clever Cee, and very deceitful, to say the least...
you obviously have been 'brain-washed' or at the very least a demonic-minion,..
attempting to 'change' the Holy Words of Yeshua...

good luck with that, you will 'reap' what you sow...

Doesn't matter if it was a special case, it still proved you wrong.
So? That has nothing to do with what you're talking about. Stay on topic.
lol. Whatever. You did not prove me wrong. Because in the OT the HS was only given in specific situations, John the Baptist was a specific situation.

Haa-haa. You're so far out in left field you fell over the fence. Show me the scriptures & redeem yourself, if you can.
God gave every man the measure of faith, so faith was a gift given to all mankind that we could repent & believe in Christ. God gave it, but we had to use it. So repentance & believing are man's actions, thus works.
Commitment to God is a lifelong process, thus good fruit.
God didn't say the trinity is true either, but it is.:)
lol. Go ahead and think Faith is YOUR WORK, think repentance is YOUR WORK. Boast of yourself. And keep trying to earn your salvation.

If we are the branch, and Jesus is the vine, and fruit is what is produced. What else could it be? How does me doing something for SELF resemble fruit? Fruit does not benefit the vine, it benefits those who partake from the vine,

It is a picture of God working through us to serve others..

The trinity can be proven, Fruit being something which benefits ourself can not.

Wow.

Are you serious right now?

Look it up yourself.

I am simply quoting a different Bible translation that happens to disagree with your Scriptural interpretation.

I actually looked it up in the ESV simply because I found your point of view intriguing.

And you call me deceiving?

I forgive you buddy.

Have a blessed New Year.

===============================================

ISA. 63:11.
Then He remembered the days of old, Moses, and His people, saying, Where is He
that brought them up out of the sea with the shepherd of His flock? where is He
that put His Holy Spirit within him?

one cannot inherit The Kingdom of God without The Holy Spirit, it is our guarantee...

eg,

do you not accept this Scripture? or are you just bent on having it your own way?
don't you remember Abraham? do you really think that David could Love and Adore,
and Serve His Holy Master without The Holy Spirit dwelling inside of him?!?!, etc.???

no one is truly going to 'believe God' and act upon their belief, walk in The Light, unless they have
received The Holy Spirit...all we have to do is just look at the world and what is going
on with most of it's people yesterday and today...

it's a no brainer that Jesus imparted God's Holy Spirit to those whom He called out and choose,
no human could ever perform the acts that they did without being sealed...
The HS was not given to AL people until the day of Pentecost.

Do you not accept that SPIRITUAL TRUTH?

The passage you used, The word within means in their midst. Who did all the miracles when Moses led them out. What’s it not Moses. Was it nbot by the power of the HS. That is what was spoken about.

Most who left Egypt rebelled continually. So much in fact God denied them entry into the promised land.. You think they all had the HS?? Wow

Isaiah 63:11 in the ESV is translated thus:

Then he remembered the days of old,
of Moses and his people.[d]
Where is he who brought them up out of the sea
with the shepherds of his flock?
Where is he who put in the midst of them
his Holy Spirit,
Thank you,. That is what it actually says.

I will be honest I do into know what your trying to say, All I can say is if your equating Saul losing the HS to a NT believer losing salvation, I disagree

do you think Saul is in paradise or hades?
That is an intriguing question. Even given that the Holy Spirit was given in the OT, did King Saul fall away (skandalisthesontai) or fall away (parapesontas), or fall away (apostesontai)?

Not sure, I wonder Is king saw saved? Did God give up on him and let him fall?

According to the law. Saul is as guilty as you and I. I am no more worthy of Gods love than he was. No one is.. Thats why we all need christ.

The passage you are alluding to, and frankly misusing, is contextually written only to believers, not the world at large. Context. Romans 12:3. Sorry, but you're incorrect here so neither Scripture nor its context support you. Huge mistake on your part.

Both faith and repentance are given by God, faith is not inherent, and he gifts both faith and repentance to those He saves. So you're incorrect about these as well.
Ok, so if that's incorrect, how does a sinner end up with faith to believe?

Don't leave me hanging with a "that's wrong", tell me where scripture says sinners have faith before they're saved, 'cause we couldn't possibly get saved without faith in the first place.
Thank you in advance.:)

How about the most righteous people on earth (concerning the law) can not make it, So why do you think you can?

I am honestly not sure what self righteousness has anything to do with what Jesus said, her did not say self righteousness, so I would be wary of trying to add to what he said.
try looking at 2 Cor 5:21, Romans 5:17, Philippians 3:9-11 and Gal 2:20-21.

If you have been reading, those passages say exactly what I have been saying, Since we can not live up to the law. We need the righteousness of God.

I'm not 100 percent sure either, except for the vision I received when I was younger of a face, among others, whom of which wore a conspicuous Hebrew crown. Even more conspicuous was the toothy smile on his face...and I did wonder at whether that is Saul that I saw... and if right, I now realize why the huge smile! :D

The story can also be found in Numbers 11, Isa 63:11 is recounting when God put some of the Spirit from Moses UPON not WITHIN the 70 elders and it was temporary for the elders.

I could repent & commit myself to Christ because God gave me the faith to do so. God gave me the faith to do so through His Grace. That's how I'm saved by grace through faith, and not all by myself, it's a gift from God.

Good fruit is NEVER just for self, & I never said it was.

Good fruit is what God expects.

John 15:1
“I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. 2“Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit, He prunes it so that it may bear more fruit. 3“You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. 4“Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me. 5“I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing. 6“If anyone does not abide in Me, he is thrown away as a branch and dries up; and they gather them, and cast them into the fire and they are burned.
7“If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. 8My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples.

Matt 5:14 “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; 15nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. 16Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.

Thanks, you just proved why it is not fruit.

Yep. he expects good fruit. He expects us to serve and love others. So we can rep the fruit of our labors.

I hae never said otherwise.
