I am interested in discussing the number 37 and other relevant numbers in the Holy Bible such as 7, 12, and 73. (This not an exhaustive list by any means) I will recommend a video on youtube titled "Numeric Patterns of 37 and 73 in the Bible" and an article titled "God's number 37 - theme tells of perfection/sanctification/being saved.... which can be found at Amazing Word Home. I will post this article on this thread. I am also going to use this thread to present information concerning the King James Bible and the number 37. There is one significant place that this number occurs in the Bible and that is Revelation 13:8.

"Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

666 = 37 x 18

Thank you for your input :)

God's Number 37 - theme tells of perfection/sanctification/being saved...

When you see anything related to number 37 (and its reverse 73) think about number 777, perfection, sanctification, consecration, truth and Jesus. Thirty-seven can bee seen like three sevens - 777 - which has similar meeting. Examples speak for themselves and should make you wonder about this impossible claim...The 3700th verse of the Bible finds the Lord selecting the Levites to be the tribe of Priests who are to be holy and set apart for serving God - not coincidentally, this is also the 3rd chapter and 7th verse (37) of the book of Numbers. This is just one of the Bible's many examples showing how number 37 is related to being saved/raised up or being holy or perfect. Like all God's numbers, opposite meanings can also be found associated with them, so with #37 so you will find themes of not being saved or being defeated/destroyed.

One very compelling example of the consistent theme association with number 37 are the contents of the seven chapter thirty-sevens of the Bible. Each of these chapters speak of being saved, made perfect, lifted up or opposite themes such as being thrown down or not being saved. It seems no coincidence there happen to be seven chapter thirty-sevens:

Gen 37 -- Joseph thrown into a pit but is lifted out of it (saved)

Exo 37 -- Perfection of furniture in tabernacle - things of Pure Gold, made perfect, annointing oil....

Job 37 -- God comes down, we cannot comprehend a perfect God - the 13,777th Bible verse is Job 37:7 he seals the hand of every man....

Psa 37 -- The Lord will save his people - Psalm 37:37 says "Mark the blameless man" (saved)

Isa 37 -- God will save Jerusalem - the 733rd verse of Isaiah - Isa 37:35 'For I will defend this city to save it for My own sake and for My servant David's sake.' "

Jer 37 -- Jerusalem was saved when the siege was lifted and Jerimiah was also saved from death - Jer 37:21 King Zedekiah commanded - they commit1 Jeremiah to the court of the guardhouse and gave him a loaf of bread daily (interesting c37 x v21 = 777 and both numbers reflect 3 sevens).

Eze 37 -- The dry bones vision of Israel who will be saved - Eze 37:28 "And the nations will know that I am the LORD who sanctifies Israel, when My sanctuary is in their midst forever."

I know how impossible this all sounds but consider in the 777th Bible chapter Jerimiah 32:27 says "Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh; is anything too difficult for Me?", and the 37th verse of Luke (1:37) says "For nothing will be impossible with God.". Don't be surprised when you see that God has done the impossible - Like God, his numbers and the Bible's perfection are beyond our comprehension.

Are you suggesting that the chapters division and numbering are divinely inspired?

I believe it. I plan on using this forum to present evidence in support of that notion over the upcoming days and weeks. I also believe that that patterns of gematria in the Hebrew and Greek texts are also divinely inspired.

I would like to take a moment to write about what led to this discussion for me. Years ago I was made aware that there were possible number patterns related to the number 7 in the King James Bible. There is a video on youtube titled “King James Code Volume 7” on youtube that discusses this. Anyways, I spent this past June and July counting words in the King James Bible and I have pages of notes showing that there is indeed a pattern of 7 in the King James Bible. However; there were certain words that I thought would be a multiple of 7 and were not. Here are two examples that really caught my attention.

“ark of the Lord” = 37 times in the King James Bible

“ark of God” = 37 times in the King James Bible

It turns out that there seems to be a profound pattern of 37 in the King James Bible but at the time I really had no understanding of the significance of it. I ended up putting the idea on the shelf and didn’t think about it much after that. On October 2nd external events in the world that preceded this date brought this number back to my attention. I started doing research and stumbled upon the video on youtube title “Numeric Patterns of 37 and 73 in the Bible” that reinforced the importance of this number in the Bible to me. I will post what I know as time permits.

Sep 12, 2017 - Hurricane Irma was the longest-lasting powerful hurricane or typhoon ever recorded, worldwide. Irma sustained its 185-mph winds for 37 hours – "the longest any cyclone around the globe has maintained that intensity on record," according to Phil Klotzbach, a research scientist at Colorado State University.

Sep 7, 2017 - No other storm in recorded history has maintained top winds of 185 mph for 37 hours. You visited this page on 11/30/17.v (185 = 37 x 5)

Sep 7, 2017 - Hurricane Irma lashed the Caribbean on Wednesday, leaving behind a trail of devastation and casualties as the United Nations warned that as many as 37 million people could be affected by the hurricane. Newsweek

Trump approves greater FEMA aid for 37 Florida counties. President Donald Trump on Wednesday approved Orange, Seminole, Lake, Osceola, Brevard and Polk counties to receive individual assistance from the federal government.

I also found it interesting that Hurricane Irma made landfall roughly on September 11 2017 (in the USA) and September 11 began the 37th week of the year. It is the 254th day of the year which leaves 111 (37 x 3) days left in the year. This all seemed to be to much of a coincidence for me.

It really DOES lead me to wonder at how much influence Satan might have interjected into the translator's minds. I believe the originals were influenced by God, but there is nothing, anywhere, that states that the KJV translation came across "pure."

If you showed me those patterns in the originals, that would be a horse of a different color. But, we have way too much history about the dubious character of the man the translators were required to please when they presented him with the work he commissioned them to produce.

I think its interesting and I can't dismiss it. Better than liberal atheists making up personal stories, block text dream recounting, and anything political.

Feel free to present any evidence you have one way or the other. I recommended a video about the numbers in the Hebrew and Greek manuscripts....please feel free to share your opinion on the video if you like.

Do these correspondences occur in Greek and Hebrew manuscripts as well? I don't mean the exact ones as KJV, but in general does it occur?

I find that the Gematria of the name Jesus in the Greek and English very interesting.

Jesus in Greek = 888 = 37 x 24

Jesus in English gematria (the most common one I am aware of) = 444 = 37 x 12

Jesus in simple English = 74 = 37 x 2

Then why aren't you attempting to sell something like that, rather than trying to glorify a book devised at the order of a sexual deviant in the 1500's?

As far as the phrase counts go I do not know. Any knowledge I have concerning the Greek and Hebrew comes from the video I recommended. I found the gematria of Genesis 1:1 in the Hebrew very interesting.

Genesis 1:1 (Hebrew) = 2701 = 37 x 73

Why do you tell me what to do? Perhaps you can start a thread about something important to you and discuss it with other believers. If the numbers are insignificant to then state you peace and please move on. I have no interest in arguing with you!

Since you expect, smugly, others to lend credence to your posts, inquiries, superstition, numerology, extra-biblical revelations &c, return the same favor and answer the questions posed to you.

Fair enough?

Show the same respect you request, over and over to ad nauseam, that you want others to show you.

did you not like the 50 or 60 page thread you already have going in this same section of the forum with exactly the same purpose and included information anymore?
