Today is my late brother's birthday
He couldn't make to it this time around
Facebook sent me a notification to wish him a birthday - sigh

Maybe you should tell FB that he's gone home now and won't need their birthday wishes anymore..

How are we all doing? I pray much is the result of your fruit in Him, for this is His promise to us in His Word. Even when we are much less than much - our disposition in Him is never short of much. We, therefore, will result in much as well (in reality) as He empowers us in our lives. Fruit-up; fruit-on; and fruit much! For this is your New Creations disposition. To Him be the glory!

No man can make himself pure by obeying laws. Jesus Christ does not give us rules and regulations; His teachings are truths that can only be interpreted by the disposition He puts in. The great marvel of Jesus Christ’s salvation is that He alters heredity. He does not alter human nature; He alters its mainspring.

Much of the misery in our Christian life comes not because the devil tackles us, but because we have never understood the simple laws of our make-up.

hello everyone, I just want to take part in the cozy company of my fellow brothers & sisters in Christ. I just hope all is well. ive staying up all night lately and my thoughts wander around in all sorts of places, often gravitating toward some especially dark corners. so I am trying to resist the darkness and hand out in the warm light of Christian positive energy. Unfortunately I have no Christian friends. I have almost no friends left in the world. 34 years old and im an embarrassment right now. Lord willing I will be out of this hole soon enough and perhaps one day there will be a chance i wont be alone forever. I feel so pathetic at my age. Braindead and empty too from too much isolation, loneliness and depression. but i dont want to vent like i always do. I need to find a church. I need to be surrounded by Christian community and not just waste away in solitude cut off from the world as I have spent far far too much of my life and it has taken a very serious toll on my psychological/emotional state. anyways, that was just a long-winded way of saying hello out there. ;-)
:):giggle::geek:

Well hello friend how are you? Wait you already answered that didn't you? But is that where you should be at? I think of how many posts I have red from you describing your isolation and pain and I come to ask - why are you not receiving God's answered prayers? Why are you not doing what God has made clear instead of praying for what He has already made clear to do? I would describe that by what Paul said - he claimed to do one thing onwardly - to take hold and grab and cling to that which Christ has first grabbed ahold of him in.

The Bible doesn’t promise that we will never have problems … but God makes us a POWERFUL PROMISE in (Romans 8:28) - that ALL THINGS work together for GOOD to those that love Him and are called to His purpose.

The only way to love Him, is to realize how unconditionally He loves us!
GOD LOVES YOU RIGHT NOW - HIS PLAN FOR YOU IS ALWAYS GOOD.
AND THAT CHANGES EVERYTHING! HAS IT CHANGED YOU?

Allow the big people as Becca so charmingly calls us - to share with you what you can do when things don’t go your way … but first let me share with you FOUR THINGS NOT TO DO:
  • DON’T GIVE IN TO ANGER. Every one of us is tempted to get mad when things don’t go our way. But anger DELAYS the outcome we want. (James 1:19) says – Anger does not achieve the righteousness of God.

NOTICE: anger doesn’t ‘achieve’… When you realize it won’t achieve anything, anger loses its control over you! We can’t control who knocks at our door, but we CAN CONTROL who we let in.
The temptation to live in anger subsides when we know God is going to work this thing out for our good.

DON’T QUIT. If your prayer isn’t answered, what happens? You might say, “Well God, maybe it wasn’t YOUR WILL for me to have this.” But if it wasn’t God’s will for you to have it, then why ask Him for it to begin with?

SINCE GOD’S WORD IS HIS WILL, before you ask for anything, simply find a promise for it in Scripture. The Bible tells us in (1 John 5:14-15) that if we ask anything according to His will, we can know that we have what we ask for. It’s yours. It just hasn’t shown up yet!
Resist the temptation to give up, by knowing its God’s job (and His promise) to bring it to pass!

DON’T THROW AWAY YOUR CONFIDENCE in the GOODNESS OF GOD. We may not understand all that happens in our lives, BUT GOD IS STILL A GOOD GOD. No matter what has happened or hasn’t happened, don’t let life’s problems dictate what you are going to believe about God.

Resist the temptation to throw away your confidence that you “will see the goodness of God in the land of the living.” (Psalm 27:13).

DON’T PANIC. God knows the future. He knows what He’s doing. He has already provided an answer, a solution – AN ESCAPE.

God said in (Jeremiah 29:11) – “I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out… plans to give you the future you hope for!“

When things don’t go your way, take a leap of faith and relax. He has a plan. Your future is bright. Its going to get better!
SO WHAT DO WE DO?
Now that you know WHAT NOT TO DO, what should you do when things go wrong?

  • TRUST GOD ANYWAY! I will trust and I will not be afraid (Isaiah 12:2). Trust is a choice to BELIEVE WHAT HIS WORD SAYS. When things don’t go our way, WE TRUST HIM ANYWAY. When our plans aren’t working out, WE TRUST HIM ANYWAY. Trusting God means believing He will keep His promise to us, even when things don’t make sense – when we don’t see things working out… we believe God is still turning things in our favor.

  • GIVE GOD TIME. (Ecclesiastes 3:11) says, …He makes ALL THINGS BEAUTIFUL IN HIS TIME. Time is on YOUR SIDE because God created time! And He is on YOUR SIDE!There is ALWAYS enough time for God to work. No matter what bad decisions you’ve made or what the enemy has stolen from your life over the years, GOD CAN RESTORE IT ALL!

  • IN ONE MOMENT, God can make up for years of loss or frustration in your life!
This is YOUR MOMENT! God promises He will turn EVERYTHING that happens in our life into something GOOD. (Romans 8:28).

dpecheur - Claim and grab that which Christ is grabbing you ahold in - namely in Himself and your disposition in Him.

My exam result.... i failed the most important of it all... I just had to

I am sorry. If I can ever be of help in studying the subjects with you - I would. Don't let this defeat you, just learn from it, and be in the joy of the Lord still as it will give you strength to muster thru it. But also think and ask God how you can improve for next time, and rest in Him as He establishes your steps. It is not the end of the world, but I empathize with you over the impact it is having with you. Trust God and He will both be your refuge and your counsel. May God richly Bless you today Lil' Sis - my heart goes out to you!
