What completely blows my mind is God knowing the end from the begining still created the universe knowing that as Jesus he would have to suffer and die as the Lamb of God. He loved the people He created with free will so much He did that. Therefore all who accept His sacrifice are Children of God!!

Amen....reconciling the word unto himself before he even cast down the world....it was all planned.....down to the very number of hairs on the head's of every man, woman and child.....I personally believe a deeper picture emerges from a handful of hints found in scripture concerning the whole grand experience under the sun....

Romans 6:16, “Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves servants for obedience, you are servants of the one whom you obey, whether of sin to death, or of obedience to righteousness?”

Acts 5:29, “And Kepha and the other emissaries answering, said, “We have to obey Yah rather than men.”
There is a contrast here between servants/slaves. There are only two kinds of servants/slaves in this world, in the spiritual sense; servants/slaves of sin unto death, or servants/slaves of obedience unto righteousness.

When we place our faith exclusively in Christ for salvation/believe the gospel by trusting in His finished work of redemption as the All-sufficient means of our salvation, we then become "servants of obedience unto righteousness."

Being slaves of sin is put in the past tense. Paul goes on in Romans 6:18 - "You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness."

Notice in Romans 10:10 - For with the heart one believes unto righteousness..

Notice in Romans 4:5 - But to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith (not works) is accounted for righteousness.

So is it require or optional to follow what Yahshua/Jesus said to do?

1 Yahanan /John 2:3-7, “And by this we know that we know Him, if we guard His commands. The one who says, “I know Him,” and does not guard His commands, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoever guards His Word, truly the love of Yah has been perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. The one who says he stays in Him ought himself also to walk, even as He walked. Beloved, I write no fresh command to you, but an old command which you have had from the beginning. The old command is the Word which you heard from the beginning.”

Obviously we do not have to obey 1 law found in scripture, do as we please, live in sin and like the devil because of grace and eternal security.............shakes head at your incessant push of the law man.....!

If one doesn't have the new creation man nature of God, no amount of whitewashing by rote will gain entrance to the gate of heaven.

Yesterday, a nurse practioner came to my home from my insurance co. And we got into a discussion almost immediately, and not started by me. A bit shocked I was. Lol

She was intelligent, and I think seeking for truth. And wasn't one you could just give the 4 spiritual laws, and lead in a prayer.

The only one in her family not involved in ministry, brother and parents all pastors.

And she had questions. These debates in this particular thread helped because I've learned so much from others points of view.

So this is not a thread that's without merit. We don't know who all has been reading, and searching for truth. Searching for Jesus.

Obedience/guarding His commands is not forced or legalistic for genuine believers. Rejecting Christ and not guarding His words is descriptive of unbelievers, not believers

To the sinless perfectionist crowd I have a question: Are evil thoughts sin? Is that not a sign of heart that is not pure? Oh oh!

That satanic religion has taken untold millions to the proverbial gates of hell.......
I just watched "Spotlight" the other day, telling the true story of the Boston Globe newspaper investigative team that broke the story of one hundred and forty nine pedophile priests within the city of Boston being allowed to continually abuse children in their care, while the higher ups within the RCC hierarchy paid off lawyers, destroyed official court documents, intimidated parents of abused children, and shuffled the offenders around to hide the truth of what was going on. It was kind of surreal...

I will add that I have had no less that three people behind the scenes message me and say they have changed their mind on salvation due to this thread.....two were raised in a works based salvation and have see the truth that any works produced are not for salvation but in light of and the direct result of salvation....that is exactly what the bible teaches....and will add....have also had messages concerning those who have seen the light on eternal security because of the promises of Christ posted by many on this thread.......some have complained about this thread or the length of this thread and I say.......what is the value of one soul? Jesus spoke to this and said...what profit is there is a man gain the whole world and lose his soul...NONE.....and what shall a man give in exchange for his soul...NOTHING....and the angels of GOD in heaven see rejoicing over 1 (one) sinner that repents and trusts the LORD......yea.....I say this thread has been more than worth it......!

I agree with this, but want to ask you opinion on something. Then why is it anytimes there is verses posted talkingabout obedience to His Instructions/Laws/Commands/etc. all kinds of "justified by works" "judaizer" "working your way to heaven" comments seem to be the go to?

Yahshua tells us;

John 14:23-24, "יהושע answered him, “If anyone loves Me, he shall guard My Word. And My Father shall love him, and We shall come to him and make Our home with him. He who does not love Me does not guard My Words. And the Word which you hear is not Mine but of the Father Who sent Me.”

I liked this post because it brings to light the evils of organized religion that does not have the truth nor does it possess the Spirit of GOD........pomp, ceremony and Satanic to the core..........!!!!!!!
