Hmmmm...lotta ppl on here are working really hard to keep themselves saved. Whew, you guys sure looked tired and worried if you've done enough to be accepted.

I'll just rest in God whilst y'all work your way to heaven.

The thing is, if you do not care, how can that be called faith? It seems the opposite of it.

Exactly!

That's what I've been saying. You can sin and still be a believer in Christ. But you can not shrink into unbelief and still be a believer in Christ. See the difference?

(I'm up past my bedtime....I'll read the rest of your post tomorrow.)

You're welcome undergrace.

But I am about to lay down this fight. They are too busy working themselves to heaven, keeping themselves saved until the day of redemption.

Whew!! Look at those lines under their eyes.

Works don't work for those who rejected Christ as the sacrifice.. I know He was the last and accepted one... It's obedience not works.. Read the Bible right and you'd see the difference

Where exactly does the Bible say continuing to believe is you trying to save yourself? We Bereans want to know.

So you'll just continue to trust and believe in Christ while the rest of us continue to trust and believe in Christ? You do realize that's what you're saying, right?

The difference I see is that true believer will not shrink back to unbelief.
It seems redundant to say someone who does not believe is a nonbeliever :D

Isiah 64-5 says works of righteousness out of joy joins us with God, (covenant relationship), in contrast to religious works of filthy rags that separate us from God, verse 6........ There is much to do about “personal relationship” intimate relationship”, popular sayings that sound good on the surface, but are really unbiblical, and left to one’s imagination to define. Whereas, covenant relationship is made clear in the text. The bible speaks of a relationship to God as to “covenant”. In a covenant, both side give all they have to the other, such as the covenant with David and Johnathon. God gives grace in all His earnest of the Spirit, and man gives his steadfast faithfulness in obedience from the heart. This is man working together with God in a covenant relationship that cannot be obtained by any other means possible.. it’s called the new covenant. We are saved by Gods’ power (grace), combined with our faith (steadfast fidelity towards God)…This biblical concept is all but lost within professed Christendom today..What we enter into through the door of repentance is a covenant relationship with God, which is a very serious agreement between both parties……………………….be blessed

Jesus told us that those who seek diligently will find. He promised to reveal Himself. Saying such things as "personal relationship" is unBiblical actually goes against what the Bible actually tells us. (Romans 8:16 The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children.) JESUS gave His all. The new covenant is in His blood.

Good Morning from my end....

May we all come to make the Testimony of the Messiah our Rock.

We know and believe He died to Redeem us so let us continue therin and walk His path of Righteousness through His Testimony.

For GOD so loved the world that He gave His Only Begotten Son for us.. No Greater love than this.

So let us with confidence Obey Him because He is the author of our Eternal Salvation.

To GOD be the glory forever and ever, So be it.

The works of an obedient heart is light my lovely... let them believe you are tired and weary.. for you know in your heart whom you love and obey and He gives you rest.

Forfeit is in there under "falling away"
Scripture confirms the heart condition of those who fall away, in that they are not saved. Specifically, Jude confirms that apostates are those who don't have the Spirit.

The world's definition of apostates is different to the biblical definition, which is why some have this wrong belief that apostates were once believers. But Jude confirms apostates never had the Holy Spirit, so right there is confirmation of the truth. If you read the entire chapter it says much about non believers.

Amen. And a golden flyswatter. Lol lots of trapped flies in the house last night!
You just need a kitty :)

They'll catch anything. Here there's a cricket problem. Somehow they're coming in through the vents!

Just wish my cats would eat them when they're done torturing them. The clean up isn't fun

Have you read the New Testament Willybob? Because what you are defining as covenant relationship is what God made with Israel.

The New Testament is a will of inheritance. I'm not sure why you dislike the term "intimate relationship" because we can't be more intimate than to become one with someone, and that is what we have now.

Are you a member of His body? Have you been regenerated? Become the new man? Actually a new Genesis of Spiritual beings never seen on earth since Adam and Eve before the fall? Are you listening for His Voice to speak? Sitting at His feet?

Isnt that intimacy?

Are you defining faith as steadfast fidelity towards a God? I do agree with not having any other gods before Him, for that would be foolish since there is none else. But, I wouldn't say that's the definition of faith.

Anyway, interesting post you have made and I wait for your reply. :)

But All liars will have no part...
There's a connection with 1 Corinthians 6, which confirms that the unrighteous will not inherit the Kingdom.

The unrighteous are those who are not saved. They haven't been born of the Spirit. "And such were some of you (believers)"

and a big good morning to you, and isn't our God wonderful to give us an inheritance in His Kingdom through His precious Son, Jesus? I was thrilled when I saw that in scripture.

Nice to see you back Katy. :)

see you all later!

We do have anywhere from 2 to 4 kitties outside. They do a great job there..And the dogs chase bugs and lizards that occasionally come in...

but these flies were here buzzing. I think they are gone now. :)
