Not entirely sure if Ariel and stunned is addressing myself and Meggido, but I came back online to say this...funny that I knew to do this too..

I am not entirely at odds with Meggido. I do know what he is speaking about and I agree with him wholly as to how the body of Christ should be operating in maturity.

I only disagree with him on this matter of the positional righteousness being foundational truth. Well, too...I see Holy Spirit operating moreso than us and my thinking is he centers too much on our part. I think there should be balance in this. Perhaps we should hash this out in pms.

But, when it comes to spiritual operation? I agree with him.
I'm not entirely at odds with him either, or with stephen for that matter. It's their unlovely speech and ungentleness that I object to. They do not seem to speak lovingly a lot of the time.

Could men in the OT find favor with God?
Greetings Stunndedby grace: yes there were many such as Job, Daniel, Hannah ect......Jesus atoning blood went into effect in Gen. 3-15 when sin entered into the world.....All the OT saints believed in a coming redemption, although it was after the fact, in that it was a coming event in the future, notwithstanding it was equally redemptive for all those both Hebrew and the Gentile in the pre-cross era, for God is no respecter of persons.......be blessed and dig deep while proving all things in scripture

so says the man that seems to sit behind a computer 24/7 arguing in favour of a forgone conclusion of sin in the scriptures:confused:

payment for sin, and Jesus satisfying God's wrath was never heard until 1300 years after Jesus died...how could that be? Sadly you wont take the time to even studying the history of how and when, and by whom these feeble doctrines that you believe came into existence...
good bye, study then come back and talk, again study the OT

Thank you...teachers do like to learn ...comes with territory I guess, but sometimes my brain gets tired as I get older LOL

I was so lost in the theology of men, being an avid reader, it did me very little good though,

I had to start afresh and find a clearer understanding of what it means to be born again in Him and learn what means to live in Him without all that theology, if someone talks from the heart they have my attention, and here I believe Paul speaks from the heart ...

[SUP]38 [/SUP]For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

[SUP]39 [/SUP]Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 8

When we are persuaded (that deep down conviction) of God's truth, His love will come upon us and we cannot help but be more persuaded. God loves it when we agree with Him.

I am so please you are here on CC as we travel this road of learning about Jesus, until we meet Him face to face
Thank you ...I was just reading that verse out to my self while having some quiet time with the Lord...I was repeating each word and thinking about how MUCH He LOVES us:eek: and then by saying Thank you God that NOTHING can separate me from your love...It just made me feel so secure, it kind of confirms all His promises to those of us who TRUST, BELIEVE and RELY on Him...xox...

I'm confused. The way they obtained this - is it the same way I obtain it? (Apart from it being coming vs. being done by the time I was born.)

all beutiful but you forgot the keeping the faith until the end part,,,(which is a works from us) like ive always said true faith is unconditional love from two parties not one..
Contraire JIMBO43, We are saved by God's grace, we continue to live our Christian life by God's grace, and when our time on earth is finished, He will give us dying Grace.

Yes, but don't forget the through faith part.
I've been going back and forth on this in my mind all day.
The faith wasn't of me, it was given to me (to my mind and to my understanding of the verse).
So...why does He not give it to some others?

with out context, is like sketching without purpose. if no body see s , your work, after your dead, will you care.
strange question would be , why continue, when you have been proven wrong. is he/she living on the north or south pole. lets air our thoughts, together, you can run and there is no place, that you can hide, consider the one ant , without and other ant.history with ofspring. good thing the animal went in by two by two. etc how else, did you get to voice your opinion, i have already quoted dr who in the tardis, small problem, who made the tardis to shield, the rain from your head. etc

the world loves the payment for sin doctrine because it subtly implies that Jesus died in their place, therefore holding the truth in righteousness) not wanting to know that in truth Jesus died on our behalf that we might be reconciled back to the Father......

I...believe it was? There is no other explanation I can think of for why I did not believe God existed and then in a moment I did.
I didn't see and then I suddenly did. I can't fathom how that came from me or something I did.

I've heard "choose for Christ." That's not how it happened to me. I suddenly saw that He was and what choice IS there then? In fact, it's like...prior to seeing, I HAD no choice, but after seeing I did have a choice. No one would reject God after they see that He is would they...?

Oh I'm glad you're back! I was in a tizzy. :D
The OT sacrifice that spoke of Him to come, the animal died in their place, to cover their sin. Without the blood there was no forgiveness of their sin. This is someone (or something, an animal) dying instead of me having to die. There has always been this need to have that covering of blood for sins and it has always been extracted from an innocent, even in the garden an animal died to cover them. (Animals were subjected to this futility, they didn't choose it).

Who doesn't know this has given us a way to reconciliation? Every time I murder someone in anger but I can still go to Him, it's because the Blood covers my sin, isn't it?

faith is two way bonding not one .. can anyone see that in this scripture or am i the only one ?
Hi Jim and I see and also agree, with your statement above.

I noticed your 3 soldier's on your avatar and your military reference hear on Christianchat.com. First of all I want to thank you for your military service to your country. I served in Vietnam from 1970-71 4th Inf. Div. 4/42, Air Mobile; Honorable Discharge.

Today, 47yrs fast forward I have incurable, stage 4 prostate cancer caused by Agent Orange from Vietnam, it is an anti foliage chemical used by our Govt. to clear jungle vegetation. My wife say's, the Vietcong could not kill me and neither will the cancer. We all pray for an extended life for me - friends, family and Church family. Most people here on CC know this about me already.

So please excuse or at least pardon me, if I have said anything that would be offensive to you and so that we can both move on an enjoy our Christian life and the "peaceful but lively" conversations we all anticipate here at, Christianchat.com. God bless.

Thank you for your service and thank you for reminding me my "problems" are not really all that big after all. I am humbled by your courage and uplifted by your faith. Praying for you. Thank you.
