I don't think she needs to "try" to get rich selling books. I went into Wal-Mart several years back. Wal-Mart had two whole shelves of nothing but Joyce Meyer books. They wouldn't do that if even the first one wasn't making money.

Whatever wealth they achieve isn't enough, there is always a next level they want to reach.

You don't think having cosmetic surgery is a big deal for someone preaching against the material world? Or maybe there is some work you would like to have done.

it kinda bothers me when she refers to the Most High as the all seeing eye.

i thought it was pretty pitiful when she held up the bag of her books and announced they were FREE!! . . . . . .to the first person that made a thousand dollar donation.
I doubt anyone would use that term out of ignorance, probably done in a mocking manner and to let her cohorts know where her loyalties are.

i agree, its hard to claim ignorance when your referring to the Almighty. when i was a little kid i knew better. but other than that i really dont have a problem with her teachings, dont agree with many of them, but wouldnt call them anti bible, teachers are entitled to their opinions. my big issue with her is the greed plain and simple.a true servant of the Lord would never desire so many possessions.

Ya know, a very laughable thing is that with every word that Paul wrote about "Scripture", he was speaking of the Old Testament. He was simply writing letters to churches and individuals. That's all they were when he wrote them. He was NOT calling his own letters, Scripture.
Yes and what’s the point ? Peter called Paul’s letters scripture.
2Peter 3:14Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless. 15And account that the longsuffering of our Lord issalvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you; 16As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction

Paul does not teach to speak in angelic languages, that again is not understanding what he is saying.

Paul is not teaching against woman teachers/preachers if one takes the time to examine the totality of all his writings

Churches make woman wears veils because yet again they do not understand the point the Paul is making

angel language and no women preachers. cant find these anywhere else in scripture.

For the people who listen to Joyce Meyer or read her books, what do you like about her? Some people don't like Joyce Meyer and does not think she should teach. What is wrong with what she teaches? I have heard Joyce Meyer speak some and have read bits and pieces of Battlefield of the Mind, but I am not a major fan of her. I prefer other speakers.

Joyce appeals to the unsuspecting..I received her to be proclaiming....I don’t want to wait I want riches now.. all about the treasure on earth..

Test all against GOD’s Truth.. if you have yet to read from Genesis to Revelation page upon page abstain from tv preaching.. these folks will appear godly but they are subtle and leading you away with error.. they plug in to you and you will relate to them etc...

There was a time before being born again that I knew not and had no discernment.. they were on tv so they must know their stuff I assumed..

So then you agree, I am glad....it is the misunderstanding of his epistles which has created odd ball ideas, and that Paul wrote with divine authority and inspiration.:)

Joyce meyer is an excellent bible teacher, especially for women, though not exclusive to them. im not too sure what to make of the wealth created by these pastors and teachers teachings, it seems if they were chosen and blessed for those purposes thier message from God to thier flock would be free of charge. i understand the tv expenses and all but in truth most of the pastors on television and in best selling books are hundred millionaires and you never see thier newest book or teaching about the same things the bible actually teaches like the instruction to take of our own wealth and extra, and supply the needs of brethren who are struggling with too little, without passing judgement,....the love in deed and truth part is missing from the high volume speakers.

some of the speakers also like osteen, He has a great encouraging message, he flat out says " im no teacher of doctrines, im just an encourager" i like to listen to him sometimes for that purpose encouragement also is a spiritual gift. but again some of the prices he charges to go to a speaking engagement of his are so high it just always seems as if something is not right because you never hear them speak about what the bible says believers are suppose to do an what we are suppose to believe about eternity, and eternal Judgement. impartiality according to our own deeds...... thses things are all clearly a part of the gospel just by accpeting whats written. some men are gifted to understand encouragements worth, while another has good understanding of doctrine. while another has good understanding of the Law and yet another has good insight into the kingdom of God preached by jesus, and then peter and paul and barnabus and John....when a oerson needs a good encouraging message, there are men like osteen, when one needs to hear about repentance and obedience, there are men that speak that, when one is seeking understanding of deeper spiritual truths there are men that have that part offered.....we need each other to have a complete understanding its Gods design.

Mrs. meyer has alot of great teachings in my view.

Tit 3:1 Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work, To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men. For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.

O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.

if people would stand up and show some common sense like Dude just did maybe the churches wouldnt have so many problems. how many oddball doctrines come from Pauls writings? doctrines that cant be found anywhere else in scripture. some people think the words of Paul are not equal to the words of Jesus.
This is teetering upon denying the sufficiency of scripture.

i agree. i like Paul. his letters are plenty good to teach from. i never liked using the term divine authority, the phrase gets used to much to discredit books.

Paul was not sent from the Most High, Paul was not the Christ, Paul was not a prophet of the Most High and there are no prophesies about the coming of Paul. He was st Paul, a great teacher, a contemporary of the 12. why not accept that and be happy with it, why the need to elevate him to something else?
