False, false and that would be a false........Salvation is secure in Christ...your Jesus must be weak, ineffectual and unable to keep his word.....
Dear brother dcontroversal,

I see much I admire in your approach.
Only you know your heart. I am just quoting scripture. But I now see the key
of Jesus's and the apostles preaching. It is actually simple, unless ones emotions,
aspirations, hurts, tumult, loyalties within are resolved and love reigns supreme,
everything else gets blinded.

One cannot get too close to anyone, because something will appear and destroy the
very thing one desires to have. I know how this works, because I too suffered from this.

The Kingdom of God is founded upon the purity within and the power of the blood to bring
this about.

"Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth."
Psalm 46:10

"Then a great and powerful wind tore the mountains apart and shattered the rocks before the LORD, but the LORD was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the LORD was not in the earthquake.
After the earthquake came a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire. And after the fire came a gentle whisper."
1 Kings 19:12-13

We are the people of the gentle whisper.

Instead, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight.
1 Peter 3:4

Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.
Ephesians 4:2

For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life.
1 Thessalonians 4:7

Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus:
Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped,
but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness.
And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death--even death on a cross!
Philippians 2:5-8

Thankyou Lord for your revelation of purity, gentleness, cleansing, the making us into the
children of Your Father, out of our fallen and lost selves. May these words I share speak
to the hearts of your people, to bring them into the fullness of your promise,
In Jesus Christ's Name, Amen

Salvation - repentance, faith, works - founded on purity

Lose any part of the three and ones salvation goes.

Repentance - to abide in wilfull rebellion and sin. Heb 10:26-27
faith - to cease to trust God saves you and the cross forgives you. Hebrews 11:6
works - cease to exercise love flowing through ones life. James 2:26

Repentance
If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left,
but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God. Heb 10:26-27
Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? ......you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God. 1 Corinthians 6:9-11

Faith
And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. Heb 11:6
We have come to share in Christ if we hold firmly till the end the confidence we had at first. Heb 3:14

Works
As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead James 2:26
Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult, but with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing. 1 Peter 3:9

Eternity is pure, without sin, holy, without blemish. What we call blemish and what God calls
blemish is different. We pick at the smallest details, the right way to be polite or show someone
we are together, or not be condemning, or not appreciating enough, or upsetting someone by
being too firm and not recognise our sinful allegiance to wealth, power, sexual desire, selfish
indulgences, holidays we just cannot go without, recognition of our achievements, what we
deserve.

We are happy to be violent within, a raging inferno, lusting after any opportunity that comes along,
wanting that bigger house, car, position, yet outside we want to be seen as being religious, following
Jesus, getting close to others and helping them, in their poor state of spiritual distress.

Little wonder purity is rejected or intimacy and closeness, it would result in a explosion with many injuries.

But this is what Jesus saw in the pharisees. He saw much that was good, but without taming the heart
and being gentle within, there is no real hope of showing true love without.
Willful sin like not adhering to rules of a forum?

Even your not adhering to rules is enough for the Lord to reject you. He's more merciful than you know.

thats all ive seen from him thus far

there were some pretty good points made he may be the same person who ran the "peter jens" account
As with Peter and all the rest of them, They are relying on self help. and their own power to do the works, and not relying on the power of God.

Scripture makes it clear. He (God) HAS PERFECTED FOREVER, those who are BEING (a process which is ongoing) SANCTIFIED.

they reject this, thats why they reject God.

they also reject pauls words when he makes it clear. it is NOT by our works of righteousness (good deeds) we have done, but by HIS MERCY, he saved us.

There you have it folks. The blueprint for a works based, self righteous gospel which Denys the grace of God.
Dear brother eternally-gratefull,

Thankyou for your sharing. The problem is my sharing is founded on Gods word and His revelation.

The problem is this kind of dismissal of Gods heart and words hardens the soul until nothing
can get through. We are all only sinners saved by grace, in a world without communion with God
or one another.

