Thank you. You are being awfully nice today, what up?
LOL...I really am a nice person (just a little blunt) and wasn't trying to be mean in those other threads...just didn't agree with all of what you said. It happens, but that doesn't mean that we should be mean to or dislike others. If we are Christians then we are family and we should love each other even if we don't always see eye to eye. :)

Right, I appreciate that. I'm blunt myself, but I don't mean any harm. I just love Jesus, and we're all trying to get to the same place. God Bless.

God hated Esau (Malachi 1:1-3; Romans 9:13)
The turks [Esaus descendants] will soon in the future, will betray there fellow kin,
that's why God says he hates them.

Isaac foretold that Esau’s descendants would come to a time when they should
have dominion, and then break the yoke of the Israelite's from off their necks.

That did happen when The children of Israel, through sin, were driven out of the
Promised Land that belonged with the birthright. The Turks came to power and
dominion and for many centuries possessed that land. Genesis 27:39-41

Those descendants, the Turkish people, occupied Palestine 400 years before
Britain took it in 1917. Esau’s descendants always have lusted for that land,
central promise of the birthright!

The Turks have truly "lived by the sword!”
The bulk of the Turks in Turkey, especially the Ottomans, are Edomites.

Esau was also named Edom (Genesis 25:30).
the Edomites are cousins of the Israelites.

Bible Identifies the Western Turks, their identity and their origins lies in their name,
Ottoman. This name is Teman—a grandson of Esau, grandson of the patriarch Abraham.
Genesis 36 gives the genealogy of Esau, the son of Isaac and brother of Jacob.

the Bible records that Teman was a grandson of Esau through his firstborn, Eliphaz.
Teman’s prominence is demonstrated in Obadiah, which prophesies about Edom
and mentions Teman specifically in verse 9.

Turkey has a continuous identity crisis. It encompasses a land bridge that connects
Europe with the Middle East, and its inhabitants have always been torn between
identifying with its eastern Muslim neighbors and western trading partners.

the Bible prophesies that the descendants of Edom would control an important gate.
Another prophecy in Psalm 83 indicates that Edom would also be located in close proximity
to Moab and the Ammonites, which is modern-day Jordan, and also close to the Ishmaelites,
modern-day Saudi Arabia. The only country that can fulfill these prophecies, and therefore
be the descendants of Edom, is Turkey!

Turkey is located close to all these countries and controls an important gate, the Bosporus
and Dardanelles straits. All other sea gates in that area are controlled by countries whose
peoples are definitely not Edomite, such as Egypt, Iran and Saudi Arabia.

Edom can only be Turkey!

Psalm 83 contains an important prophecy of a future alliance against Israel that is soon to be
fulfilled. “For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee:
The tabernacles of Edom, and the Ishmaelites; of Moab, and the Hagarenes; Gebal, and Ammon,
and Amalek; the Philistines with the inhabitants of Tyre; Assur also is joined with them” (verses 5-8).

This prophecy declares that Assur, the father of the Assyrians, whose descendants are now the
nation of Germany, will ally with several Middle East nations, including Turkey, in an effort to
destroy the descendants of Israel.

In many ways, this prophecy is a repeat of history. The Ottoman Empire allied itself with
Germany and the Central Powers against the Anglo-Saxons in World War i. In World War ii,
many of the Muslim nations were allied with Germany or at least sympathized with Hitler’s
goal of destroying the Jews.

The biblical prophecy indicates that Turkey will not align itself with the radical Islamic states
of Iran and Egypt, but it will still be in an alliance to overthrow Israel.

In the end, Turkey will continue to look to Europe for prosperity, eventually allying again
with Germany in its prophesied destruction of the nation of Israel!

Psalm 11:5 puts it bluntly: God hates wicked people. “The LORD tests the righteous, but his soul hates the wicked and the one who loves violence” (Psalm 11:5). He hates wicked people from his soul, from the very depth of his being. God hates their ways (Proverbs 15:9), their thoughts

(Proverbs 15:26), their worship (Proverbs 15:8), their actions (Proverbs 6:18), and their evil deeds (Psalm 5:5). He singles out as a special object of his hatred the blasphemous deeds of the Nicolaitans, those who seduced God’s people with idolatry and sexual immorality. “Yet this you have: you hate the works of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate” (Revelation 2:6).

