2 Timothy 4:2 [SUP]2[/SUP]Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage-with great patience and careful instruction.

Titus 2:15 [SUP]15[/SUP]These, then, are the things you should teach. Encourage and rebuke with all authority. Do not let anyone despise you.

Proverbs 27:5 [SUP]5[/SUP]Better is open rebuke than hidden love.

Does it sound like God is telling us to be silent ? Or does it sound like He is telling us to try to straighten the paths of others ? Your way is not the way described in the Bible. You may think it is but it isn't. Surely nothing will change one if they don't realize they are doing wrong. If they are told, then at least they know about it and have been given a chance to change. Silence is not the answer and these verses make that rather clear.
Judge not lest ye be judged, rebuking is for those who are taught, the untaught there is no point in trying to rebuke for they cannot understand, what is right is to teach and then if they learn but error then ye rebuke.
Love thy neighbor as yourself, who is your neighbor?
Your neighbor is anyone who is in need or likewise who will help you in time of need, the lost neighbors we can help through "guidance" not "rebuking" for what profit is it to speak to ears that be as deaf to God's word?
Will a tall man hear one he sees as a fool?
Will one of unbelief begin to believe simply by order?
Nay ye must "reach out" to those whom ye can but tis good to hold one's tongue be times for if one rushes to action ye may stumble and fall and be thought mad.

No one said to be silent. I clearly said keep on loving them and loving them entails all what you quoted. You can't love someone and not preach the truth to them
Sounded like in your earlier post you were saying it was a bad idea to try to steer them onto the proper path. Referring to trying to help them as "bantering on and on". I don't see any limit in the Bible as to how many times the truth should be told. Is there a limit on this that I have overlooked somewhere ?

Thank you Joe, but I don't need your instructions. I know what the verses say and the last one is the best one. Silence never taught anyone anything.

Do you not realize your jokes concerning God constitute blasphemy ? They do.
Oh come on now, get off her back!

She has been trying to make this place better by focusing on The Lord and drawing attention to praising him. Have you not noticed that? Why not some kind encouragement for your sister instead of false accusations? It isn't your place to rebuke everyone you cross paths with. You aren't the prefect of Christianity.

Is there anyone else that has been baptized by the Holy Spirit the way JESUS SAID?

Are there any "SIGNS FOLLOWING" (Mark 16:17)?

Did they receive "POWER" to be a witness unto HIM" (Acts 1:8)?

Idk!

So far; no one has given their testimony (Lk 9:26)!
You need to study the Ot symbology.

Non of these things are the result of the baptism of the spirit. they are a result of the ANOINTING of the SPIRIT.

I fear you do not even understand what the baptism of the spirit even is :(

How about you get off my back sonny boy ? I told her the truth. It isn't your place to be rebuking me for telling the truth. So, why don't you try minding your own business. There was no false accusations on my part. Jokes involving the Lord are blasphemy, plain and simple. If you don't believe that, then I suggest you spend more time reading your Bible.

You poor thing!

GOD LOVES JUDGMENT!

I Peter 4:17 "For the time is come that JUDGMENT must began at the house of GOD: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that OBEY NOT the gospel of GOD?"

I want to be JUDGED according to HIS WORD! I JUDGE myself according to HIS WORD!

I Corinthians 6:3 "Know ye not that we shall JUDGE ANGELS? how much more things that pertain to this life?"

What you've been TAUGHT as being "Religiously correct" is what you don't see!

I OBEY THE WORD OF GOD!

Did you see GOD SAY "JUDGE?"

Sound like that's not what RELIGION has taught you!

I GIVE TRUTH!

I GIVE WORD!
You poor thing, You know nothing of God.

John 12:47

And if anyone hears My words and does not believe, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world.

Luke 6:37
Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.

Matthew 7:3
And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye? 4. Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye’; and look, a plank is in your own eye? 5. Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.

You've never known one "SENT" (Romans 10:14-15) by GOD; that's why!

I'm BLESSED AND HIGHLY FAVORED! Thank you!:)

No pride here, This woman in the words and language of the king jimmy, "puffeth herself up"

James 4:6
But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.”

1 Peter 5:5
[ Submit to God, Resist the Devil ] Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.”

Please do not attempt to deprive us of this wonderful sister's joy. Sir, I have to ask you the same question I asked the lady who is acting like a bull in a china shop yesterday.

Why do you think you are exempt from 1 Corinthians 13? Please read your past couple dozen posts and try and detect any love.

And honestly, you can spare us the "I am showing love by telling truth" routine. ALL THE TRUTH IN THE WORLD IS MEANINGLESS, and perhaps MORE harmful, if you are devoid of love.

Listen to the TRUTH of God's Word and meditate, and pray on it's validity: I am not rebuking you, I am trying to reach you.

