since you have no respect or have no clue to the trouble, you could be in, if freedom of speech is revoked.by an other religion, here is a clue.

have you any idea, why christians are being killed, by an other religion.(is to name one of them)

For God So Loved the World
16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.John 3

I found this quote from me and it looks like I said that John was addressing gnostics. I have never said that 1 John epistle was just for gnostics as that would be wrong.

Hi Grace,

But that's the point, John is not addressing Gnostics. He's not talking to them. He's talking to believers. He's concerned that they might be swayed by the false teaching of gnosticism.

It's like Paul addressing the false teaching of circumcision. He's not addressing the Judaizers, he's speaking the the believers in Galatia.

You have said in the recent past:

In other words, John is establishing that he was an eyewitness to the fact that Jesus truly did come in the flesh. He did this to convince the Gnostics that Jesus was not an illusion.

"We ( believers - namely John himself ) proclaim to you (unbelievers - gnostics ) what we have seen and heard, so that you (unbelievers - gnostics ) also may have fellowship with us (believers ). And our ( believers )fellowship is with the Father and with His Son, Jesus Christ" (verse 3).

Hi Desertsrose, my understanding of who John is referring to is when he uses the plural pronoun "we", is; all of the eyewitnesses of Jesus earthly ministry; to include all of His Disciples. After his epistle was circulated among the churches then of course many people would have read his Holy Spirit inspired words, including Gnostics. I've included my brief bible study on this issue. God bless.

Text: 1John1:1
What was from the beginning, what we have heard,
what we have seen with our eyes, what we have looked
at and touched with our hands, concerning the Word of Life.

1)What was from the beginning: The incarnate, "Word of Life", Jesus Christ, who was with the Father in the beginning. John1:1. Bible scholars say this verse can refer to Messiah who was present at the beginning of creation in Genesis1:1, or the birth of Messiah, either interpretation is correct.

what "we" have heard, referring to himself using "first person, plural pronouns"; Some Theologian's teach that the plural pronouns used, ie; "we, us and our," refer to those apostolic eyewitnesses of the earthly life and ministry of Jesus of Nazareth and also inclusive eyewitness groups of people, ie; all of Jesus disciples.

Time line: This type of book is called An Epistle; which are authoritative letters, written by apostles, and sent out to individual people or congregations. They are divided into two groups; Pauline epistles & general epistles of which is 1st John. This letter was likely written during Apostle John's senior years, late first century.
Quote: The English word "epistle" originated from a Latin word, epistola, that itself originated from a Greek word, pronounced epistole, that meant to send on. While the English word "pistol" originated from the same Latin version of the word, epistola, as "epistle," epistles were a means of delivering communication, not of delivering bullets." Dude....your sinless perfectionism has blinded you to the truth.......
Dude your sinful perfection, and filthy rags confession will be left wanting when weighted in the balance on judgement day...Are you so foolish to believe that the more you sin the more grace you receive? If so, you have no clue what grace really is. You truly have perfected sin.............

Like all HGs, you have no clue what grace actually is....If you think more sin causes more grace you are even more deceived than I thought...Deceived people don't know they are deceived, that the horror of it. God said STRONG delusion, not just ordinary delusion buddy....it appears by your own words that you have indeed perfected the works of sin (sinful perfectionist).........try presenting your filthy rags on judgment day and see how well that works when they are weight in the balance and found wanting.........

By accepting Jesus as our Savior, Jesus is put in our place at the second judgement and we are declared righteous because of His life. We then have the freedom to grow up into the Christian character talked of everywhere in the New Testament and shown at work in the life of Christ. This is a process and takes time. The Holy Spirit knows each person more intimately than they know themselves and works with each one accordingly. Growth is something we look for in our lives as proof that the Holy Spirit is working through us to will and to do His good pleasure. It is consummated by those, who like Jesus, die for others - even praying for those who kill them. There is no greater love than this. But the Holy Spirit is the one who takes responsibility for doing this through us. It is our responsibility to listen and obey Him. Grace is ALL of this.

Willybob...do you really believe that anyone here believes that the more we sin the more we have grace?

It is so far fetched and such a false accusation. Be careful how you twist the Grace of God it is not a good thing.

Why on earth would I present my filthy rags? Really you need to stop trying to be perfect and let yourself believe that God died for your sins and has made restitution by His death and given us His righteousness

11For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men. 12It instructs us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live sensible, upright, and godly lives in the present age, 13as we await the blessed hope and glorious appearance of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ.…Berean Study Bible Titus 2:12

(Romans 6:1-14):

6 How should we respond to all of this? Is it good to persist in a life of sin so that grace may multiply even more? 2 Absolutely not! How can we die to a life where sin ruled over us and then invite sin back into our lives? 3 Did someone forget to tell you that when we were initiated into Jesus through baptism’s ceremonial washing, we entered into His death? 4 Therefore, we were buried with Him through this baptism into death so that just as God the Father, in all His glory, resurrected Christ Jesus, we, too, might walk confidently out of the grave into a new life.

