Well, PJW is holier than Apostle Paul, who called himself the chief of sinners. How many inspired books has he written?
I like the fact that Paul wrote..."[FONT=&quot]Be ye [/FONT]followers of me, even as I also am of Christ." (1 Cor 11:1)
Paul was the worst-chief of sinners, before he was saved.
To think he remained the worst of sinners after his conversion is ludicrous.

Will you also accuse him of hypocrisy for writing..."
[FONT=&quot]Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame." (1 Cor 15:34)[/FONT]

Yes I totally agree with you.
Jesus loves everyone. For God so loved the world.

What I find intersting is that people just spout without actually thinking about how who they are spouting to will react.

I myself endeavour to understand a person and how they tick. I have had to learn that based on my own psyche.

And I am sure Jesus did that.

The adulteress woman “Does anyone condemn you, neither do I.
Zacheus “Hey mate I’m coming to your house today, you got any food in?

Those who sought after Jesus he dealt differently than the religiously hypocritical religious establishment, those who had no issue exalting themselves above those they considered crap and and put a bar in place that they couldn’t jump over themselves.

To me there is a difference between ripping their doctrines apart as opposed to ripping the person apart.

Words that Jesus used, and the Apostles used can in today’s culture seem harsh, maybe not in their day though.
So maybe they used words such as foolish, hypocrite, sons of the devil, serpents and so on.

So as I say for me it’s understanding the person we want to engage with and engage in a way that they would respond to.

Ok maybe I am soft and naive but it seems to work for me.

If people say it without any backing, But just say it, which sadly I have seen way to many times in here. It is bad.

The non solicited attack and abuse of others in here is horrific. Its no wonder the world looks at the church and laughs.

Your very first line, you twist. Making the word by, void. So that alone discounted your whole post to me and I read no further.

Do you realize that Paul and James had a dispute?

And Paul came to a realization that he was only going to preach Christ and Him crucified. Not by our faith, we are saved....we are saved by His blood sacrifice. He died for all the world. But, faith in the message is what will give us the benefit of the Cross.

So preach reconciliation and let the Holy Ghost do the judging of the heart. And the work of our salvation daily.

What has happened to the simplicity of the gospel of Jesus Christ?

That which Dcon...preaches. ;)
AND SO DID PETER and others argue with Paul.

Titus 1:10 (NCV)
[SUP]10 [/SUP] There are many people who refuse to cooperate, who talk about worthless things and lead others into the wrong way—mainly those who say all who are not Jews must be circumcised.

Acts 15:1 (ESV)
[SUP]1 [/SUP] But some men came down from Judea and were teaching the brothers, “Unless you are circumcised according to the custom of Moses, you cannot be saved.”

Acts 15:24 (NKJV)
[SUP]24 [/SUP] Since we have heard that some who went out from us have troubled you with words, unsettling your souls, saying, "You must be circumcised and keep the law"--to whom we gave no such commandment--

Galatians 2:11-21 (NCV)
[SUP]11[/SUP] When Peter came to Antioch, I challenged him to his face, because he was wrong.

[SUP]12 [/SUP] Peter ate with the non-Jewish people until some Jewish people sent from James came to Antioch. When they arrived, Peter stopped eating with those who weren’t Jewish, and he separated himself from them. He was afraid of the Jews.
[SUP]13 [/SUP] So Peter was a hypocrite, as were the other Jewish believers who joined with him. Even Barnabas was influenced by what these Jewish believers did.
[SUP]14 [/SUP] When I saw they were not following the truth of the Good News, I spoke to Peter in front of them all. I said, “Peter, you are a Jew, but you are not living like a Jew. You are living like those who are not Jewish. So why do you now try to force those who are not Jewish to live like Jews?“
[SUP]15 [/SUP] We were not born as non-Jewish “sinners,“ but as Jews.
[SUP]16 [/SUP] Yet we know that a person is made right with God not by following the law, but by trusting in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus, that we might be made right with God because we trusted in Christ. It is not because we followed the law, because no one can be made right with God by following the law.
[SUP]17 [/SUP] We Jews came to Christ, trying to be made right with God, and it became clear that we are sinners, too. Does this mean that Christ encourages sin? No!
[SUP]18 [/SUP] But I would really be wrong to begin teaching again those things that I gave up.
[SUP]19 [/SUP] It was the law that put me to death, and I died to the law so that I can now live for God.
[SUP]20 [/SUP] I was put to death on the cross with Christ, and I do not live anymore—it is Christ who lives in me. I still live in my body, but I live by faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave himself to save me.
[SUP]21 [/SUP] By saying these things I am not going against God’s grace. Just the opposite, if the law could make us right with God, then Christ’s death would be useless.

As usual none are online. But do report Peter. Once the mods see all the reports, he is history..

I was not going to report it. They know Peter and myself have history. So I try not to report things (although I reported a post where he slandered me a few days ago) But this, I had to report. I hope we all have. Whether Dcon is innocent or not does not matter, the fact of what Peter did to knowingly and willfully shame someone based on things outside of CC is undefendable

If that's true then there's no hope for any of us, including you my friend.

I have never come across a believer who thinks grace is a "license to sin". That may be the thought of the world, but not the thought of a new creature in Christ.
Do you expect a servant of sin to admit it?
I admitted it once, and God sent a man to show me I can live without sin.
I am grateful for His compassion and grace...not to mention the power He imbued we with.

Is it just the JWs, Mormons, and Catholics that have horrendous beliefs?

