Wait a minute...PJW

You think Jesus overcame His flesh? Did Jesus have the flesh? Flesh-the human nature with its frailties both physical and moral and it's passions?

I think not.

You cannot even stay on topic.....your sinless perfectionist farce will not help you on the day of judgment...
You are free to believe what you want.
I chose to show God that I love Him above all else.

More fluff from a sinless perfectionist who thinks he knows us all........man....I can count your sins just in the last 10 pages....
But according to you they won't matter.
So what is the big deal?
You aren't "throwing stones", are you?

I had to look up the second word from the dictionary. But I needed no dictionary to tell you that you just condemned yourself by your own words.
Because if sins of omission are equally judged, and the blood of Jesus only wipes away past sins once, then you are in trouble.

This is why original sin is an important doctrine. It prevents the sinless perfectionism doctrines
So a catholic doctrine makes it impossible to love God above all else?
Not buying it for a minute.

Amen...just read what he writes.....anyone who claims to be sinless is deceived and has no truth according to John who was inspired.......
John was addressing two very different kinds of walk, in 1 John 1.
The folks walking in darkness cannot say "I have no sin".
The folks walking in the light, however, can say it because all their sins have been washed away by the blood of Christ Jesus.
After that "cleansing", only a false repentance would accommodate more sin.

"I'" am not "mortal".
Only the skin is mortal.
"I" will live forever.
You mean body don't you? Only the body is mortal? Am not entirely positive that is so though. The Spirit will return to Father, but the soul? Needs saved. So would not the soul be mortal too?

Our soul is that which will suffer if not redeemed.

Looks to me like he is trying to make it two in a row.

Notice PJW did it again, in that post You (BillyG) replied to, making it look like I said, what he actually said.
He is probably rolling on the floor laughing, but doesn't that make guilty of this:

2 Timothy 3:13 (HCSB)
[SUP]13 [/SUP] Evil people and impostors will become worse, deceiving and being deceived.
How many "deceptions" do you know of that advocate obedience to God?
How many "deceptions" do you know of that advocate disobedience to God?

Now even though this is to Dcon, and am sure he will have a great answer, I have one too. If all your sins are washed away, and you no longer need washing, why does the scripture say we are washed by the water of the Word?

Yeah nice platitude.
That's completely dodging the question.

2 Thessalonians. 3:14-15 clearly speaking to saved believers, calls a disobedient person 'brother' - on what basis then is this shared sonship - this brotherhood in Christ - since it is clearly not contingent on perfect obedience?

How is it that a disobedient believer is the brother of an obedient believer? Are you the brother of sinners? Of unbelievers?

Don't run away from the hard questions, dude. In them are amazing answers
Perhaps it is a diplomatic way to keep the unrepentant from feeling too sorry for himself.
We are to have mercy on everyone, no matter their standing before God.
It just may turn out that our mercy will sway him to the light.

Do you think I would have received less flack if I started every post with "brother"?
Perhaps, but I want to illustrate the great divide between believing and disobedient folks.

I went back and read my post . I stand by my statement you made a false accusation
"Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor
Blessings Bill
If all men sin, then so did Jesus.
That is what you are standing behind.

This verse was true, until Jesus came and conquered sin.
Not all are sinners anymore.
We have been freed from sin.
Thanks be to the Lord Jesus.

IOW you deny the deity of Christ, preaching here that he is a mere man, or you despise scripture, because it is in no way unclear on this point - or both.

That's clear to all of us. But what i don't understand is why you keep throwing shade on me since your beef is obviously with the Lord and the scripture?

btw you also stated adamantly that this verse, Romans 3:23, "should say" that all used to fall, past tense. Which is not true - which makes what you said bearing false witness. You never retracted that false assertion, nor did you admit that it was incorrect: that's how this all started, i corrected you, and you've been diverting ever since with this absurd false accusation.

So the other thing i don't understand here is how you think you're still sinless when we've all just watched you publicly sinning, and you aren't even repentant, but still boasting instead??
In the context that Paul used the verse, he was correct. The Jews were no better than the Gentiles and needed a Savior.
But to use it to defend the ongoing sinfulness of folks, or the impossibility of ceasing from sin, is just plain wrong, brother.

Not surprised at all.
I left, but my banning was no longer allowed to return.

Am pretty sure I have been followed in other forums by a person who still has a gripe against me. Even here recently.

That forum wasnt a christian forum. Just one created for arguments.

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

All have sinned the Bible says except Christ because:

Christ Knew No Sin and did No Sin.

2 Corinthians 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

1 Peter 2:22 Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:

What's it like to stand up and preach to a congregation that all believes they've attained perfection, if the preacher thinks he's perfect too, and agrees that everyone he is talking to is perfect?
Maybe someday you'll meet a Christian and get invited to a service.

Does he just pat everyone on the back and then pass the plate?
First we pray together., if there are no visitors.
Then we take turns bringing to light the manifestations of God in our lives, or admonitions from scripture, or exhortations from scripture, or thanksgivings for some help we have received, or a testimony about some ncounter we experienced with an interested soul.
Not really a script to follow.
Pastor will then teach.
Plans are discussed ands hopes are voiced.
At our Sunday service we also break bread and have the communion wine.
There is a donation box for the church, as we support the ministry.

Paul very obviously wrote Romans after the death, burial and resurrection of the Lord.
Try again.
Yep.
But his effort was pointing out that the Jews also needed a Savior.
Their sins were no different that the Gentiles that they condemned and avoided.
He wasn't ever saying that all men would remain in sin or be denied access to the freedom from sin that Jesus supplied.

Adultery PJW, don't commit adultery. But, you are distracting from my point. All left. Would you cast that stone? According to you, you would have the right to choose stoning or forgiveness.
No, as I have the same mind as Christ.
I am free from the law, so not under it's protocols.
I live under a new covenant, a perfect covenant, with God.
