Stay in a bad marriage for the sole reason because God said to
Fail.

Unbelievers can stay in bad marriages. So, your example is pointless.

I said name some good works a Christian can do that and unbeliever can't.

Even though Christians can do things unbelievers can't
Again, you didn't name any. And if you try, keep Matthew 7:22 in mind.

Works of righteousness really do distinguish the believer from the unbeliever.
And yet, once again, unbelievers can do the same works and even more. And YOU would be totally fooled because you judge the outward appearance.

I'll ask you this again, because you called me an unbeliever the last time, but you never answered the question:

If I gave one dollar to the Salvation Army at Christmas time, and the next year I gave two dollars, and the year after that I gave three dollars - always increasing by one dollar, would that not be a progression in good works? Would that be enough to satisfy those work requirements of yours, Ralph?

If not, how many good works do you need to see before you judge one a believer, Ralph?

Because you are sure good at judging us as unbelievers.

When you get down to it, people like you simply want some of the glory due God. You want to be praised and exalted for your wonderful works - for your "holy living". You yearn for the praise of men.

You, and those like you, are completely Pharisaical.

For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life.
1 Thessalonians 4:7

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.
matt 5:8

Set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.

1 Timothy 4:12

Treat younger men as brothers, older women as mothers, and younger women as sisters, with absolute purity.
1 Timothy 5:1-2

To those who reject purity, you reject the gospel and claim being impure is acceptable to God.

For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person--such a man is an idolater--has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.
Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God's wrath comes on those who are disobedient.
Therefore do not be partners with them.
Ephesians 5:5-7

The testimony of scripture testifies against those who deceive with compromise about purity.
These are not my ideas, but Gods revelation.

what does this have to do with salvation? With eternal life? With getting to heaven?

John 6

26 Jesus answered them and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw the miracles, but because ye did eat of the loaves, and were filled.

27 Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed.

28 Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?

29 Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.

30 They said therefore unto him, What sign shewest thou then, that we may see, and believe thee? what dost thou work?

31 Our fathers did eat manna in the desert; as it is written, He gave them bread from heaven to eat.

32 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven.

33 For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world.

34 Then said they unto him, Lord, evermore give us this bread.

35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.

36 But I said unto you, That ye also have seen me, and believe not.

37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.

38 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.

39 And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.

40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

Some seem to mistake the objective of participating in forums with domination of one point
of view.

We all bring our own experiences and perspectives, and given our backgrounds some might
find this hard to take.

I love to here from the Lord through other peoples inspiration and testimony, which is why
forums are such a blessing,

grace and Peace to you

im only bringing scripture

my "point of view" has always been subject to change based on Gods inspired written word

those beliefs that are obvious lies

are cursed and those who push them are to be as well

those who God has revealed the truth too here
only wish to correct those who are trying to spread a false gospel

all different members of the body wish to shine light on these who are currently functioning as wolves in order they be born again as sheep

some with a gentle hand to try to guide

other with a forceful arm wishing to yank them from the broad path

its a shame some have eyes that dont see
and ears that dont hear

because the truth lies in Jesus finished work on the cross

by His grace through faith we can be saved

and it is not of our works

those who are His
remain His

6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:

7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.

8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

Who wept for Jesus?
The women.

Near the cross of Jesus stood his mother, his mother's sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene.
When Jesus saw his mother there, and the disciple whom he loved standing nearby, he said to his mother, "Dear woman, here is your son,"
and to the disciple, "Here is your mother." From that time on, this disciple took her into his home.
John 19:26-28

Jesus was buried by strangers, not even His disciples

Later, Joseph of Arimathea asked Pilate for the body of Jesus ....
He was accompanied by Nicodemus, the man who earlier had visited Jesus at night
John 19:39-40

It strikes me some think Jesus dying upon the cross for our sin, was something the Father caused Him to do
and was not a choice.
So it struck me, no one would weep if some people laid down their lives, so probably they would never
do it in the first place because touching other people in their hearts is not something they know anything
about.

But this is the spiritual reality of the cross, He speaks to our hearts and empowers us through the
love He plants in a purified heart to speak to others.

Grace and Peace to you in Christ Jesus, Amen

Our confidence is always in the foundation and the ongoing work in our lives.
You make it sound like it could be self work.
I make it no work on our behalf .Either he does all the work of creating new creatures or he does none.

So then the ongoing work of Christ's faith as that which he finishes working in us till the end ? or a work we can perform till the end ?

Can't serve two masters of one faith .The faith of Christ is our living confidence that we have in us but is never to be assumed it could be of us.. There is no living hope we can have in these earthen bodies of death.

2Corinthians 4:7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

Where our heart is.. there we will find our treasure. If our treasure is in a heart that has not been converted we assume as a imagination of our old heart. We are saved to the end .OSAS Not until the next moment when we do deny Him in unbelief and crucify him over and over (no faith) as if one demonstration was not enough.

Like I told peter many times because he used this same line of reasoning,. Scripture is not bound to what we think it needs to say, It is the word of God. and can only be interpreted Gods way.

secondly, Why did you not answer my question? Again like peter. when you are confronted with something, You ignore and refuse to answer the question.

If you want to discuss in a bible DISCUSSION forum. Then discuss.

Food for thought...

Hey Guys, when you got saved, which sins were forgiven you? All of them? Now that you are saved, which sins are forgiven you? All of them?

It's not by works.

"functioning as wolves"

These are strong words, dangerous accusations.
In the past such words have led to one group actually killing another over
points of view of faith, claiming the other side were really xxxxxxxxxxxx evil.

It is always easy to do this than understand why things are said and believed.
So I suggest rather than cursing scripture, and cursing believers, you actually
take time to let the Lord show you what love is and how it works.

Grace and peace to you in Christ Jesus

I have been a member of CC for a few years now. And I have never (in fact I have never in my whole life) heard someone say it was not Jesus own free will decision to die on the cross.

so who are you talking to?

Jesus was buried by strangers, not even His disciples
Who he was buried by does not have any bearing on the gospel whatsoever. The fact that poured out his Spirit life in jeopardy of his own Spirit not seen is the point. God cannot die it was a demonstration of that not seen.

It was the work of the immutable attributes of God who is not a man as us that worker together in perfect harmony and submission to one another . The Father and Son bring us the peace of God that surpasses all human understanding as the spiritual understanding he freely gives to His new creation. It the work of both works in in us to purify our hearts .It is God who makes our hearts soft.

So it struck me, no one would weep if some people laid down their lives, so probably they would never

do it in the first place because touching other people in their hearts is not something they know anything
about.
When the Son of God as the Son of man seen wept the father wept with him.He and the father are one .Not that they became one as if God was a created being.

John 11:35 Jesus wept.