Clearly, God hates the thoughts, deeds, and desires of evil people. But further, in some way he hates the evil people themselves. His soul reacts to them with righteous revulsion as his arm extends toward them in holy fury. But who are the wicked? All of us.

We are all wicked, “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). “Just as sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all sinned” (Romans 5:12).

God must judge the wicked for their rebellion. He must judge them for their evil thoughts, their evil deeds, and even their evil desires. And he will.
God is a righteous judge,
and a God who feels indignation every day.
If a man does not repent, God will whet his sword;
he has bent and readied his bow;
he has prepared for him his deadly weapons,
making his arrows fiery shafts.
Behold, the wicked man conceives evil
and is pregnant with mischief
and gives birth to lies.
He makes a pit, digging it out,
and falls into the hole that he has made.
His mischief returns upon his own head,
and on his own skull his violence descends. (Psalm 7:11-16)
Said more tersely, “The LORD preserves all who love him, but all the wicked he will destroy” (Psalm 145:20). Psalm 1:5 promises, “the wicked will not stand in the judgment” (5). Indeed, in Luke 13 we find Jesus speaking of that final judgment.

He says that in that day some will expect to be welcomed by God into his kingdom, yet all they will hear is this terrifying judgment: “Depart from me, all you workers of evil” (Luke 13:27)! They will be consigned forever to a place where “there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth” (28).
God will judge the wicked and give them the fitting punishment for their wickedness.

  1. God hates the workers of iniquity (Psalm 5:5)
  2. God hates the wicked (Psalm 11:5)
  3. God hates the sacrifices of the wicked (Proverbs 15:8)
  4. God hates the ways of the wicked (Proverbs 15:9)
  5. God hates the thoughts of the wicked (Proverbs 15:26)
  6. God hates feet that make haste to run to evil (Proverbs 6:18)
  7. God hated Esau (Malachi 1:1-3; Romans 9:13)
  8. God hate the deeds of the Nicolaitans (Revelation 2:6)
I find it hard to believe that so many Christians think that God loves everyone unconditionally. The above Bible verses make it clear that He doesn't love everyone unconditionally. The prosperity preachers will never quote any of the above, they know that they would lose 90% of their congregation if they did.

Most Christians don't want to hear about all of Gods attributes, they are only interested in those which affirm them in their lives of sin. Those Churches which embrace everyone in their sin and affirm them in their immoral relationships are full, the Churches which preach the whole counsel of God are all but empty.
As a father I think I have insight into the heart of God. I can be disgusted with my children’s behaviour and my anger will burn. At that moment could my emotion be described as hate? Perhaps, if I didn’t have a better word to use. If they turned against me after all I have done for them and then treat another man with love and respect, and call him father my anger would burn even greater. If they apologize however and change their behaviour, I would be quick to forgive and my affection would be restored. My love would never vanish, but the expression of that love would not be present.

no

you may not be aware, but the attributes of God, found in scripture, most certainly DO NOT include hatred

love is included and as I already said, from scripture, with reference...GOD IS LOVE

His attributes are WHO He is and each one is holy as He is holy

this is not a subject that many seem to either study and some not even aware of this topic

I did not make it up...you can find plenty of material in books ... songs have been written...and the Bible is revealing

God is not hate but He is holy in what He hates...in other words, His hatred his holy...not like us..you know? the neighbor keeps cutting half our lawn out front and we argue and we end up 'hating' him (not true but just an example...we'd be happy if the neighbor cut the lawn LOL!...it grows so fast)

God is also Omniscient, Omnipresent, Eternal, Infinite, Immutable, Self-Sufficient and so on (there's more)

God, is not hate filled nor does He desire any should perish...that would be His desire if He was hate filled
Don't recall saying God is "hate filled!" Nope! Not at all!

Does God Hate? Yes! Yes! He does! When Provoked!
Malachi 1:3
And I hated Esau, and laid his mountains and his heritage waste for the dragons of the wilderness.

Does God get "Angry?" Yes! He does! When Provoked!
Ezekiel 16
26 Thou hast also committed fornication with the Egyptians thy neighbours, great of flesh; and hast increased thy whoredoms, to provoke me to anger.

