Goodnight, Magenta..

On another note... Today was a whopper..in the sense that I've been shown a hint of reality about my future and its just overwhelming to the point of being almost paralyzing with fear.. but I think I'll be ok. It's just something I should have faced some time ago and looking into it for the first time just overwhelmed me. I'm not sure if/how things will work out. Just really needed to get that off my chest..

I'm hoping for an early out, not an extension. It amazes how when someone retired from the Post Office where I work when I first started, the retiree would come in on their last day with family members and give a teary-eyed speech goodbye and a union rep would present them with a gold watch, then there would be cake and punch in the break room. NOW, whenever someone retires, they just leave, and most of the time they call in sick their last day or two and barely even say goodbye to anyone.

It truly is. :( The last guy who retired (Joel) secretly put in for stress leave and was on stress leave for 90 days (with pay), then he went straight into retirement and did not tell anyone goodbye. He was a quiet guy, but at one time told me that he absolutely hated that place!

That stress leave thing sounds like a plan.

Good morning all :)

DayTuesBlessings.jpg

I am back to work today after having yesterday
off due to a massive excruciating headache :(

I slept most of the afternoon and then of course had a not
so great sleep last night complete with a weird dream

Dan, I have worked with people like that, who disappear after
years of work and want nothing to do with anyone after they leave.

Gabe, I am sorry to hear you are struggling under the weight
of your prospective future. The older I get, the more I know what
that is like, being alone, and with the cost of living constantly rising.

I rarely thought much of the future when I was young.

I hope you do not let it weigh too heavily on you...

I'm not completely sure I understand your sentence but remember - we all have our weights we go thru and God is all about it to make good the end game. He builds us up and forges our Character along the way. In the end it always looks spiritually good, and at times if it is literally (weights) we can be enhanced physically as well in view of healthy.....Smile. :).
