Yes, but the statement in James is a fact. The judge is standing at the door. His return is near not nearer.

Paul says Jesus is seated at the right hand of the Father.
No one denies the judge is at the door.....the difference is simple...those in Christ by faith are not CONDEMNED BY THE JUDGE, but rather rewarded (misthos ->pay or wages for service rendered) by the judge at the BEMA seat of Christ......those NOT IN CHRIST BY FAITH are condemend as guilty and cast from his presence at the Great White throne judgement of the lost......JAMES IS NOT ABOUT FAITH PLUS WORKS justifying a man before God....it is about a claim of faith being able to be seen by Men based upon said works which are a direct result of the SALVATION AND BORN AGAIN STATE one possesses in Christ by faith already!

Paul wrote to the church, the body of Christ and would not be applicable to those outside the body. James' doctrine is not applicable to me. I do not need my soul saved.

The rich are condemned in James epistle. That's not church doctrine. Paul told the rich to be ready to distribute and be a blessing to others.
Is this doctrine for the body of Christ today? Really?

14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:
15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

Also...

17 Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months.
aka tribulation
18 And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.

Why Elias? Because he will be there in the trib preaching the coming of the King proving himself through miracles.

Revelation 11:6 These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.
James wrote to the 12 tribes scattered abroad.........Paul addressed churches........

So, you are untrustworthy in Christ? And that is O.K to remain that way - in Christ? when you ask, "..or is it in self." Who is self in Christ? Your own identity or Christ's? If you have faith in Jesus He will produce His fruit in you! Not from working for it, but in being obligated in love and dead to the right to yourself as He is faithful to you in your faithfulness to Him..

Satan loves the game of semantics doesn't he?
I have no idea what your talking about.

On the contrary, Ephesians 2:8 that you underlined and bolded, says that we are saved "by grace through faith". It does not say we are saved by faith alone.

I counter contrary with counter contrary.

Saved by faith as a result of the grace of God and not of works.

We are saved as a result of the grace of God which leads to faith which leads to the works prepared for us before we walk in them.
We cannot reverse it.

power?? Tell us about this "power" that your faith only theology has over any other gospel. We are all in the same boat, each of us searching for the truth. Some more then others but searching nevertheless. The Pharisees were pushing garbage, as are the followers of faith alone regeneration theology. A different type of garbage but still garbage.
When I see the blood I will pass over you <--applied by faith Pelican....maybe your god is weak and ineffectual...Mine is of power and keeps his word and saves by faith......
