The reason their is so many questions in how to be spiritual is because some people are not, otherwise they would not be asking these questions. There is only one answer to these questions and they are in the bible, but for some people, they cannot grasp the truth, therefore seeking another answer that might suit them.

No offense Meggido. But any root of any faith that is not grounded in faith will lead to peoples downfall.

Look at you. You can not make one post without dogging someone, Your pride is deep. You can not just stop at what you think it right according to scripture. or just posting Gods word and letting it stand, you have to attack and belittle.

Me personally, I hope you find Gods grace. Because then you will see how Gods word stands on its own, and you do not have to attack others. Just find the peace that surpasses all understanding.
And or dogging grace.....................

What did Noah find in God's eyes.........GRACE
What did Saul who became Paul find....GRACE
What do ALL find when they trust Christ.....?

A positioning of Grace......

Romans 5:1-2 <---In the grace wherein we now STAND!

Jesus said where two or three are gathered, there I am also.

Thats church, today's churches look nice thing like th NT chuch,
I agree the ones I saw look nothing like that, but I HAVE to believe there is one somewhere. That somewhere there are some communities or pockets of christians meeting together, sharing all things, walking in the Spirit, truly committed to bearing each others burdens and bearing with one another.

Somewhere there has to be one man who began to truly love and others found him and they all trusted God enough that He brought them unity in love.

Do you ever sit back and read yourself....you are more of a contradiction than EG....

You cannot state out of one side of your mouth, you cannot have imputed righteousness and boast of what the blood of Christ does to your sin and then say you are powerless over sin and continue to call yourslef a sinner saved by grace...

A saint is sin-forgiven child of God that will still sin, but has been given resurrection power not to let SIN have them or dominate them...the fact you so easily call people sinless perfection pharisees proves you have no heart knowledge of what you boast about having....

You and your crew cannot differentiate between a mans condition before salvation and who he is in the eyes of God after conversion....

Condition before Jesus: sinner
Condition after Jesus: new man, saint that will still sin, but has power over sin and is now a slave to righteousness.

You and many here boast of having such a great salvation. but condemn and disqualify yourselves from the very salvation you were freely given, because you identify more with wicked and sinner, than rightoeus and saint...

Who do you identify with in the below Psalm?
[h=3]The Righteous and the Wicked Contrasted.[/h]1 How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked,
Nor stand in the path of sinners,
Nor sit in the seat of scoffers!
[SUP]2 [/SUP]But his delight is in the law of the Lord,
And in His law he meditates day and night.
[SUP]3 [/SUP]He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water,
Which yields its fruit in its season
And its leaf does not wither;
And in whatever he does, he prospers.

[SUP]4 [/SUP]The wicked are not so,
But they are like chaff which the wind drives away.
[SUP]5 [/SUP]Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment,
Nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.
[SUP]6 [/SUP]For the Lord knows the way of the righteous,
But the way of the wicked will perish.

We will never be sinless and still commit sin...but to say you are sinner after receiving the free gift of salvation and righteousness, means you have only mentally assented to PART of the WHOLE truth of the Gospel...and have not truly been set free...

The false humility you guys carry is putting Jesus to shame and crucifying him all over again....continually gloating you are a sinner, puts Jesus right back on the cross and one day you will give account....Jesus does not have to die every time you need to state to the world you are still a sinner saved by grace...
Post 27569 go read it and bark up another tree........

this is universal salvation doctrine of demons that says all will be saved and none will perish....even if you deny Jesus you still make heaven...just admit to people you are a universal salvation believer...

You and Robb Bell would make great room mates...
No actually it is a biblication of the 4 words mentioned as applied into all who believe.....maybe you should set your cafe blend dogma down and open your eyes to the truth....!

Or they could know how God has worked in their life and are seeking brothers and sisters that share similar spiritual transformation..,,the Bible teaches the need for fellowship and joining as One body lead by One Spirit.

Asking questions and how people respond show the maturity of the answered and allows us to recognize our siblings.

yep, more universal salvation foolishness....
The more you talk the more you prove how blind you really are.....you really make me want to bring back the cake taker statement...I directly referenced what the bible states about lust and you tie it to salvation...get a life man and do not address me anymore if you cannot be honest concerning what I said!!

I learn a lot from other men who learn from the Spirit. But do I NEED to learn from them? No. It says the Holy Spirit guides us to all truth and that we have need of no other Teacher. We are to call no man teacher, it even says.

And I don't agree with the thought that we don't have church in here. When we have those peaceful lulls in the fighting and a few of us walk in the unity of the Spirit together, we share, we edify, we bear with each others burdens, we praise, we love, we learn and we grow. Rather than thinking we aren't having "church" together, I actually thank Him for the blessing of the internet.
Amen, Stunned.

