I hope I never have to eat a worm, but its good to hear they can taste good fried in butter.
I guess if I had butter I wouldnt need to eat the worm though.
John, we did not only have to walk along way to school, but remember how long it took to make a phone call?
Or, how long we had to be in line for gas?
Or remember when pong came out and how slow it was but how great we all thought it was?
Also, if you ran out of gas or your car broke down, how far one had to walk to find a phone?
Smiles and God bless, pickles

I take the bus to school. Takes the better part ov an hour. I have an 8 am class, which means I have to be up at 6 30. Ugh, that is NOT gonna be fun.
You kids have it soft today! I have been getting up before six for the last 50 years. I have caught a lot of worms, LOL

John
I’m usually up at 4:30, you softies.

I don’t eat worms.

Hopefully it won’t come to that.
I was surprised that I was able t, but it was a requirement for the class, Make a meal from what we could find. It had to be raw. Wild onions and grubs with earthworms on the side. It wasn't that bad but i am not fond of onions.

I learned in the Air Force that survival is a basic instinct and that we will do or eat whatever is necessary to survive.

After four days in the jungle of Panama without food I learned to eat bugs, worms, lizards, snakes and whatever else was suitable for consumption so I could keep my strength up as I evaded instructors and completed the course. I lasted six days before I was caught.

The advisability of making a fire was very low.At times I was hiding within yards of my instructors, so I ate them raw and on the run usually. I will say that I have not eaten any since then but at least I can say that I have.

The eating of bugs is not uncommon. In some cultures, certain bugs are considered delicasies; rice bugs in Thailand, Large spiders by certain native tribes. My mother used to sell fried ants dipped in choclate and fried grasshoppers as gourmet delicasies. I guess it just depends on ones tastes.

Onions only serve one purpose and that is to keep someone from kissing you. Eat an onion and no one wants to be around you. Fathers, feed your girls onions all the time and take away the mouthwash! lol
