Instead of we follow doctrine of men (Be they John Calvin or Jacobus Arminius or any other man), let's follow Jesus and His Holy Scripture. No doctrine of men is perfect.
Besides: "...let God be true, but every man a liar..." (Rom 3.4).

16 Don’t you realize that grace frees you to choose your own master? But choose carefully, for you surrender yourself to become a servant—bound to the one you choose to obey. If you choose to love sin, it will become your master, and it will own you and reward you with death. But if you choose to love and obey God, he will lead you into perfect righteousness. Romans 6:16 TPT

That is what Arminianism is. Arminius wrote about where Calvinism is not Scriptural.

The TPT is not a real translation. Brian Simmons has no training as a translator. It is written for the NAR movement. I wouldn't use it for any serious study

Just a question.

Do you believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit?

JPT
Yes. I am a Classical Pentecostal but attend a Calvary Chapel because my AOG church was teaching Bill Johnson books and revoked my family's membership when I emailed the pastor about my concerns with Johnsons postmillennial dominionism. A view of the TPT.

None of those support your point. Try to explain how they do so we can see your eisegesis more clearly.
Sorry, I'm not wasting my time with people who deliberately don't want to see. You can't make someone see the truth if they have already made up their minds it doesn't exist

No mention of any "gift" of obedience here.

No mention of any "gift" of obedience here.

No mention of any "gift" of obedience here.

Brother, there is not one single solitary mention of God giving us the "gift of obedience" in any of these scriptures you quoted.

Not one.

The reason there isn't is because there is no such "gift" mentioned in the entire Bible.

Please stop promoting false unbiblical doctrine to God's precious children.

Please read what the Bible does say:

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16

Each person must choose to believe and obey the Gospel, in order to be saved.

Here is your version of John 3:16

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him is predestined to be saved, should not perish but have everlasting life. Calvisim 3:16

Dear Sir,

If you don't believe that election is the greatest gift and the greatest news a person could ever receive, then I must sadly conclude that you are spiritually blind. I feel great pity for your kind, would you like me to pray for you.

To post Preacher4truth #220:
Says the Calvinist who's gospel in Acts 16:30,31 says to " what must I do to be saved" "nothing, you can do nothing because God will save you if you are one of His elect chosen ones".
The fact he was drawn and subsequently saved shows he was elect, therefore he cried out for salvation. Obviously he was chosen in Christ before the foundation of the world.

But hey, why bother with you when you reject the true Gospel of Christ for your truncated Finney version?

Still waiting for you to show a scripture that teaches us their is a “gift” of obedience.

Why are you insulting me?

Just provide a scripture that says we are given some gift from God that is called obedience.

If you can’t, then you need to repent of promoting an unbiblical doctrine of deception.

No scripture here about a gift of obedience, just more insults.

I’m beginning to believe you are promoting a doctrine of your fantasy.

Peter warned us about people like you.

as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which untaught and unstable people twist to their own destruction, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures. 2 Peter 3:16

I have read everything Arminius had to say, it's all heresy
That is simply not the truth. No matter what you think of Arminius, you have a duty to tell the truth.

So why don't you quote the Five Articles of the Remonstrants and show us exactly what is heresy, quoting the appropriate Scriptures to prove your point.

As I said earlier, Calvinists lie a lot about what Arminians teach, so let's see some truth for a change. And I am not an Arminian, as I have already mentioned. I believe in and present Bible truth.

I don't reject the true Gospel. Why are you eisegeting into Acts 16:30,31 what isn't there and ignoring what is there?

You do reject the true Gospel, you use it like a smorgasbord; you put on your plate what you like, and reject what you dislike. Yours is a truncated gospel.

What I gather from reading your errant posts is you don't know how to use Scripture properly and tie it all together. That, and you hasve no evidence of eisegesis because there is none.

Of course most of us already know this to be the case concerning you as your track record is well known.

There is no eisegesis, nor did I ignore what is there. Stop bearing false witness and try implementing 2 Timothy 2:15 for once instead of your Finneyism?

Carry on, and get in your last word, there is no need for me to engage with a person who refuses to see what Scripture plainly teaches. It's remarkable to witness you and others outright reject what God has revealed in his word.

Your Gospel as opposed to Acts 16:30,31 is a person can't do anything to be saved. You are the one rejecting the plain meaning of Scripture.

When it comes to where the rubber meets the road you run away with your tail tucked. You can spout off Calvinist philosophy all day long but you can't support it with Scripture read in its context. BTW, that verse does not mean God made any people wicked.

I can see you don't know your Bible at all so let me give you the ABC baby steps. The gift of salvation is a complete package deal, that God ONLY gives to His elect. One of the components in that package is the gift of obedience.

You will never obey God while you remain dead in trespasses and sins, God must first give you the gift of salvation which brings you to life so you can begin to obey all the necessary things to effect your salvation
