So as I am sure many of you expected people are going around saying how the rapture is going to happen in December this year. Heck some even went so far as to claim it was God himself who was saying it through them this one guy today at the store came up to me and did this very thing.

How many times does it take for people to learn? I mean who knows when the rapture will happen but to say it's happening this december and putting out false hope and also fear is just... wow.

Some will be in raptures as they open their presents on the 25th :)

Or as they feast on roast turkey, mashed with gravy, savory
stuffing side dishes of veggies, and yummy desserts :)

I have been getting "Raptured" every single time I have looked at my soaring Stock values for more than a year.... steadily! It won't be long before I am twice as rich as I was when Donald took over the reigns of this country.

The chance of it happening this month is about as likely as meeting one of those Dinosaurs in Jurassic Park. I think they were called Rapters or was it Raptures?

The beauty about rapture dates and happenings is that those
promoting such end up with a best-selling book and the movie
rights.

That sounds like a pretty Godly thing to happen. I wonder what they are doing with all the money Christians shovel into their accounts.

What I don't understand is why so many people so easily fall for this and constantly follow the people promoting such things even after they are proven wrong. And why such promoting people are so highly popular on youtube and make lots of money selling books about it. I mean if I wanted to I could easily make a ton of money writing a book about such nonsense but I don't because it's wrong

It was written in the Bible that God will come like a thief in the night.
But I think I understand their anxiety about His return.
I mean, who isn't?

Just patience, He will come and soon (with "soon" I'm not trying to give a precise date nor a precise time!).

But anyway, Jesus also warned us about a war, before His coming. And it still didn't happen.

Read down three more verses....it is only like a thief for those who are in darkness.....If I had a dime for every time this quote was yanked out of context to prove the imminent return of Christ I would have several hundred more in my pocket...1st Thessalonians 5:1-4 read it!

Sorry :( I still have to find a Bible and in my language, so I can understand it better.
Thanks for the information.

One is interested in those who prophesy things that are false by their dreams and intuitions and is calling them out on it.

Quite interesting...

No, I buy stocks for growth...... not to ride waves. Even if I lost three quarters of the growth I have seen this year, I would still have made more than I have in the past five years, or so......... AND lived off dividends the whole time.

The likelihood that the rapture happens this year, is the same likelihood that Michael Jackson, Elvis and Tupac will return from faking their deaths. It ain't gonna happen. lol

ya the word soon is one I always hated hearing when I was told the rapture would happen soon, the word soon because his timing is not like ours could mean tomorrow or a hundred years from now

it was a lady i have never seen before i only know about it because a friend of mine who is very into the whole rapture hype showed it to me. I have tried to reason with my friend but she isn't one who listens very well.

I am not against the rapture I would love for it to happen but I was once very much like these people who blindly follow such people so I understand their mentality. For a lot of people like this it's kind of like a spiritual high, they thrive on the hope and excitement of the rapture happening and continue to look up watch and follow people who spew such things and if you notice these youtubers they love to follow and watch always have thousands of subscribers. The issue is that I am worried about these people because they are like sheep following a blind shepherd they are so into the rapture happening and so into the hype that they forget to have discernment and reasoning
