My apologies. I have no idea how the above post came about and it’s too late down here in Australia to try and figure it out.
I will however comment that this idea of one sin is as bad as commiting all of them must have kept the confessional busy in the middle ages and beyond and provided the church of Rome a nice little income from indulgences.

So far you have not written one thing that most of us do not already know. Just sayin:)

Can I suggest a topic for discussion at your next bible study group. Presuming Genesis Ch 1: V 26 to be the inerrant truth consider the location of the prostate gland, a major erogenous zone and it’s location just inside the male anus. I’m not being facetious here, it’s a serious question.
A former friend of mine is now a heroin addict, he is actually a reprobate who professed to be a believer. You can't be a Christian and a drug addict at the same time, the same goes for homosexuals. You can't be a homosexual and a Christian at the same time. A drug addict chose to use drugs knowing it's sinful to do so, likewise all homosexuals decided to try homosexual sex knowing it's sinful.

They are without excuse, they will have to face their punishment when they stand before God. The bible is crystal clear, that no Sodomite will inherit the kingdom. That only leaves eternal torment in hell, the Catholic homosexuals hope purgatory is real but they are in for a rude shock.

My former friend is a highly educated scientists, he explained how heroin works in the brain to create a feeling of euphoria. You reminded me of him, by attempting to rationalize the abominable sin of Sodomy. My pastor tells us to have no fellowship with homosexuals, drug addicts and criminals in general. For what fellowship does light have with darkness, we won't even accept homosexuals into our worship service.

I wonder what is your definition of Christian and how do you think you receive your salvation.

If somebody who believes in Christ has some weakness, like addiction to something, you say he will end up in hell? Faith in Christ is not enought for salvation?

How many days before your death do you have to be without any sins to end up in heaven?

My pastor tells us to have no fellowship with homosexuals, drug addicts and criminals in general. We won't even accept homosexuals into our worship service.
I wonder, how do you know that you do not have any homosexuals in your worship service. You ask everybody whether he/she is a hetero?

BTW, I heard of one man, living long time ago, who was spending time with various sinners, adulterers and prostitutes and said that these people need a doctor, not the righteous ones :)

Satan is no more than an excuse for many directly responsible for their own actions.
You seems obsessed by Satan. Don't you know that Jesus is greater than the evil one. If Jesus never condemned homosexuals why would you? Are you above Jesus?

Jesus did condemn it. He was with God when sodom and Gomorrah was destroy. He is God.

He did condemn Sodom and Gomorrah but not homosexuality. The inhabitants of these villages were wicked and perverses. They did not take care of the poor, the widows, and the orphans but were driven by their sexual lust for whatever they see. This has nothing to do with homosexuals. God will never condemn an homosexual who honours Him, never, never...

Can I suggest some further study in the medical literature...it would be on the physiological and biological effects this behaviour has on the body over time.

It ain't pretty.

You can justify it all you want, but it don't change anything. The men at sodom told Lot to send out the angels so they could sleep with them.l

I have noticed two extreme positions in this thread:

One group says that homosexuals should be put in jail, persecuted, seen as almost the worst sinners ever etc.

Second group says that homosexuality is OK and God has nothing against it.

I think the biblical position is that it is a moral/sexual sin, even some kind of judgement and punishment in itself.
But the Bible does not say we should not present our love or Christ to homosexuals or that we should keep them locked or that they are worse than any heterosexual adulterer.

They did not say to sleep with them but to know them. In any case, you are stuck in your condemnation. So what can I say...

Would be interesting as long as they are serious study! Could you summarize what these effects are?

By the way, pjharrison, I am heterosexual contrary to what you said.
Gen:19:5 5 They called to Lot, “Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us so that we can have sex with them.”
Romans 1:27 27In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.
It's wrong. Why you defending this act. Are you sinning and want to justify it by grace?

This is the way it has been translated but the original words are We want to know Them. The issue with your position is your lack of emphaty and compassion

What I have been saying is that it is wrong. They shouldn't be locked up because it is not a crime it's a sin. I will speak to them and be pleasant, but I'm not going to become friends and hang out, because I don't want to see. And I can't pretend it's not wrong. They can live there lives and be happy. I can't send them to heaven or hell. That is for God to decide.

Genesis 4:1 And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the Lord now

We all deserve more than jail. We earned death by our sinning. Jesus took my penalty of sin onto Himself. From the opening video I think this person is clever on his explanation of yielding to sin, and identifying with a sin.
