New International Version 1984 Matthew 12:15-21 God’s Chosen servant Aware of this, Jesus withdrew from that place. Many followed him, and he healed all their sick, warning them not to tell who he was. This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah: “Here is my servant whom I have chosen, the one I love, in whom I delight; I will put my Spirit on him, and he will proclaim justice to the nations. He will not quarrel or cry out; no one will hear his voice in the streets. A bruised reed he will not break, and a smoldering wick he will not snuff out, till he leads justice to victory. ****In his name the nations will put their hope.”
What is the point Seohce? We are not speaking of the Son, but what we are. Are you a servant, serving God? Or a son, being conformed and created in His image?

Paul spoke of being a bond servant, but I'm not talking about ministries, but what we are.

Why do we get so bogged down in "works" when our eyes should be on the life of Christ? He has already shown us what works are needed?

And which is why we can continue to watch 'Game of Thrones', right?
If you were standing in front of me now...I would flick your forehead. In love of course....and probably call you boy!

Its a "state of awareness" I think. My opinion though. No scripture.

If no sacrifice is needed for sin, Then a person can not lose salvation. How can a perfect person go to hell?

DO you ever listen to yourself?
That is his problem....he only listens to himself and exactly why his vacillating I keep myself saved dogma misses the mark!

such a long post u made. lucky for me i didnt have to start reading far. u butchered a verse and turned it on its head in the first sentence.
AMEN....and if you read both comic books that he inserted into this thread you will find numerous butchered verses and deceitful lying accusations.....such as the following ....yet he claims to have works for God and be practically sinless......

This thread and it’s author implies that there’s no need for works to a FAITH ALONE that SAVES(faith void of works).

WHO ARE CLAIMING TO BE “STILL SINNERS” OUT OF THE OVERFLOW OF THEIR HEART???

If we seek to do good works (we should feel the need to do so by furthering the Kingdom of God) that is not a problem. However, even non-believers do good works.

IMO, if we seek to do the will of God, good works will follow. But I fully admit that my salvation does not depend upon my works. Praise be to God the Father who has sealed me by the HS unto salvation through the blood of Jesus Christ unto that day He comes to take me home to be with Him forever and forever. Amen

PS: I do not believe I could do enough good works to ever live with Him in eternity.

I got a story about that.
When I was growing up Christmas was involved in how I said my first ever prayer.

They had a lutheran pastor come and watch the Christmas play. Then he started off by praying "Heavenly Father..." and as I heard it I thought to myself, hey, I want to pray to that guy too! And so I said my first prayer. I started praying for my earthly father to get clean from his boozing and other things he was involved in. Today he has been clean for a long time and is saved as well. Glory to God.
lol. Whatever it takes. Lol love your story!

He he keeps throwing this show around as if we all watch it. Most of us are here all the time.

And how would PHart know anyway if he didn't watch it.
That is exactly what I was thinking....unless he has checked it out...I have found those who scream the loudest and condemn such activities are the ones who partake the most......

Unnecessary derogation and a false and inflammatory accusation.

He never knew them, thus they weren't ever truly converted. True converts don't practice lawlessness according to Scripture. You say they do, contrary to Scripture in your attempted magic trick to make goats into sheep. You have to make goats into sheep to claim they lost salvation.
AMEN...anyone who attempts to make these people saved and then lost is as blind as a bat lacking echo location.....NEVER KNEW THEM is clear...they were never saved.

You know, I think I misunderstood your story here. I thought your father was present and heard the prayer.

Possibly a problem here?

I would like to know the exact "head" of this lying serpent. And am not talking about people.

And you do not teach works.

lol. If anyone had a doubt that Phart teaches works. Here you have it. Our salvation is dependent on what we watch on tv. It is there in black and white.

Yet people will still defend him as saying he does not teach works.. SMH
Numerous people have seen right through his false gospel which devalues Christ, His promises, His power...............

More calling others lost on here.

More straw man no sense attempting to maligned those who believe the biblical teaching of eternal salvation as people defending sinful lives. Your accusations are ridiculous and untrue.
Absurd and a few more words I can think of as well....but will spare so as to not be rebuked and or possibly banned for laying them bare ;)

Very interesting thread. Just my two-cents worth. One can work all they like but that will not get them into eternity with God Almighty.

Accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior is the only Way.

Then, once saved one will seek to do good works because one has become a child of God and doing good works should come naturally.

Ephesians 2:8–9

8 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, 9 not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

Matthew 3:8

8 Bear fruit in keeping with repentance.
AMEN STAR.........exactly....saved unto NOT BY......

I'm not sinless....I'm blameless. Because of my continuing faith in Christ.

Purposely watching salacious programming on TV and computer is nothing more than a trampling of the blood of Christ in a contemptuous unbelief. But I know most will not understand that because of OSAS doctrine gripping the church at this present time.

There's a BIG difference between struggling with sin and purposely indulging it, folks. The latter is nothing more than a return to unbelief. Turn around and come back to Christ while you still can, before he turns you over to your unbelief and you CAN'T come back, even if you plead with tears to come back.
Give it up man....you are not talking to lost crack heads on the street...you are engaging men and women who study the bible, men and women that are saved eternally by faith, men and women that trust JESUS and have been born again by faith....your "keep yourself saved drivel" has grown old.....You are the ONLY person I have ever heard spread such absurdities such as I HAVE TO KEEP ON BELIEVING to stay SAVED and to say ONE can lose salvation by watching a particular TV show is idiotic........