These 3 religions are the most often bashed by Protestants for their false beliefs…But are they any more apostate than the common beliefs of the everyday evangelical church denominations? that teach 1) that Jesus became sin, 2) He took your place on the cross, 3) the Father poured out His wrath on Him like an ugly step child, 4) therefore your sin was transferred to His account, 5) and His righteousness is transferred to you because you were born in sin, and cannot achieve anything above the level of a filthy rags sinner, 6) and when God sees you, it’s through a glass darkly, in that His vision becomes blurred and absent minded because He only sees Jesus, 7) and when you die, THEN you will become free from sin, thus unknowingly making your own death the actual atoning factor that finally takes away sin? 7) and through all this you are eternally saved. After all, 8) “eternal” must mean eternal, therefore you cannot lose your eternal salvation, because it is eternal, and it’s to him that worketh not, and if anyone does put forth the effort to depart from sin on the straight and narrow, they are a self-righteous liar and the truth is not in them…Amen and kudos to him that worketh not!

Oh My! I contend that the Conclusion of the matter is that these fairy tale beliefs listed above, of which are the heart and soul for Protestantism outlined in the Westminster Confessions, or as I call it, (the West Monster Confusions), of the which are adhered to by 100s of millions of professed Christians, are no less ridiculous than that of the JWs. In other words if these concepts are examined closely they are just as hideous and unbiblical as the Mormon beliefs.

No matter how you feel about me, the message that you too can live without sin does not hinge on the behavior of anyone but yourself.
God has made a way to live without sin.
If you can't believe me, quit sinning and then God will hear your prayers for a different messenger.

Delusion to the max, stop sinning as if it's some thing that you yourself can just stop entirely,so let me get this straight a person can remove their heart and brain without dieing so as to be sinless?
no????
exactly the point so long as we are here we will sin not intentionally of course but it's impossible not to sin, because what you are basically declaring is that you have never wronged anyone, never lusted or had greed or any other sin, after being baptized,I understand your idea but it doesn't carry, there is only one time for remission of sin through baptism and so I can see where you are pretending you haven't sinned, but it just isn't true for there are even more sins then what I have mentioned that you don't even perceive in a day, such as sloth(idleness),once again what you are saying is that we don't need Jesus after being baptized because we can keep from sin on our own, which is the same as a false report(lieing) anyone can do that go around telling everyone of one's perfection but guess what that is a sin right there(a prideful look) so you have sinned multiple times just as peter just by declaring your perfection.

That is a good one, keep up the "assumptions" if you want,I'll stick to facts.
Your post manifests the truth of..."[FONT=&quot]No man can serve [/FONT]two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. (Matthew 6:24)
I pray in Jesus' name that all will hate the one they now serve with their sins.

This is an interesting idea.

What is illustrative is the heart and how people behave.
I am accused of being a hypocrite, walking in the ways of the evil one, doomed to hell,
yet if I show the accuser of me is doing the very things not acceptable, somehow I am
guilty of sin.

So you know how we are meant to confront sin within the body. If we become aware of
it and it is denied, you are to bring it to the church, and if it is still denied, the person is
to be expelled from the assembly.

As with most things, the fellowships to which you belong hate this discipline and deny it
has any value, and expel people who actually believe in righteousness and integrity.

Now if dc is squeeky clean, then amen. I just follow the evidence. And the real problem
is I am squeeky clean, so it creates a dilemma. If there is a real problem I am called to
bring it into the light and show people what we are talking about.

If what is brought into the light is proven true, then amen, truth has abounded. If not,
then the cause of the problem is also established. Amen to this.

The matters of the Kingdom are not about being nice and polite, of letting evil carry on,
of dispossessing people because you do not like something about them.

And righteousness has never been about hurting people, it is about getting right with God.

But it does not surprise me about your calls for me being the evil party, and dc the wounded
one. I can already see you know where the truth lies, and still I am evil. That does make me
laugh, because it does not make any difference. We are talking about someone swearing at
someone else. But obviously this is such a serious issue to you guys, I am now evil, and this
is such a crime.

Do you actually have a home life or know what spirituality actually is? I do not think so.
Talk about a bunch of pharisees, you take the biscuit......
None of what you have just posted is a kind response to PennEd, who didn't attack you personally in any way.

There's the rub Peter. I will echo his question. Why did you not feel remorse from posting an accusation against a brother from someone who obviously has hatred for dcon?

What is in your heart?

So your "excuses"are justified where as my being honest with God is somehow an "excuse" fascinating that.
What is the use of using an excuse, if we don't change what we did?
Sin is not the fruit of the Spirit.

I've lurked in this thread nearly every day for the past few weeks. It just seems especially animated these last 24 hours is all.

==================

As for Gal. 2:11, I marvel at the things Paul did in the early days of Christianity. But I can think of better examples in the bible when it comes to picking someone to emulate in regards to meekness. Like, say, Jesus Christ. :)

The truth is that we are the righteousness of God through Jesus Christ. It is always "in Him". Else we will hear, I never knew you, you that work iniquity.

Anything that is not birthed out of the power of Holy Spirit will be of our own humanity, which is iniquity. And mostly religion.

I am sure this will be my last Post to you, so I will try my best to make it COUNT, one last time. Just to show you HOW FAR YOU, AS A RESULT OF YOUR FALSE THEOLOGY, HAVE DRIFTED FROM ACTUALLY FOLLOWING CHRIST, (if you ever really did), meditate on these VERSES:

1 Peter 4:8-9 (CSBBible)
[SUP]8 [/SUP] Above all, maintain constant love for one another, since love covers a multitude of sins.
[SUP]9 [/SUP] Be hospitable to one another without complaining.