You have reached me just fine Penn. And I was trying to reach this other person as well. We all know that jokes involving the Lord are blasphemous and I have witnessed many on here in a very short time. Now, I don't believe I was overly harsh with that person. I simply stated that joking about the Lord is not correct and I left it at that. You didn't see me ranting and raving about the mistake at all. I acknowledged that it took place and moved on. So, I don't see why you felt any need to admonish a truth being told when it was done very quickly and without any malice or name calling. If you truly wish to admonish something very bad that takes place on here on a daily basis, I will make a suggestion for you. You may just be able to greatly improve this site if you were to kindly rebuke some of these people on here that are constantly engaging in calling others names. I acknowledge your suggestion and hope you will acknowledge mine.

"...good luck trying to get in because of "UNBELIEF" (Hebrews 3:19)!

NOW THAT'S WORSE!
In Hebrews 4:1-2, we read - "For indeed the gospel was preached to US as well as to THEM; but the word which THEY heard did not profit THEM, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it. For we who have believed do enter that rest, as He has said: "So I swore in My wrath, 'They shall not enter My rest," although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. Obviously, not all of these Hebrews were genuine believers. Notice that verses 2-3 make a distinction between US who have BELIEVED and do enter that rest and THEM who heard the word but did not mix faith with what they heard and will not enter that rest because of UNBELIEF.

What do YOU believe the gospel IS and what do YOU believe it means to BELIEVE the gospel?
(Romans 1:16)

you know, I just love it when know-it-alls just show up and start lecturing everyone on how to behave, like you have some moral high ground. read the woman caught in adultery story, and pay attention to the part about casting stones.

You didn't tell the truth. There was no blasphemy. Your charge wouldn't hold up in court. The joke was not course, unsuitable or disparaging of God's character. Perhaps you should spend a bit more time getting to know The Lord God instead of ranting needlessly at his sheep. You will discover that he has a sense of humour. The problem for you is that many Christians do read their Bibles, that is why we know we are right to challenge an attitude like yours.

Why did you start out with "Judge not"...

[Which is an imperative sentence for we ARE to judge with the Word of God or we couldn't tell one they are unrighteous according to His Word which defies "Teach all nations"]

then say "LOVE THY NEIGHBOR" followed by "I" KNOW she is UNLEARNED."

What do YOU call that?

Did you use the WORD OF GOD to come to that conclusion or was it "YOUR" opinion?

When we give "OUR" opinion with NO EVIDENCE from the WORD OF GOD, *we* have "JUDGED!"

Matthew 7:1 is an IMPERATIVE SENTENCE in which JESUS COMMANDED *us* to "JUDGE NOT" using *our* opinion and when WORD doesn't speak on a matter BE QUIET!

Isn't "chastising" and "rebuking" the way you love your children UNTIL they get it right?

I don't understand this SUPERFICIAL LOVE you "RELIGIOUSLY CORRECT" people have created.

When you love someone you tell the "The stove is HOT" rather than "Leave them alone and they'll FIND OUT!"

Well, in the case of SALVATION there are NO DO OVERS!

"While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation" (Hebrews 3:15).

Sir if your listed age is correct then I think you need to be accorded respect by your younger brothers and sisters. I believe you do have a zeal for the Lord and His Word. The disconnect you seem to be having with so many is not so much doctrinal, but rather generational. I don't think any of us took Lafftur's post as blasphemous, but perhaps it might have been deemed blasphemous many yrs ago.

Although our Father MUST be feared (reverent awe) and never disrespected, we should remember that He is our Daddy (Abba).
I do not believe he would in any way take her post as an offense. She is His little girl! That's how he sees her, and us as well. We're His kids.

I in no way condone or approve ANY behavior or post that insults or degrades another person. But we have to have grace, and give it to those that offend us in fact, or, as in most cases, what WE percieve as fact.

If you feel offended by something someone says view that as an opportunity from the Lord as a test to see if you can show love and Grace.

I honestly wasn't trying to rebuke you. I was attempting to show you the situation from a different perspective. Be at peace here. Just like in our earthly families we squabble sometimes. But know that we love you.

SORRY JOKSTER! I AGREE WITH YOU!

I HADN'T HAD MY COFFEE WHEN I WROTE THIS BUT IS "TRUTH" ANYWAY!

THIS IS A [SUPPOSEDLY] A "CHRISTIAN" SITE WITH "BELIEVERS." THEY HAVE "LEARNED" BUT IN ERROR AND ARE NOW AT STAGE II "REBUKE THEM *...SHARPLY* THAT THEY MAY BE SOUND IN *THE FAITH*" (TITUS 1:13)!

Blessings:)
