maybe i see it wrong
but i thought what she meant by "For those who abide in Him, who walk in His Spirit...I will not lose my salvation because I am truly His child"

as defining a faith that isnt dead

not a requirement of works

Will also say, the last half of Romans 8:1 has been added......There is now therefore no condemnation to them which are IN CHRIST JESUS

i kinda liked how instead of "once saved" he turned it into "when saved"

before getting into his break down of "how we know"

i listened to it all the way through too

i also liked when he spoke of our works having nothing to do with salvation

but Gods works
Yes I agree, if we remain in the Holy Spirit:)...I liked the realization that we have to check ourselves and not just assume that all is fine because we gave our life to Christ...I believe as I see it alot that people assume they are saved but have no understanding what it means to walk with Christ, it`s sad because people who just except that they are saved abandon Him on the first round, they get bored, they live in the world thinking they ok because they gave their life to Jesus:(, not so, and 1John clearly states what it means to be deceived, but some people never even pick their bible up to read it...I really liked how he spoke about having fellowship with God, that was really nice, how can we have fellowship with God and not learn about Him through His word, we can never get to know about His Son, it`s all about Jesus...Thank God for His word, I thank Him for ALL His warnings that keep us on the straight and narrow path :)...\o/...xox...

thank you for actually taking the time

haha

it also made me think of CC
listening now when I can, he used John 2, Something we have used many times concerning people who left the church and lost faith or belief.

It does sound like u here in CC.. in fact after that many o the arguments he uses we have used. Curious to see where it leads, I am at minute 10, have some work to do then will try to listen to more.

ahhhhhhh i see what youre getting at

Philippians 1:6

6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ

i am starting to agree more and more with the statement

"those with a living faith are sealed by God"

(but i agree with her in how important it is to observe ourselfs)

Sorry...we don't agree....and that is not what I said in my post to you....IF we HAVE to do something to REMAIN IN HIM then it is a works based salvation that we DO and not him.....end of story....by saying what you say here you negate everything you said in the post I responded to....35147

You just went from SECURE in CHRIST to I MUST KEEP MY SECURITY in CHRIST by what I DO........
I am secure in Christ, I am saved, I have assurance that Christ will finish what He started in me...But there are people who started walking and turned away although they once believed...I am saved through Grace, I have my faith in Christ, I do not have to do anything of my own doing but abide in Him, if I do not abide in Him then I will become an empty vessel...xox...

Hi NNM...I just sat and watched this and it really opened my eyes to more understanding...It sure does take away the osas and I can see why...We must live our life out day by day , obeying Christ, obeying His commands, love like Him, and not grieve the Holy Spirit because when we do, we will not have His Spirit to comfort us, and it is the Holy Spirit who gives us our assurance of salvation...A lot of people think that once they are saved, that`s it, but in reality they become deceived, salvation is a process lived day by day, moment by moment, and I will read 1 John this evening, so much to learn from it, and I now understand why osas is not written in the bible, thank you for this post...xox...
if I may sis, From what I just read. Where does faith come in, How can one have any assurance of salvation if salvation is dependent on our actions, should that not be faith in self. And not faith in God? I have not list4ened to all of the video. Does he really say this?

Just want to say also...If we abide in Christ, then we have assurance of our salvation:) but we must abide, we have the Spirit of God in us who works all things through us, but some do walk away as 1 John explains, they were once believers but then turned back, this is a false belief, that`s why we must ALWAYS check our selfs to prove we our walking in the Holy Spirit...xox...
Salvation is dependent on us abiding or doing. Where does Christ come into the equation? I am asking honestly sis, I pray you think about this.

John said people who left never had faith before they never abided into the vine, they were the tales amoung the wheat who were not real believers. Thats why they left.

SO.....your saying you do not believe in the security of the believer because you must do something to remain saved? That is what I am getting from what you are saying.....

What does saved by the uttermost mean?

What does KEPT by HIS POWER mean?

What does Jesus is the beginner and FINISHER of our faith mean?

What does I will COMPLETE that GOOD work of faith I began in YOU mean?

DOES the branch on a tree cut itself out or remove itself?

Does a vine on a watermelon plant REMOVE itself from the plant?

hes simultaniously addressing people with a dead faith and living faith and talks about his approach and his full intentions

he wants to convict decieved sinners

and encourage those who accepted Christ and God started working in

as defining a faith that isnt dead

not a requirement of works
the problem is, the work of abiding is thus a requirement to keep salvation,

I agee thought, I hate the Term OSAS, Like your said, he is saying once saved, From the sounds of what I heard so far. He is saying when, ot even the word if fits, saved always saved,

i disagree

i didnt hear that once lol

maybe listen to it when you have time

he went against sinless perfection as a requirement

and against OUR works earning anything

I agree

it is important to know you are really saved, so you have assurance.

But not to know to do to maintain or keep your salvation, because salvation, once obtained, can not be lost.

Are they lost? If abiding is required to be saved (not fruit bearing but actual salvation) then we must earn our salvation by our own work.

That is dangerous. Remember what Jesus said, But Lord, did we not do all these works in your name (abide) what was jesus response, I never knew you

they did not lose salvation, they never had it.

From what little I have heard, if he does. He has contradicted himself. So I doubt he said this. I will listen more when I am sitting back down.

it seems to me

that these people will go to hell if they die that way

but it also seems to me

these people never had faith in God

only a god they made up

or a dead faith with head knowledge
