 How can I rest in his faith, it is his faith, not mine. I am not him,

I can rest in his
faith by faith in him, But I am not him,
Fixed that for you because that is what you're really saying. Not that you'll ever agree when shown something like this. :)

Think People. If jesus faith was IMPUTED to me, I would

1. Be perfect
2. never sin again
3. Never lack faith (because I now have his faith which was proven to be perfect)
4. Would not need to grow.
5. Would not need to learn to trust the father, I have Jesus faith, which means I trust God as much as he does.

again, THINK.

The word faith to trust, to have an assurance.

Jesus faith means that jesus trusts or has an assurance in someone. Who is jesus trusting? Me?

it makes no sense to say we have jesus faith.

What is important, is what is our faith or trust in.

is it in jesus?

or is it in self.

Jesus had faith in His Father and was obedient unto His Father. If Christ's faith waivered at any time, He would not have been the spotless sacrifice for us. The faith of Jesus Christ was unblemished, impeccable, and without blame. Christ's faith was on display for all to see. What a Saviour!

If prompted now to lay hands on one, I seriously doubt the accuser can accuse of not having enough faith to heal. Or to stir up the gifts in another. Whatever He leads to do. He will do it.

Awesome huh? But, I don't think you mean it this way.

We are always in Him. The perfect one!

This makes no sense.

The word belief in your sentence (biblically) is the word faith.

ie, when one hears the gospel and has faith, Then he is justified.

Jesus faith in the father up to and through the cross is what allows us to be saved.
Romans 3:22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:

Acts 16:31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

Romans 3:26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.

Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Many, many more...We are to believe the gospel of Jesus Christ to be saved.

Yep it was.

THIS IS WHAT MY FAITH IS IN, HIS WORK. NOT MY OWN WORK.

If I had this faith, all I said would be true, I would be perfect. Like he was.
Am I perfect? No. Why? I do nto have Jesus faith. it was not imputed to me

Yes I do mean it this way,

What was imputed to abraham? That is what is imputed to me,

It was not Jesus faith, it is his righteousness.

if his faith was imputed to me, I would be perfect. I am not perfect. why? I do not have his faith. I HAVE TO RELY ON HIS WORK,

Acts 3:16, another "3:16" to remember. :)

It shows, for those who care, that faith comes from (dia, διά) Christ, not self. It is easy to derive from this it is his faith as well. He had faith in his Father, in his humanity while here on earth so it is not incorrect to say it is his faith, imho.

We all have obtained faith, it is not inherent; 2 Peter 2:1; Ephesians 1:19. People who are saying faith isn't a gift from God, while preaching at the same time it is of and from Christ?

Well, just think about that for a minute.

If ("since" really) it came from Christ, it didn't come from you, and thus it is a gift of God granted us; Philippians 1:29.

Not sure why so many fight against this truth, then preach all of salvation is from God, "...except for that part, I did that, and, oh yeah, I did that part too." lolzzzz...

We don't work to get faith either. It's given, a gift. I can see how it will grow into the magnificent tree of life now. The results of His faith in earth!

Dont separate yourself from Him EG. One.

Pin, I hope you are reading this. Lol

Romans 3
[SUP]21 [/SUP]But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
[SUP]22 [/SUP]Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:

The righteousness of God came through the faith of Jesus Christ. The righteousness of God was on display through the faith of Jesus Christ, His testimony. I now have His testimony upon me. It declares that I am righteous!

Am I righteous here on earth? Spiritually? Yes.

Again, I am done with this nonsense. Believe what you want.

This is it

Rom 3 (nkjv)
But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, 22 even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference; It is the RIGHTEOUSNESS of GOD which is given THROUGH FAITH IN JESUS to ALL AND ON ALL WHO BELIEVE.

Not FAITH OF JESUS.

faith is a gift in itself

i can agree on that much

the main thing worries me about you john

is earlier it seemed to me like you were saying your works are part of what save you (or keep you saved)

did i misread your posts?

yes, Because God did all the work. Otherwise we would have to have faith in self. And work very hard to live up to Gods standard.

If I am drowning, I have to trust myself to save myself. Or if someone comes to save me, I have to let go of self. And trust in him to do the work to save me.

His rescuing me is a gift. But I have to trust him, if I do not and continue to try to save myself, I will die.

maybe i confused john with chester

i missed most the posts today

is john saying that someones works

keep
or
provide

salvation?

i wouldnt argue that Jesus perfect faith is part of the righteousness that will be imputed to those who believe on Him

but that is kind of a non issue if you are trusting in Him and are born again

right?

im not trusting in my faith to save me like i earned salvation through my faith

im trusting that Jesus will impute HIS righteousness to me on judgement day

When you trust god, That is your faith. What you have decided to do is trust God to do all th work for you. Thatswhy you get no credit, God gets all the credit,

Actually Perfect faith doesn't equal perfect person, all perfect faith or wholly trusting Jesus means is that you would do all you could for God/Jesus knowing that he blesses while you stay strong in faith for him,it doesn't change that we aren't perfect due to sin, because even David a man after God's heart had perfect faith but yet he was susceptible to sin.

I see it differently bro.

If I had perfect faith in God, I would never falter and trust in self. Thus I would never sin.

jesus did not sin, because he had perfect faith in the father
