On our home page we're shown who the last ten people to visit the page are.

I was just there, and could figure out some were visiting as friends, (what's she up to or easy way to PM), some surely were out to figure out who I am, yet, some? I have no idea who they are and have yet to see them on this site. Got tempted to click their names to visit their home page too. And, truthfully, I was surprised when I saw one person hadn't recently visited, in which case, how did that person put me on ignore? There's another way to do that?

What do you think is happening when you see people visiting your home page? Or, for that matter, did you even know you could find out who last visited your home page? Come to think of it, do you even know what a home page is? lol

Am I the only one nosy enough to look occasionally?

Not sure why this isn't in the User2User Tech forum.
And if someone hasn't been on your page in a while, how did they put you on ignore? Easy. That last visit you are they put you on ignore then.
What do I think is happening? I think people want to know more about you when visiting your page. Or maybe someone is checking when the last time you were logged on.

I am aware of that homepage of which you speak, but I never checked mine. The reason I usually check other people's is to see what their recent posts were, and only when I am about to report a post. If I see a post I think needs to be reported I usually first check their recent Forum posts to see if they are indeed a troll or if they are just having a bad day.

LOL At least now I know why one person visited for certain. LOL

And those bears aren't gardening for me. The rabbit is bossy and no one want to get on her bad side. Tomato plants took over her carrot container, so that's everyone pitching in to make sure she gets carrots... because no one wants to get on her bad side. lol

They work for hotdogs and coffee. All the hotdogs and coffee they want. Then they expect us to pay them for every right Jeopardy or Wheel of Fortune answer they get, because "we have mouths to feed." They never seem to notice we're doing all the feeding.

(Waaaaaaaaay too much time writing teddy bear stories. lol)

I'm not sure why you think it needs to be in user2user, since I'm just asking if others wonder about why people are visiting their home page too. Also your easy answer on how people ignore others without going to the person's home page, may have been easy, but I didn't get what you were saying.

Interesting. I usually hit the "View Forum Posts" part to see if someone is a troll or someone leaked on their cereal. (lol Like the reference to another post? lol) Does that count as me landing on their home page? If so, I bet that explains a lot more than I knew when I asked this question.

Actually I have multiple reasons for going to a homepage...
1.see if someone is a troll or check their gender or age(I know the information is at the left hand side when they post but I like "being sure")
2.if it's a friend's homepage I usually use it to branch to where they posted last because typically on my own home page(since I have so many friends) I can't immediately see a friend's recent post.
3.occasionally I post visitor messages for a reason or no particular reason(post something silly) or just in response to a visitor message on my homepage(usually thanks messages for reps)

I visit home pages at random, usually when I’m trying to
click on a thread title or conversation, but accidentally hit the name instead.

Its happened so many times, you all probably think I’m spying on
you all. Lol.

I admit I check on threads and, occasionally, someone's profile ...

I feel like a creep, but it's just that I'm curious, a lot. That's exactly why I try not to check on more than two profiles and no more than three threads.
As other said here, I do it also for be sure if someone is a troll or not.
