Muslims do not believe in eternal life. So your basic premise is flawed.
The only thing the Muslims get right is the fact that they are the children of Abraham through Ishmael.....after that.....their view goes as south and as deep as hell is.........

If the Scriptures make the doctrine of OSAS clear, then the Scriptures were so poorly written that no one was able to understand even the doctrine of salvation for 1,500 years; and if that is true, the New Testament was so very poorly written that it cannot possibly be the inspired Word of God but is merely junk literature written by men with extremely poor writing skills. Furthermore, if the New Testament was so very poorly written and thus so very poorly understood, we have absolutely no assurance that anyone correctly understands any of it today. Therefore, we have absolutely nothing upon which to base our Christian faith but 27 books of poorly written junk literature!
The scripture is only clear to those who are actually Saved.

The Lord Jesus Christ taught OSAS. It is clear.

Paul taught OSAS. It is clear.

Augustine understood OSAS. When was he born?

I'd say OSAS was understood, by those who are Saved, right from the beginning.

You are quite right. For OSAS to be true only certain verses must be read and the rest of the Bible ignored. For this theology to be accepted common sense and simple English composition must be put aside and replaced with "Holy Spirit" esoteric knowledge. OSAS may be very appealing to this generation, helping many to sleep at night but the clear headed man knows better.

Their "unquestionable assurance" proves otherwise and trumps your "unquestionable assurance".

I can give you one word that shows once saved, always saved...

in:

G1722

ἐν
en
en
A primary preposition denoting (fixed) position (in place, time or state), and (by implication) instrumentality (medially or constructively), that is, a relation of rest (intermediate between G1519 and G1537); “in”, at, (up-) on, by, etc.: - about, after, against, + almost, X altogether, among, X as, at, before, between, (here-) by (+ all means), for (. . . sake of), + give self wholly to, (here-) in (-to, -wardly), X mightily, (because) of, (up-) on, [open-] ly, X outwardly, one, X quickly, X shortly, [speedi-] ly, X that, X there (-in, -on), through (-out), (un-) to(-ward), under, when, where (-with), while, with (-in). Often used in compounds, with substantially the same import; rarely with verbs of motion, and then not to indicate direction, except (elliptically) by a separate (and different) prep.

2 Timothy 1:9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,

This is sad, you should stop. If they had unquestionable assurance, they could not convince people to commit suicide so they could get an automatic in. You can only get people to do this when they have serious questions, and they feel they have to do this to make sure they get in,

Actually you are the ones who have to twist the word. We just take the word at its literal meaning. Eternal means eternal. Forever means forever. Assurance means assurance, Etc etc..

But you have made it known you think you can earn your way to heaven, Feel free. And good luck.

For me, eternity is to long for me to take it by change, I want to KNOW.

This is not true. The rest of the bible is read and interpreted through the truth of eternal security. That if believers do not follow Gods plan for their lives, there is divine discipline, misery, reaping what we sow, loss of reward and rendering our services to ashes. But the gift of eternal life stands.

Eternal security ignores the false interpretation of loss of salvation, working for salvation and maintaining salvation. Eternal security does not ignore the rest of the Bible.

The bible itself says that there is a vail over the hearts and minds of people who have yet to come to Christ.

1 Corinthians 1:26-31
26 For ye see in your calling, brethren, how not many wise men according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called.
27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise, and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;
28 and base things of the world and things which are despised hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things which are,
29 that no flesh should glory in His presence.
30 But because of Him are ye in Christ Jesus, who from God is made unto us wisdom and righteousness, and sanctification and redemption,
31 that according as it is written: “He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.”

Muslims have no less confidence of their having eternal life based upon their reading of the Qur’an than you do based upon your severe lack of understanding of the Bible.
Obviously, it's you who has a severe lack of understanding of the Bible. What understanding of 1 John 5:13 and I severely lacking? In 1 John 5:13 we read - These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God. Are you calling God a liar?

Can a Muslim know for sure he has eternal life? How can he? I know I do as a Christian precisely because eternal life is not based on the merits of my works. My assurance of salvation is found in Jesus Christ, which is not a misguided assurance based on works (or martyrdom), yet for the Islamic system of works that, at best, only provides the possibility of salvation if they have been sincere enough and if they have done enough good works.

Consider the following verses from the Qur'an in regards to salvation and works.

"Then those whose balance (of good deeds) is heavy, they will be successful. But those whose balance is light, will be those who have lost their souls; in hell will they abide," (23:102-103).

"And We set a just balance for the Day of Resurrection so that no soul is wronged in aught. Though it be of the weight of a grain of mustard seed, We bring it. And We suffice for reckoners," (21:47).

"They are those who deny the Signs of their Lord and the fact of their having to meet Him (in the Hereafter): vain will be their works, nor shall We, on the Day of Judgment, give them any weight," (online Qur'an, 18:105).

Does the Islamic system of salvation really provide assurance of salvation for Muslims? As a Christian, I don't see how anyone in Islam can have security and honest expectation of obtaining eternal life, but they may have misguided hopes.

Is it not audaciously and sinfully arrogant for anyone to think that they can understand the Greek New Testament Scriptures without being able to read them, but that no one could understand them until a renegade Roman Catholic politician came upon the scene with his cronies and “revealed” the true meaning of the Bible?
In 1 Corinthians 2:11-14, we read - 11 For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. 12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God. 13 These things we also speak, not in words which man's wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 14 But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

You should lay off the juice and to say Islam has assurance is ignorant.....there is no assursnce outside of Christ and I find your statement not only idiotic but completely contrary to scripture!

Muslims are taught that if they strap bombs to their body and murder unbelievers while committing suicide that they will go to heaven. Young men are further lured by promises of seventy two virgins which they will be able to perpetually ravage in "paradise." They are also told that if they kill others for the cause of the spread of Islam, that they can choose other family members who will be saved also, because none of them would have any assurance whatsoever aside from murdering for the same reasons. Some will deny that such a thing is in the Quran, but the Quran is not the only source required to understand and follow Islam; the Hadiths are also required, and are considered authoritative and binding.

Imām at-Termezī/Tirmidhī was a Persian Islamic scholar and collector of hadith who wrote al-Jami` as-Sahih (known as Jami` at-Tirmidhi), one of the six canonical hadith compilations in Sunni Islam.

According to al-Tirmidhi, a martyr has seven special favors from Allah. They are:

 • He [or she] is forgiven his sins with the first spurt of blood.
 • He sees his place in paradise; he is clothed with the garment of faith.
 • He is wed with seventy-two wives from the beautiful Maidens of paradise.
 • He is saved from the Punishment of the Grave.
 • He is protected from the Great Terror (Judgment Day).
 • On his head is placed a Crown of Dignity, better than any jewel.
 • The world and all it contains, and he is granted intercession.
 • And seventy people of his household will enter paradise.

I know...can you imagine any sane person believing this crap......much less one who supposedly names Christ saying they have more assurance than a believer in Christ......like I said....

Okay....what about the question?

How will you know "this time" is the "one time" and not just another "this time".

Oh, I understand the question quite well.

You are avoiding the answer.

Let me tell you this, if you do not know the one time then there is a problem

I think its pretty simple you don't understand the question.