Does God get "Furious?" Yes! He does!
Jeremiah 4:4
Circumcise yourselves to the Lord, and take away the foreskins of your heart, ye men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem: lest my fury come forth like fire, and burn that none can quench it, because of the evil of your doings.

Does God get "Jealous?" Yes! He does! When Provoked!
Deuteronomy 5:9
Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me,

God HAS ALL "these" emotions! And More!

Will, or WOULD God, or Jesus EVER leave, or FORSAKE you? NOPE!

Romans 6
What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace(of His LOVE) may abound? God forbid.

So, you see? God IS "Love!" But, God is all these other emotions and feelings as well? ;)

Us sheep will never be deceived, self appointed wise goats who think they know the truth will always be deceived. Satan uses their pride and self importance to lure them straight into the pits of hell, while us dumb sheep follow Christ straight into paradise.

I detect a lot of goats here who profess to be wise but they are utter fools, they know everything about nothing.
A group of scientists trained a frog to jump on command. They wanted to take measurements of how far this frog would jump, during the course of their experiment.

They commanded: Jump frog jump!! Conclusion? Frog with 4 legs jumped 14 inches.

They then cut off 1 of the frog's legs, and commanded: Jump frog jump! Conclusion? Frog with 3 legs jumped 10 inches.

Then they cut off another leg, and commanded: Jump frog jump! Conclusion? Frog with 2 legs jumped 6 inches.

Then they cut off another leg, and commanded: Jump frog jump! Conclusion? Frog with 1 leg jumped 3 inches.

Then they cut off the last leg and commanded: Jump frog jump! The frog just sat there. Jump frog JUMP! Still no movement. Conclusion?

Frog with no legs? CANNOT HEAR!:unsure::unsure:

It's a two edge sword, sir and it can cut both ways...Just saying

Let's just hope that were all following the Lord with our whole hearts. God looks at the heart and he is the judge.
I hope and pray that everyone here is following the Lord and serving Him faithfully, but I know that the powers of darkness never rest. They are very good at deceiving people, they would deceive the very elect if God didn't protect us.

Jesus said "I am the truth" so the attack is on Him. There are so many different views on who Jesus is, everyone has an opinion and the opinions vary greatly within the Church. Some say He is love, some say He came to bring peace and save everyone. So it is extremely important to know the real Jesus, our salvation depends on it. I fear that too many Christians have the wrong view of Jesus.

I agree with this.

Here's how I see it. You've got some people making him out to be too hard, some making him out to be unapproachable and then others who make him out to be a big teddy bear with hugs and kisses no matter what you do or like a genie who grants our every wish.

It is important to seek him out and learn of him. Now there are many different denominations with many varying beliefs. I think God has good people in each of these denominations by good people I mean people who are trying to seek him out and serve him with their whole heart. The scripture says we are held accountable by what we know, but that doesn't mean that we should just lay back and not learn. We should all seek him for ourselves and learn and grow in him.

I believe that anyone who accepts his call and seeks him with their whole heart and follows him to the best of their ability will be saved. God judges the heart and he knows those that are his.

2 Timothy 2
19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.

21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.

My understanding of Gods hatred towards the wicked is they haven't been cleansed by the blood of Christ. Everyone has sinned and fallen short of the glory of God so as sinners God cannot love us until we are justified by Christ, and even then God only loves us because we reflect the image of His Son.

There is nothing inherently good about man, that God should love him. He actually loves Himself through those who have been purchased by His Son. All other religions teach that man has some good in him, but the Bible tells us that we are totally depraved and God has to do everything necessary to save us.

Most Christian Churches also teach that we were born with a flicker of light, and we increase that light by doing good works. The Bible teaches us that we were born with no light and God has to impute the light of salvation into our souls by bringing us to repentance and giving us a saving faith to believe in the finished work of Christ.

The Bible is very clear that God predestined His elect for salvation and it's not a matter of personal choice to believe or reject the Gospel. Christ even said "you are of your father the Devil, for if you were of my father you would do the works of My Father" so this suggests that people are either born of God or the Devil.

After reading your reply, I'm unable to conclude what you believe about salvation. On the one hand you say that someone who "follows Him to the best of their ability will be saved" then you say "the Lord knoweth them that are His".