5 To put it another way: if we have been united with Him to share in a death like His, don’t you understand that we will also share in His resurrection? 6 We know this: whatever we used to be with our old sinful ways has been nailed to His cross. So our entire record of sin has been canceled, and we no longer have to bow down to sin’s power. 7 A dead man, you see, cannot be bound by sin. 8 But if we have died with Jesus Christ, we believe that we shall also live together with Him. 9 So we stand firm in the conviction that death holds no power over Christ Jesus, because He was resurrected from the dead never to face death again. 10 When He died, He died to whatever power sin had, once and for all, and now He lives completely to God. 11 So here is how to picture yourself now that you have been initiated into Jesus: you are dead to sin’s power and influence, but you are alive to God’s rule.

12 Don’t invite that insufferable tyrant of sin back into your mortal body so you won’t become obedient to its destructive desires. 13 Don’t offer your bodily members to sin’s service as tools of wickedness; instead, offer your body to God as those who are alive from the dead, and devote the parts of your body to God as tools for justice and goodness in this world. 14 For sin is no longer a tyrant over you; indeed you are under grace and not the law.

Amen ...grace or law, one or the other, cannot be both.

The law cannot be wrapped in grace, and grace cannot be infused into the law.

Amen.....a gospel of a different kind with no power to save, double cursed and all who follow it according to Paul are bewitched and foolish!
Good morning Sir, here's your daily dose of medicine

Directions:

1.You can apply it to your life, faith and walk with God not just 3x a day but always.

2.The result will be seen thru the works of faith in love and in obedience to His Word and commands.

3.This should be taken with an open mind, a loving heart and a contrite and renewed spirit for effective results;

Matthew 19:16-30 The Rich Young Man Now a man came up to Jesus and asked, “Teacher, WHAT GOOD THING MUST I DO TO GET ETERNAL LIFE?” “Why do you ask me about what is good?” Jesus replied. “There is only One who is good. If you want to enter life, OBEY THE COMMANDMENTS.” “Which ones?” the man inquired. Jesus replied, “‘Do not murder, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not give false testimony, honor your father and mother,’ and ‘love your neighbor as yourself.’” “All these I have kept,” the young man said. “What do I still lack?” Jesus answered, “If you want to be PERFECT, go, SELL YOUR POSSESSIONS and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.” When the young man heard this, he went away sad, because he had great wealth. Then Jesus said to his disciples, “I TELL YOU THE TRUTH, it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to ENTER the kingdom of God.” When the disciples heard this, they were greatly astonished and asked, “WHO THEN CAN BE SAVED?” Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but WITH God all things are possible.” Peter answered him, “We have left everything to follow you! What then will there be for us?” Jesus said to them, “I tell you the truth, at the renewal of all things, when the Son of Man sits on his glorious throne, you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or fields for my sake will receive a hundred times as much and WILL INHERIT ETERNAL LIFE. But many who are first will be last, and many who are last will be first.

DO YOU NOT KNOW THAT DEVILS ARE FALLEN ANGELS WHO WERE CAST OUT OF HEAVEN BECAUSE OF THEIR DISOBEDIENCE, GREED, PRIDE AND EVIL DEEDS AND BEHAVIOR.

isaiah 14:12-15 “How art thou fallen from heaven, O lucifer, son of the morning! How art thou cut down to the ground, who didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, ‘I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north. I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the Most High.’ Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.

Matthew 4:8-10 Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. “All this I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me.” Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.’”

John 8:44 You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desire. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.

2 Corinthians 11:13-15 For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, masquerading as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. IT IS NOT SURPRISING THEN, IF HIS SERVANTS MASQUERADE AS SERVANTS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS. Their end will be what their actions deserve.

Romans 8:7 the sinful mind is hostile to God. IT DOES NOT SUBMIT TO GOD’S LAW, nor can it do so.

James 2:19 You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons BELIEVE that—and shudder.

Matthew 13:41-43 The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will weed OUT OF HIS KINGDOM everything that CAUSES SIN and ALL WHO DO EVIL. They will THROW THEM INTO THE FIERY FURNACE, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. HE WHO HAS EARS, LET HIM HEAR.

Malachi 3:18 And you will again see the DISTINCTION between the RIGHTEOUS and the WICKED, between those WHO SERVE GOD and those WHO DO NOT.

Have a nice and TRUTHful day!

Do you believe any form of relational forgiveness as outlined in 1 john 1.9 is required when we sin?

What do you think the Hey Son really is...a suggestion? or a prompt to say a quick...yep I confess I missed it forgive me....
I do yes. Let's be honest sin does affect our relationship and antything that does needs to be dealt with.

The Hey Son is the Holy Spirit telling me I didn't get that right and at that point yes I confess to God, admit I got it wrong tell him I and sorry and ask him to help me.
