We got two popular options.

Either He will reign from Jerusalem, reinstitute the law of Moses as the law of the land, with the ezekiel temple and animal sacrifices and with all the nations going there to celebrate the feast of booths. He will reign for a thousand literal years during which satan is bound, but at the end he is released for a little season and he will deceive the nations Gog and Magog and they will surround the camp of the saints in literal Jerusalem most likely, and then fire will devour them from heaven, and then we get the "second resurrection", new heaven and new earth.

Or He will destroy this place and create all anew, some go to everlasting punishment some to everlasting life.

So it will either be a completely new heaven and new earth, or it will be a world where the kingdom of Israel reigns supreme over other nations with Jesus as the head.

I got one question about the millennium I want to attach to this post, how does it reconcile with Matthew 25:46 where clearly the judgments that happen when Jesus returns are eternal, and there does not seem to be anyone left in a mortal body, only two destinations.

Depends what aionios kolasis means.

Aionios means an age doesn't it?

So an age of correction and an age of life, lasting 1000 years, give or take the odd thousand years.

I take aionios in that context to mean eternal, as it is translated. Due to us being promised eternal life, not just life for a thousand years.

Well even if it is an eternal punishment, it doesn't say what the punishment is.

Not being given an eternal body strikes me as quite a grim punishment.

Peace
lion and lamb and baby will sleep together (nature is restored)
nations who do not worship lamb in Jerusalem will be punished with no rain,
the king will rule the world
satan will be bound

alot better than today, that's for sure.

Matthew 24:37-39
37 But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

38 "For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be"
.

Absolutely Grandpa
To me this applies to the great tribulation, and the unprepared ones will be those who hoped to be raptured, and preterits etc, as well as all the unbelievers from all nations. Yes there are survivors. Those that mourn at Math 24 and "on account of the chosen ones".This now takes everyone alive... to our Lord's presence as ALL see the SIGN.

So...I stop there with understanding prophesy, as now whatever happens... happens.
Our Lord is here !!! I trust in our Lord to fulfill the rest of prophesy (wrath).

I do believe that "the tent of God will be with mankind" after the 1000 years, so clearly SOME go to heaven, and SOME remain on earth.

My hope is earthly, as I would love to help develop God's Eden and SEE his incredible creation, while befriend his animals and all creation.

Yes J7 I agree with this;
He will reign from Jerusalem, reinstitute the law of Moses as the law of the land, with the ezekiel temple and animal sacrifices and with all the nations going there to celebrate the feast of booths.

Yes... and then we get our wings (I think).

So where do you see Jesus's literal reign on earth?
where the OT prophets said he would be, In Jerusalem, In his fathers house. Where all people will come once a year to worship him, and if any family does not, they will be punished.

Zechariah 14:17
And it shall be that whichever of the families of the earth do not come up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, on them there will be no rain.

this can not be talking about heaven, people will not in in heaven.

if u keep reading in that chapter u see animal sacrifices are present like in other places. so if u take the 1000 year reign on earth, u gotta explain the animal sacrifices with the book of hebrews u see.
sekkluud mon why would we go back to the old system????? back and forth elevator u see. God can do what He wants but why go back n forth.

No. Do not need to d that at all, animal sacrifice was always a sign, not a means to an end,

all i I have to do is see

1. Jesus is ruling in jerusalem
2. Any nation or family from all over the earth who does not go worship will be punished,
3. Know that in. O timing the past have any of these things be true, so the prophesy must be future,

Non of the rest matters, I just have to know jesus knows what he is doing, so I trust him,

Turns out Jesus reigns from Jerusalem for a 1000 years. Peter asked Jesus about that

Acts 1:6 " When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?"

The Lord just showed me I got itching ears when it comes to this, I have to just repent and accept what is written. You live and you learn. Powerful.

Acts 1:6 " When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?"

Technically Israel consisted of the ten "northern tribes" and they were being restored to the kingdom in the 1st century.

Both Peter and James write about their restoration to Christ's kingdom:

1 Pet 1;1 Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, To those who reside as aliens, scattered (Greek - diaspora) throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia, who are chosen

1 Pet 2:19 But you are A CHOSEN RACE, A royal PRIESTHOOD, A HOLY NATION, A PEOPLE FOR God’s OWN POSSESSION, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light

James 1:1 James, a bond-servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, To the twelve tribes who are dispersed (Greek - diaspora) abroad: Greetings.

Strongs

G1290
diaspora dee-as-por-ah'

from G1289;

dispersion, i.e. (specially and concretely) the (converted) Israelite resident in Gentile countries.
