Covering heads is a Middle Eastern custom, here Iranian Christians. 1 Cor 11:16 "IF"

The Assyrian Church

If anyone wants to enforce this custom I will be expecting to see the male leadership in like traditional attire.

A woman's glory is hidden, and many many men spend most of their lives trying to uncover and/or cover it in all the wrong places. Methinks this might be the underlying lesson of this exercise in futility.

What Bible verse says to subtract Judas?
Acts 1:20 where I believe it is Psalm 109:8 being quoted. There are only 12 "offices" and all twelve were filled by Jesus Christ himself and that would make Paul the 12th. Matthias was chosen by lot but the 12 apostles chosen by Christ are represented in the foundation of New Jerusalem in Revelation 21:14.

Soooo, in the last 10 months, did you all learn us mere women how to behave yet?

(Ever notice these topics are all started by men? And then other men come along to speak up for the women. And, all the time, everyone is talking about it, absolutely no one is bothering to figure out what they should do personally. It's always about what others should or shouldn't do. AND, somehow another just the arguing over it is supposedly the way to convince women how we should act. Because, heaven forbid men take up the bigger question in life. The Lord's word is clear for women. We're supposed to submit. That's kind of vague, but when we study what that means, who we submit to really does become clear. But really? Men? Have you ever gotten to the point where you've totally learned to handle what men are supposed to do? We got "submit." You guys got "love the woman like Jesus loves the Church." Infinitely harder to suss out than "submit." And yet, 24 pages of whether women should preach in church. Love the lack of priorities there.)

Some people think that the covering on their heads is a veil,or a cloth like material, but it is not.

1Co 11:15 But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering.

The covering is her hair.

1Co 11:14 Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?

And long hair on a man is a shame.

1Co 11:7 For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.

A man should have short hair for he is in the image of God,which means he should cut his hair, and not let it get too long.Jesus was in the image of God so He would of had short hair.

1Co 11:5 But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven.
1Co 11:6 For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered.

If a woman cuts her hair it is the same as if she were shaven, and she is putting herself in the place of a man.

So God wants a distinction between a man and a woman, and a man should cut his hair, but if he does not then he is putting himself in the position of a woman, and it is a shame to him,and he is not in the image of God,and when he prays or prophesies he dishonors his head.

But a woman should not cut her hair, and if she does she is putting herself in the position of a man,and she dishonors her head.

1Co 11:10 For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels.

The woman should have uncut hair because of the angels, for they have the authority above the angels,as well as all saints, for they will have a higher position in heaven than that of the angels, which the Bible says the angels desire to look in to the salvation of the saints.

Some people will cry legalistic, let us have our hair the way we want, but they do not want to heed scriptures, and that God wants a distinction between a man and a woman on earth.

When they put off the flesh, and have a glorified body in heaven there is no distinction between them, for the only thing that separates a man and a woman is the flesh, the soul and spirit are the same.
Oh good grief...

What I really laughed over was the argument that we don't have to obey The Law of Paul about head covering because that was just the custom of the place and time. Well, the custom of the place and time I live in is that women can speak, vote, work and preach. So since the head covering was just "custom" the argument did not further the mans argument.

As she-who-reeks-of-sarcasm, let me try to help you here.

I haven't found any really good emojis for sarcasm, however these are the ones I often use when I'm in the midst of reeking.

and one I haven't seen until now, but definitely a good one

So you make some wonderful point but it seems you might be a little frustrated so i just want to clarify i was not trying to be rude but rather give my interpretation of this scripture.
So your first post stated that for can mean because, that's incorrect the strong dictionary states that for is G1063 and translates to ( A primary particle; properly assigning a reason (used in argument, explanation or intensification; often with other particles): - and, as, because (that), but, even, for indeed, no doubt, seeing, then, therefore, verily, what, why, yet.)
The second reply doesn't make sense all i said was if a woman of faith was to have a child they would not die i said nothing nor does the verse about woman who cant conceive children.
The third reply there are only so many ways to interpret a verse and this verse is clear but ill tell you what i do to properly interpret a verse i define each word of the verse by looking at the original translation in greek or hebrew this way i know exactly what that verse is saying it's not rocket science.
The fourth reply This passage is the the law that you want me to show you it's also a command as it states. This does not mean woman can talk at all in the church that's a lie they can talk and speak all they want they just cant get up on that pole pit and preach. So you just have to understand the context of this scripture to make heads or tails of it.
The final reply states that woman should not be reasonable for what eve did because of the blood of Jesus and your right but it still says "But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence." This doesn't mean all woman have this permanent sin hanging over them no, it's just a command that was given for this transgression. I am always open to learn i am not stubborn or prideful if you feel that i am interpreting something wrong be straight with me as i will be with you for you are my brother or sister in Christ i don't know your gender but anyways i am relatively new to being a true born again Christian because before i was lukewarm and did nothing for god so now that i am studying to show myself approved i welcome all knowledge of the scripture so that i may rightly divide the word of truth.
God Bless you in Jesus name

Where does one find this traditional attire in the Bible?
Alright, have it your way. No robes and turbans required. But no man can come to Church with long hair. You are going to need the Roman style hair cut if you expect me to wear a veil Mr.