Can I speak with authority? Is my view worthy of respect?
If it is Gods authority and His heart, yes, but if it is my own no.

By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain.
1 Cor 15:2

A simple sentence, Paul preaching.
Pauls gospel that he is preaching has saved them,
if they hold firmly to it, ie do not lose faith.
Otherwise, you have believed in vain - lose faith, it is of no use, no longer saved.

We have come to share in Christ if we hold firmly till the end the confidence we had at first.
Heb 3:14

Sharing in Christ, Amen, but only if we hold it to the end.
So we are not if Christ is we let go.

I charge you to keep this command without spot or blame until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ,
1 Tim 6:14

Paul exhorts Timothy to continue until Christ appears, implying it fails if it is corrupted.

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
gal 6:9

We will reap the harvest, salvation, if we do not give up.

There is a double edged sword here.
If a believer has never obtained purity or cleansing or even started on such a thing,
there is nothing to maintain or keep, so ofcourse these verses seem without meaning
or importance.

Grace and Peace to you in Christ Jesus

Hey man, You want to try to earn salvation, that is your choice. You want to stand in front of God, when he takes out the books, and looks at your life and sees if you met his standard, Feel free (I am here to tell you, as the bible tells you, You will fall short rom 3) You want to place your eternity in your hands, and take it out of Gods hands, again that is up to you. you are free to do whatever your heart desires.

You want to look at God and tell him all the wonderful works you did and how you obeyed his commands, and made a life of serving him, and HOPE this gets God to change his mind and let you into heaven, again, that is up to you (God said he will tell you he never knew you if you try this)

As for me, I will trust God.

not by works, Not by my own power. Not by trying my hardest to serve god (I will still fail, because I do not have it in me)

But By Gods promise.

He justified me freely by faith (Rom 3,4,5,8, 1 cor 6)
He redeemed me and purchased me with his sons blood (Gal3, 1 Pet 1, Rev 5)
He adopted me into his family and gave me an inheritance which will never fade away (Eph 1)
He gave me the right to become a child of God (john 1)
He saved me (rom 5, 8, 10, 1 Cor 1, Eph 2, 2 tim 1, titus 3)
He said he will never leave nor forsake me (heb 13)
He promised me he would resurrect me and bring me home to him (john 6)
He promised me I would never hunger or thirst, Never die, Live forever, and have eternal life (john 6)

I suggest you look to these and ALL of Gods promises (there are many more) and rely on God, look to him, obey the gospel. and stop trying to earn your salvation.

Yep, Can I call you Peter? You sound just like him.

A believer is cleansed by God, he can not cleanse himself. A believer is made pure. He can not purify himself (except by the gospel)

As jesus said, You are completely clean by the word which I have spoken (through faith) but you need to wash your feet from time to time.

We do not need to keep cleaning ourselves to make it to heaven, be must be washed so we can be lights to the world.

Hey man, You want to try to earn salvation
Dear brother in Christ,

I do not know you, but I will share my heart.
Salvation has never been my goal.

Communion with Jesus, knowing His heart as expressed through His words and the Holy Spirit has been.
The world is full of broken people, lost in sin, unable to function, not knowing where to go.

Jesus is the light in the darkness, but which words and realities constrain the realities He
expresses, realities life testify to and moves of God in church history.

My desire is to minister the love and freedom Christ has given me within and see Gods
anointing in peoples lives and them being set free.

Purity of heart is everything, because it is in our hearts that God wants the Kingdom of
heaven to reign, and from there every other blessing flows.

Now the impure will never see this, and impure things and their support for them will abound.

As we are speaking two different perspectives and languages, that is just what it is.
I wish blessing on your life, that love and purity might be something you know and grow in,

Grace and peace in Christ Jesus our Lord, Amen.

There is only 1 way to have communion with Christ, and that is to as the old song goes. be washed in the blood. be redeemed by his life and death and resurrection, Be justified by his grace and be born into his family

U can not have communication with Christ apart from salvation.