It would be nice to have more of that where we edify one another instead of fighting. I pray for many on here as their names come to mind. I can't always remember names......there's so many. :)

As far as teaching in concerned, a pastor I listened to said that he and another pastor get along really well. They share things of life and share things of the Lord, His truth to edify and build up. They impart knowledge and get along really well.

But there was a but! :) He said, but........the knowledge that was shared does not become true knowledge until he goes to the scriptures, reads for himself and then either rejects what was said and receives the truth of what was said.

My Paraphrase of what he said.....otherwise it rattles around within and doesn't find a place to call home. It's only truth as you acknowledge it as truth by studying the word of God. The bible and the scriptures are the authority for truth.

That truth
stuck with me because the Lord said through Paul for us to prove all things and hold fast to that which is good. :)

EG belongs to a home based church movement...he should disclose this when he speaks....

Our experience has never been good with these home based church movements...they are usually formed because of hurt, offense and bitterness towards what they define as a traditional church...and most claim they were never allowed to be the gift they were called to be....invariably we see them become what they left because mature spiritual leadership is lacking and most are still bound by hurt, offense and bitterness....and their self calling manifests and destroys lives...

There is only one answer to these questions and they are in the bible, but for some people, they cannot grasp the truth, therefore seeking another answer that might suit them.
I don't believe that. I strongly desired to meet someone who could answer my questions about the Spirit I'd received. I had a lot of questions. If I'd found a man who could answer, I'd have asked them of him. To ask questions doesn't mean a man isn't spiritual.

Thank God He gave me a few men to help me, through their writings, although they had gone to be with Him already.

An interesting thing about these men(and a woman!) God gave to me is that most of them were treated badly by their church. The woman, when she sought council from the men who should have been able to help her - they told her she was hearing from satan! She suffered a lot from that but God was good and sent a man to be her spiritual helpmeet and when he listened to her, he said, but that is God! Don't be frightened!

I disagree that to ask questions about this walk with the Spirit means a man is not spiritual. Who receives the Spirit and doesn't thereafter have many confusions?

Don't see how Dcon is a universalist...he says workers for are going to hell....so something doesn't line up.
Amen......just shows he has a personal vendetta...how many times have i clearly stated that all who reject Christ and or those who trust self and works over Christ will end up making the place that has higher than normal temps and be liquid deprived......again..just proves he has a vendetta and cannnot post without mouthing someone!

I like what you say "WE GROW"

We grow in obedience, fruit in us grows.

If you don't mind can I just add to confession of sin.

in a sense we need to grow in that as well.
My life's experiences was that when I got it wrong I was actually to frightened to come before God.
Firstly because my life experiences were I got it wrong and when found out I would get the biggest beating of my life and severe punishment, many a bruise and bloody nose given by my mother and step father. Never knew my real Father, only a could of memories. Him breaking into our flat and beating my mother, he went to punch her, she ducked and got it on the nose (as a result I have not sense of smell and suffer sinus problems) then the police coming in and beating him to a pulp with battons.

A child of God needs to understand that if we get it wrong that it is ok to come before God if they get it wrong.
He wants us to, he isn't going to beat you. He wants us to confess it to him. How can he help us if we don't.
He wants relationship with us, he wants to remove anything that gets in the way of a loving relationship.

A lot of people in today's society don't get that.
A lot of Christians don't get that.

The above may seem weird but if a person starts to get the love of our Father for us and when we get it wrong we can before him again and again. As they get this and realise he is for us and not against us then he can and will conform us to the image of Jesus through love.

that perfect love that casts out all fear.
Amen!

So sorry about your childhood. ;( *hugs*

Mine wasn't so great either, but definitely not as bad as what you experienced. Many of us here have had a really tough beginning in life.

Yeah, we need to see our heavenly Father in a whole new light from our parents. He's a loving Father that will discipline us, but not by giving us bloody noses or broken bones.

His discipline is motivated by love and He knows the perfect chastisement we need and what we can accept in each circumstance because He's loving, kind, gentle and caring.

Nothing can compare with His loving kindness. He draw us, corrects us and disciplines all in the name of love.

And yes, we grow in growing. :)

God bless you Bill!

He may look like a sheep, but he cannot act like a sheep. He cannot go bah, but instead he howls, because he is a wolf.

But they remain friends, correct? If he rejects it because it doesn't seem right to him with scripture, or if he puts it on the back burner because he just doesn't know if it's true or not yet and waits for God, does he call his friend up and begin screaming at him and calling him a liar and slanderer? Does he say, you need to study more because you're ignorant!! Or does he still LOVE his brother?
