For all his brilliance Hawking was an atheist. So all his *knowledge* was vain. The fool has said in his heart there is no God.
Maybe. You weren't with him 24/7, though. You didn't see him take his last breath. You're not able to read his mind. God is. Hawking could have changed his mind and heart moments before. Did he? I don't know. You don't know. None of us here know. We will all find out in the next life, though. In the meantime, why even speculate? Does it change the situation? If not, why are you speculating?

It's kinda nice to hold out hope that Hawkins changed his mind about God in the last few breaths of his life here on earth....a wee bit naive possibly, but kinda nice.....

Truth is, Jesus Himself told us how we would know people, and I'm pretty sure Hawkins has left a plethora of evidence along the path he traveled here on. Mayhaps it would be best to hold out our hopes and prayers for the "living?"

The problem is that the words used: Gehenna, Hades and Sheol dont mean Hell. They mean grave. Not so sure that Hel is compatible with a loving God.
I would encourage you to read the full definition of these words using a concordance.. Strong's Concordance with Hebrew and Greek Lexicon.

True, God is love, but He is also a JUST God. There will not be one soul in hell or heaven unjustly.
Is not God's love demonstrated in this verse... Eze 33:11 Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?
It grieves the LORD GOD that people reject Him. You identify God as loving. Is it then too much to ask His creations to love Him in return?

What makes you think anyone is "speculating" about Hawking's atheism? Here is a quote from this man:

Within a year, Hawking said in a Discovery Channel documentary: “We are each free to believe what we want and it is my view that the simplest explanation is there is no God. No one created the universe and no one directs our fate.”

https://www.usatoday.com/story/news...f-history-stephen-hawkings-atheism/425724002/

As I said earlier, quoting from Scripture, the fool has said in his heart "There is no God".

Within a year? A year ago I was working at a different company. A person can change within a year. I'm not saying he did, because I don't know. I do know, though, that you can do better than that. As for speculating, it's not hard to see comments stating he's in hell. I've heard testimonies from Christians ministering to their parents on their death bed. Before passing om, they acveoted Christ as their Savior. You're going to presume there's zero percent chance the same thing happened with Hawking? If you're implying that, you must not belive the verse that states anything is poissble with God.

I think we all know better than to judge. We don't know if he reached out to God a month, week, day, minute or second before he passed away. We do know thaf we should leave the judging to God.
Instead of speaking badly about a dead person we should acknowledge his outstanding academic career. He also proved his worth beyond his disability. And for that I will honor him. It is so easy to look down on people because of a disability. He prooved that a life worth living isn't defined by physical strength. I need to remind myself of that.

I don't think people realise how blessed they really are. It's easy to take something like walking for granted. I have anxiety and it's especially high when driving. It's to the point where I have panic attacks behind the wheel. Top it off with bad bad vision, it's a recipe for disaster. I've told 5 people in person about the actual reason why I don't have a license. Until a person has the disability him/herself, or the person lives with a loved one with a disability, no complete understanding will ever take place.

Stephen Hawking's eternal fate has been sealed. At this point we can not change it.

The lost one down the street's fate has not yet been sealed. Put all your effort in bringing him/her to Christ before they die and their eternal fate is sealed.

if one doesn't LOVE Jesus Christ FIRST and FOREMOST, but proclaims to have the answers
to things that he can't really understand and denies our Creator, especially such a one
with such an amazing mind,
then we know for sure, that his amazing mind and it's analysis is of this evil world,
satan's-world is nothing more than that, demonic speculation and totally un-profitable and deceiving...

may God have mercy upon his soul!!!,

And he was an jew hater...
I tried googling anything relating to Hawking hating Jews but was unsuccessful in finding anything. Since this is a pretty big accusation, would you mind posting evidence to support your claim? If it's true Hawking hated Jews, I definitely want to know about it.

I would agree it's "nice" to hope Hawking accepted Christ as his Saviour right before his death, but more importantly, it's ENTIRELY possible too. Maybe believing God can do the impossible is "naive" to you... I'm sure Hawking thought the same thing... in that sense, you and he appear to see common ground. Sure, possible does not equate to probable, but the simple fact remains, no one knows if Hawking accepted Christ right before his death; no one can doom or cast him to Hell but God.

It is my observation that those who deny Christ all their life do not call out to Christ on their death bed to be saved. If they call out to God it is for an additional breath of life.

I have had foolish men brag to me that they would get saved on their death beds. They desired to enjoy the pleasures of sin as long as they could. There does come a time when God will no longer strive with a man over his soul.

God is good to save those who will come and merciful on those who delay but there is an end from which there is no escaping Gods judgment.

how do you know this about the man?
Not only has Hawking visited Israel a handful of times, he received and accepted the Wolf Prize in physics. He even co-developed a theory with Hebrew physicist Jacob Bekenstein (Bekenstein-Hawking entropy).

Upon further searching the topic of Hawking's hatred of Jews, the only thing that popped up was Hawkings boycott of an Israeli president's conference for political reasons (BDS movement, not because he hates Jews). I doubt this is what Demi was talking about though, as one would have to be slanderous to link an awards boycott to "hatred" of an entire faith.

All this speculation about Hawking's fate, and the fate of all unbelievers is moot. Even professing Christians that do not have the Holy Spirit, have no chance to serve God. Only the participants of the first resurrection have any chance of ruling with Christ.

There are many morally good people in the world, but unless our Father draws them into His fold: they will never understand God's word and His plan. We don't have to worry about anyone being tormented in flames forever. Romans 6:23 says the wages of sin is death. Everybody sins and everybody pays. This is physical death. The dead are asleep. Paul may have said: to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. OK, to close your eyes at night: presto - it is morning. It is the same principal.

God's promise to resurrect "the rest of the dead" in Rev. 20 will be the first and only chance these that were not called in the first life will have. That is when they will have their chance to overcome Satan and his fallen army. This will be Satan's last act. When God is finished with purging the universe of evil: all the demons and evil people will be completely destroyed.

Eze. 28:14: "Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire." This establishes identity.
Eze. 28:18: "Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee."
Eze. 28:19: "All they that know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt thou be any more." This tells of the fate of Satan. Which is also the fate of those that reject the Holy Spirit anointing by the end of the judgement period.

Since-honestly-none of us knows whether or not the man was or wasn't saved at the end, why endlessly speculate, and continue this? God knows, and HE's the only would who needs to know. I pray to Father God that HE richly blesses us all today-In the name of HIS most precious Son, our Lord Jesus, Amen.

I totally agree. Maybe I'm wrong, but I think some people speculate Hawking's salvation so they can get a "gotcha!" dig at him for being atheist most of his life and using science as an explanation for why he doesn't believe in a God. That isn't love though. I can guarantee you God doesn't passive aggressively rejoice when one of His children is lost.
