declared this before and I missed it, then that is my fault...

I saw a small glimpse of the kingdom when I was born again, because I felt the Holy Spirit come into my life in a powerful way.

Believe in His sacrifice for you completely, there is no need to strive for salvation.

This is the Good News...Believe it, is absolutely and completely true because Jesus said so!!!

it may seem obvious to me ,, i would love to walk into The kingdom one day,, i know tho no matter how hard i try or want to coz ive prayed this many times to let me see your kingdom father but as of yet,, i have had no repsonce... how about you

A real life example would help if you can pick a sin that it doesn't embarrass you too much:) to share.
Hi SBG...One of my biggest sins was alcohol...I used it and abused it, by nature i am a very laid back person, due to my nature as i was growing up i was abused in all the areas that abuse covers :(...My Mother died when i was 18 months old, this led me to grow up in the care system, through my growing up years and late in to my forties up untill 18 months ago when i got saved i lived under the mental health system, i was very sick and the devil had his hand on me, i reached for the bottle time and time again, sleeping more then awake, causing fights while drunk, so angry at the abusers i took it out on my self...After becoming saved, i still reached for the bottles, cans, bars etc, was even addicted to speed the drug, but now the Lord has broken them chains, so every time i went for the bottle, i would wake up feeling so ashamed because walking with the Lord my sins had now started to bother me, so in stead of waking up from the drink and going on, i would wake up full of remorse because i felt the pain of the cross...Ii started to fall on my knees crying out to God in godly sorrow, it was my actions while i was drinking that were wrong, my language, my behavior towards people, i felt God correcting these things in me which caused me to repent, and now the gaps between the drinking are so far apart that i am still in awe...:)...I am always aware now if i am around drink, the Lord calls this to my mind...I hope i have explained this enough, and by the way, our Faithful Father broke the addiction to speed 8 years before i even knew the Lord \o/ Praise God ...xox...

So true, I wish I had followed this better from the start, but when we venture into a new world one does have to learn to navigate it...hey... I am maturing in the world of CC :)
I fell into the deep end of the pool to start, engaging atheists, agnostics, and various other non-believers on a secular site that had very little moderation. It was not my plan but it sure was eye opening and a great education :) I was fairly new to the faith at the time, then, too, so I was on a steep learning curve and really did learn a lot :D

Stephan; im guessing that they perceive that by focusing on their identity in Christ who did it all for them, therefore His growth becomes theirs...its derived from the false understanding of Jesus' statement "it is finished".....be blessed

Can an I respond like Stephen does?

"Your wrong on all points"

he seems to think it works, maybe it will hear too?

naa,, but it is still true, your wrong on all points.

But unlike him, I will sprain why. Think so,

When you focus on us on your identity I. Christ, your also focusing on who he is, and you realize, you still have a long way to go, this prevents you from becoming stagnant, and stunt in your growth, and forces you to continue to "run the race" as Paul puts it, bcause every time you see Christ, you see self, and well, they just do not match up,

your position in Christ gives you the courage to continue to run that race, because if your honest with yourself apart from that, when you see you as compared to Christ, you would feel hopeless, or have to lie to yourself about how truly like Christ you are.

I am not so familiar with all the etiquette of how to do things, I do learn from you, but I do not like what I say to anger people so I can take you off ignore and you can if ignore me :)

no. wrong. we went through this a few weeks ago. in Galatians 5 -9, Paul uses the word leaven to describe mixing the Law with grace. and before you condem this ( and me ) I just checked baker's evangelical of Biblical theology , and it has same commentary on Galatians 5 -9 as what I just said above.
Nooo, you're wrong, & the Bible proves it.

1 Corinthians 5:8
New American Standard Bible
Therefore let us celebrate the feast, not with old leaven,
nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

Matthew 16
11“How is it that you do not understand that I did not speak to you concerning bread? But beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees.” 12Then they understood that He did not say to beware of the leaven of bread, but of the teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees.

And your "likes" are wrong, too.:p

Hi Ariel82, pardon me but you are correct; it is God who causes the growth. Jesus is our all in all.

"So the Lord God appointed a plant and it grew up over Jonah to be a shade over his head to deliver him from his discomfort."
Jonah4:6

"Then God said to Jonah, “Do you have good reason to be angry about the plant?” And he said, “I have good reason to be angry, even to death.” [SUP]10 [/SUP]Then the Lord said, “You had compassion on the plant "for which you did not work" and which you "did not cause to grow," which [SUP][h][/SUP]came up overnight and perished [SUP][i][/SUP]overnight. [SUP]11 [/SUP]Should I not have compassion on Nineveh, the great city in which there are more than 120,000 persons who do not know the difference between their right and left hand, as well as many animals?”
Jonah4:9-11

So, Jesus does that too?

Why then aren't we all totally perfect?

Jesus DOES do everything right, doesn't He?

Hypergracers & easy believists believe that.
Hi Stepha...I have to be honest with you...I do not understand those terms you have used although i see them being used a lot in here, before i came to this site i had never even known of them...I just typed above what i said because that is what the Bible has taught me, is my Bible teaching me wrong...Only when we read the Word of God we get an understanding of it because we are being led by the Holy Spirit, or else there is no understanding to what we read...I have never even researched them things you speak of above, i know that i am doing ok because if i was not, then i would not have the Peace from the Holy Spirit telling me otherwise...xox...

Leaven in NT & OT always speaks of sin. Not a particular sin, but sin in general.
true, this is why Jesus told them the kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, from which the women (false church), took and hid (by stealth, while men slept they crept in unawares) in three measures of meal, (the pure meal of the gospel, of which the leaven was injected) till the whole was leavened (the whole fallen away church of the women in Rev 16 & 18, Mystery Babylon, who says she sits as a queen, and will become no widow, neither shall her children suffer any sorrow.....Its also a parallel parable to the mustard seed that grows into Nebacanezers great tree that feeds all flesh, and the fowls of the air (false prophets) lodge in the denominational branches thereof ..............

Sarah offered up cakes having three measures of meal absent the leaven.......be blessed

How do we "run the race", If Jesus has already did everything?

easy believists will believe anything simples at the drop of the a hat coz thats what they where told...........

Its simple logic that alot of people dont always have there detective hat on or no detective at all to even researh the truth......

nope not one iota .........AT THE DROP OF A HAT THEY WILL SAY X = Y...

It is writen to search the scriptures not hold to one scripture.. and it is also written to love your brother. it seem quite a few in this thread cant handle a little stone from there brother coz at the drop of a hat they also resort to shear ignorance..