My question is, how is one saved? does God elect to save him or is he saved by following Christ to the best of his ability. I'm not trying to force you to choose between the teaching of Calvin and Arminius, I'm just trying to find out what you believe the Bible says about how a person is saved.

Do you believe salvation comes down to a personal choice to either believe or reject the Gospel, or do you believe a person is saved by God drawing them to Himself and making them see themselves as a sinner who needs to repent and trust in the finished work of Jesus for the forgiveness of their sins.

If you are saying that a person can lose their salvation by being deceived, I would have to disagree with you. I believe God chose to save a certain number of people and no amount of deception will cause them to be lost.

God deliberately makes His sheep appear dumb to the highly intelligent reprobate, but the sheep are actually super intelligent but the blind reprobate can't see that because their foolish hearts are darkened.

The world looks at people like Einstein as really special and they are highly respected by blind fools. The real smart people are those who appear simple and even dumb to the world, they will put to shame all of those smarties. The dumb sheep will be enjoying eternal paradise while the smarties will be burning in hell forever, so that shows who the real dummies are.

First, the word “agape” that was translated to “love” is not an affectionate love, It’s more like a dutiful dedication, to provide the needs for. It’s more like how a good boss would provide for his staff. Before when people used animals as beasts of burden, the owner would agape the ox. Perhaps better understood like a dog trained for service. When the dog aims to please the master, more “love” is given. We are like bad dogs at the pound destined for destruction. Then someone who loves dogs, walks through seeking to save some. Although this individual loves all dogs, as he calls to them, they ignore him, or growl at him, but one or maybe a few, run to him, and sit before him. They wish to follow him. So the man brings all of the dogs who submit to him home, because there are many rooms in his house and he wishes that none should perish. Once he has adopted them, he trains them and gives them a purpose and makes them part of his family. Even if they make a mistake and dig up the garden, or make a mess with the garbage, he doesn’t bring them back to the pound, he rebuked them and forgives them. If they ran away he would look for them, if something threatened them, he would protect them.

God came to earth because he likes our species. He wishes to save us all, but not all want to be saved. We have to choose to submit to Him. Then he adopts us and takes us home.

You misinterpreted what predestination is. Some people God specifically chooses for tasks, like Moses, the prophets, the apostles and Mary. These people are justified and glorified. They perform miracles. The rest of us make a choice.

That is my interpretation, of a “social or moral” love, defined by Strongs. It could be better defined benevolence, than what we collectively label love.

you really missed what I said, eh?

slayer has been creating threads about how much God hates sinners and he has said he looks forward to sinners being punished

everyone has an opinion and then we have what scripture says about the opinions

do you know what God's attributes are? that's what I wrote about but I do not see where you responded to that?

yes the Bible does speak of all these emotions regarding God and some people think that gives them the right to hate etc...which is what I have been trying to get across in low these many threads

lobbing one verse to back up whatever point does not create doctrine

balance and understanding of the nature of God should stop someone saying I hate because God hates right in their tracks

some people get that and some people do not get that

the people who do get that understand that God is holy and righteous in all He does...including His anger...and some people get pretty indignant (I don't mean you...at least I hope that is not you) when I say that

emotions, human emotions, are often like a see saw and sometimes we do not need much to set them off

God is not like us. He is longsuffering and willing to forgive and not willing that anyone should perish (that is scripture)

when I read nonsense like 'I can't wait for the sinners to get what's coming'...I hurt for God's sake because that is not what He is about at all

if you go back and read my posts in response to slayer, hopefully you would see that has been my point all along

we should not allow emotions to take the place of truth or knowledge and yet some people appear to be doing just that by saying if Jesus can whip people so can I

God help us, really, if that is our understanding of God's nature

I'll say it again

the Bible never says God is anger, or hate, or vengeance

it does say that God is love...THEREFORE...all that He does, He does FROM THAT PERFECT HOLY LOVE

can anyone truly say that when they are angry or feeling hate or desire to get even that they do so from perfect and holy love?

I'll let you think about that. I know what I think

My bible doesn't say the man went to the pound and called the dogs and some dogs responded. My Bible says that the man chose the dogs before he went to the pound, and when he arrived the dogs miraculously recognized him as the new owner and ran to him.

The bible says God choose us before the foundations of the world, why do all of you Arminians miss this big elephant in the room???
