Personally, everything I've seen referenced in the "use" of crystals has been tied to the New Age movement. I have yet to see a single person use them in any other manner.
I had a friend who was deeply into new age. She tried arguing that using crystals to heal was biblical. But she had to stretch, bend and twist the bible, and her mind, for it to even seem possibly true.
And since New Age is a somewhat all encompassing belief system people are free to, basically, create their own, subjective, mini-religion. One common theme amongst New Age is the use of crystals.
I know of no strictly medical based uses for crystals.
The basic premise is that these crystals draw out negative energy, and with negative energy out healing can happen.
All of this revolves around a belief that there is no single deity that is capable of relationship. But rather God is the universe and what we send out, we get back. Their god is essentially a santa figure.
Because "everything is god" this includes nature. And since crystals are rare and pretty, they make the perfect source for being "special".
My friend tried to get me to buy into her beliefs and attempt some of this and I refused.

However, crystals is as natural as other minerals, which taken orally, can heal a person. These minerals are called medicines. Crystal Therapy is also seen as an alternative healing technique, similar to acupuncture and message therapy. Laying on of hands for healing is also similar. It is about using natural resources to aid in healing. That is what this sub-forum (Natural health) is about.

What I am say is that certain uses of God's natural elements, such as crystals, often contribute to a persons healing. Unfortunately, many practitioners, like our own early and historical experiments in medicine was quite often a hit or miss experience. So too are the many alternative therapeutic techniques used today. Even medicines have to go on trial runs before approval. Most crystal therapists know what certain things work for certain situations, but cannot yet explain the exact reasons. There is still much the medical practitioner, and research medical scientists don't know. They are still classed as miracles. Even Jesus used saliva and an earth to make mud as a means for aiding the healing process. Can medical science explain that? No, it can't, not yet anyway.
Much has to do with faith, and faith is important in the medical field too. It is a strange phenomenon, and we humans are capable of using faith in God for healing. Or even the so-called lack of faith can stop healing (which is faith that it won't work).
If a person believes that a medicine (even a placebo) will work, it will.
There are doctors, and patients, that believe it was the doctor that healed them. No, that is not true! All the doctor can do is provide assistance to the body. It is the body which goes through the healing process, not the doctor. The body is under control to the person's mind, and the mind is also connected to the soul. Whatever collaboration is happening between mind and soul governs the healing processes. But can medical science prove that one. No, it cannot as of yet, for the medical authorities still won't rely on God.
Used in the correct way, both scientifically and spiritually (via guidance by the Holy Spirit), and in collaboration between patient and God, crystals therapy, and other alternative therapies, can be used as a tool for healing.

Crystal therapy works. It has a new age connotation, but as a Christian you just ignore that and use them purely for healing purposes. Some Christians seem to forget God made the crystals. Last I looked, in the bible it said what He made was "good".

i have had them (unscientifically, but relatively accurately) tested. They work beyond what some conventional crystals do.
They are not cheap, but then again, some crystals can be expensive to. Still again, there is a difference between expensive, cheap and VALUE.

So everything is not yet quantifiable or understood by science. Not at this time. That does not mean they are not viable forms of energy and healing.
An example. I know some clinical people who say I am crazy to give Van Liew's energy mugs a second thought. I did my little experiments with them though.
My friend has been allergic to lemons since he could recall. I had him put the lemon in the energy mug for 5 minutes. Then he had a little; no reaction. Then he had a little more. No reaction. He repeated the cycle a couple of more times, finishing the whole lemon, and no reaction. He could not believe it, and I can't fully prove how I think it works, but now he can rat lemons.
Another example. I used sandpaper to give myself a open wound, not to deep, on my left hand. I let it heal on its own. I kept a log of what and when I ate the days it was healing, and how much I slept. I waited about a month after it healed and then did the same thing with the sandpaper on my right hand, on the same spot I did on my left hand, the same depth, width and length. Same diet, same hours of sleep. Roughly the same schedule and physical exertion during the days it was healing as before.
I put my hand in and around the energy mug while it was healing as much as possible. When sleeping and eating and using the lap top.
My right hand healed about 35% to 40% sooner !

Salt, sugar and ice are crystals. Graphite in pencils is crystal made from carbon. All the electronic and mechanical technologies we have work because of crystal properties. Crystals are cut into gemstones and used for jewelry. Certain watches keep time more accurately thru the energy from crystals. Crystals are no more evil than any other solid (or liquid) material we all utilize every day.
There is another thread about 'grounding'. I have a large Black tourmaline which I used to hold whenever I got overly agitated. After a while I found myself settled down. It was explained to me that this particular gemstone was capable of absorbing higher brainwave frequencies that are commonly present when someone is agitated or overly alert. This type of effect, on human consciousness is also called 'grounding'.
Really? Interesting how several of you are justifying this repackaged Eastern Mysticism, New Age thought, idolatry, sorcery.

That is what people of the world ,and the occult do is think there is power through physical objects such as crystals,but to a Christian all power comes from the Spirit.
When Jesus healed He did not use crystals or any physical objects,neither did He send vibes,or energy to emit from His body to heal people,for He is God manifest in the flesh whose Spirit is omnipresent,so when Jesus healed it was the Spirit outside His body that healed in accordance to Jesus as God,and as the man Christ Jesus doing the will of God.
Also the occult would be involved,and interested in thinking about numerology of the Bible,and trying to find hidden wisdom that is not there,for it is already plainly written for us to read and be known to us in the right context by the Spirit.

So as time goes by many people will view the Bible that way,and many of the faith will be turned unto the new age movement,and they will be involved in crystals,stones,physical objects,thinking they can obtain a benefit from them by nature,and numerology thinking they can find hidden wisdom in the Bible,and there are many paths to the same destination of evolution through nature,and believe mind creates reality more real than the world of sense,so if they can think it,it is reality,and possible.