True, But you can not purify yourself. and you will never be able to. Only God can purify you.

All things are impure unless God makes them pure. Has God made you pure? Why are you trying to make yourself Pure?

So yes there are pure people, holy people, people who I cannot really compare myself with.
All I can say is God, in His grace is working on me, and teaching me how to live a Holy life.

What some miss is that the tumult in their hearts, the emotions that run riot is testimony of
where the gospel and Holy Spirit need to minister. Until this is worked through, it is all window
dressing and a circus performance. Trouble is Gods grace has limits, and the time of putting
His word into action does come to an end.

By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain. 1 Cor 15:2
1 Corinthians 15:1,2 - Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you--unless you believed in vain. To believe in vain is to believe without cause or without effect, to no purpose. If, as some are saying in Corinth, there is no resurrection, then faith is vain and worthless (vs. 14). The people who fail to hold fast to the word (the gospel) that Paul preached in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, demonstrated that they "believed in vain" (did not truly believe).

We have come to share in Christ if we hold firmly till the end the confidence we had at first. Heb 3:14
Hebrews 3:14 - For we have become [past tense Gk. verb, gegonamen, meaning we have become already] partakers of Christ, if we hold fast the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end. Notice that this is essentially a repeat of verse 6, where we have read: but Christ was faithful as a Son over His house - whose house we are, if we hold fast our confidence and the boast of our hope firm until the end. The wording is not - "and you will be saved (future indicative) if you (future indicative) persevere." It is rather - "you have been, and now are, really saved, (demonstrative evidence) if in the future you hold fast to Christ."

The point is that not all of these Hebrews have become partakers in their promised Messiah. And of course, the only ones in the end who will be identified as truly born again Hebrews who have partaken in Messiah, will have been those who have held fast the beginning of their confidence steadfast to the end. Those faltering Hebrews who depart from God begin with loud confidence and profession of loyalty. But later? Future perseverance is proof of genuine conversion.

In Hebrews 4:1-2, we read - "For indeed the gospel was preached to US as well as to THEM; but the word which THEY heard did not profit THEM, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it. For we who have believed do enter that rest, as He has said: "So I swore in My wrath, 'They shall not enter My rest," although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. Obviously, not all of these Hebrews were believers. Notice that verses 2-3 make a distinction between US who have BELIEVED and do enter that rest and THEM who heard the word but did not mix faith with what they heard and will not enter that rest because of UNBELIEF.

My friend, I do not know you. You want me to talk in your way in your terms.

There is much I have missed in Jesus and Pauls sharing.

Gentleness, do you know this? If not, why not?
Humbleness, do you know this?

Some mock a statement of faith, or joy at something God has done in ones life.
When I was a kid, I was very weak inside and alone. God and Jesus have built in
me great joy and praise to His name, knowing what it is to love and receive love.

It may for some seem something trivial and just part of life. For one such as me,
it is something totally new, a dream world that you hope exists somewhere, but now
in Jesus He has made it real.

And my sharing of such a thing, at one time, would have caused me to shake uncontrollably
because of the fear of rejection and being mocked. But not now in Christ Jesus.

In His cross, He showed His love, to those who will grow to love Him and those who will
hate Him. And that hatred will be very real and deadly, but in the end empty and lost.

So my friend, and I would hope, brother in Christ, we share very different realities from
different worlds almost.

Grace and Peace to you in Christ Jesus, Amen.

Cleansing

When believers use the words about "maintaining" something as if it is a curse, they condemn themselves
as whitewashed tombs, with just dead bones inside.

Ofcourse if one is full of death, sin and destruction, cleansing means nothing, there is no prick of
conscience or telling that something that was done and said needs to be undone and unsaid.

Have you ever gone into a house of someone who has given up on life?
Dirt, dust, filth lie everywhere, and no effort is made to sort anything out.

Do you think anyone who scorns maintaining ones walk with Jesus, knows Jesus at all?
