you are parroting

who do you follow?

we've heard everything you say multiple times

again, in my case I am not a cessationist..I am sure you must know what that means since you are obviously not either

but I won't bore you with the failures of charasmatics, pentecostals, new apostolic revelation folks or word of faith adherents who are always telling us what future event is going to unfold and have no apology or are even slightly embarrassed when it does not happen

I've seen them all in my travels...thankfully I have also seen what is real
More toxic behavior

all because several people told him to be careful about personal interpretations

and cautioned against interpreting everything in a way that suggests extra revelatory interpretations

this is one of the plagues in NAR and WOF

and you cannot point it out or else rage will follow

I am sure you love the lord
It your brother you can't stand
You are aware you can disagree peaceably with someone without resorting to ad hominem attacks? You're not really in a position to question his love for others. Not one of us are perfect here and I sure no-one would admit to be. But his relationship with God is between him and God, not your place to judge.

Yes i have greens interlinear.
It checks out just fine. Says what the translators say it says. No conflict
you don't understand what i am telling you. what does the Greek say? what is the tense of the words 'bound' and 'loosed' in the original language?

there is a reason for example HCSB has this:

I assure you: Whatever you bind on earth is already bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth is already loosed in heaven.

Btw P.H.
Tie in vs 19.
Read vs 18 and 19 together.
It is talking about authority.
As in authority over the devil etc.
don't leave out verse 20. :)

you are aware that 2 may agree what they want the Lord to do and it still not be done?
why not?

Same as salvation in the sense there are conditions.
Conditions are a given

Pushing back on her toxicity is just that.
Her issues with me should not be a platform for chiding me for what she is doing. (POT <> KETTLE)
You Giving her a pass is only embolding her.
Stop acting like it doesn't exist.

will this is just made up nonsense

my issue with you is not with you. my issue is with people using scripture in ways that indicate they may believe that when they call God comes running

I know that applies to certain groups and I asked at least 3 times I think where you were taught what you are stating...as you said to me at one point...some people think...so I asked who the some people were

oh I know I stepped on your toes and that is how people react when their pet interpretations are questionned

none of that has anything to do with you personally, but the same beliefs that have passed through this forum many times and are either WOF, NAR or possibly charasmatic (hard to tell their are so many offshoots)

irregardless, ad hominem attacks, which you applied against me, say more about the person using that false narrative than anyone they think they are 'getting even'

so stop hiding behind what you think is your virtue here, because I would not care who posted the things your op is about, my replies would be the same

some of your comments about members of this forum in general, are personal in nature and not actually indicative of the wonderful life you say you have

honestly? most of us have heard it all before

I don't care about disagreements....it's your personal narrative that includes people on this thread and just members of this forum in general

and one more time because you do not seem to get it...there is nothing personal here. it's the nature of forum dialogue and no reason for you to slur others or boo hoo that you are attacked

maybe grow up a little and just try and respond like someone who is convinced of what they believe and not respond in a manner that suggests you cannot be questionned or disagreed with

I have no feelings of any sort towards you other than I disagree with 'using' the word like you do and that is not a feeling either

I don't care to respond to you but I am responding now because of the false narrative you are trying to create

if v. 20's not there, for example..

interesting too "if agree" -- which implies that the possibility of disagreement.

let me help you out:

Capture.JPG

'shall' is future indicative middle.
both '
bound' and 'loosed' are perfect passive participle.

your homework is now to find out what that means :)

does the Berean Literal Bible have it right?

Truly I say to you, whatever you shall bind on earth shall have been bound in heaven, and whatever you shall loose on the earth shall have been loosed in heaven.
does the Aramaic Bible in Plain English have it right?

And truly I say to you, everything whatsoever you will bind in the earth will have been bound in Heaven, and anything that you will release in the earth will have been released in Heaven.

there's a reason that there is a collection of English translations that read this way.
this is the way i quoted it back a few pages ago, and @Absolutely you replied saying what i'd said isn't how the Bible reads. i'm defending what i said - because i believe this reflects the wording of what Christ actually said better. the alternative is something like the CEB version:

I promise you God in heaven will allow whatever you allow on earth, but God will not allow anything you don't allow.
think about how that's worded. what it implies about subordination of will. does this seem right? is God's will subordinate to the apostles or is theirs subordinate to Him?
what does it mean to be "
gathered in His name", exactly?

;)

The word of God never returns void<----this word means of none effect....it always accomplishes something...for example....let us ponder the message of salvation and a lost man...

Lost man "A" hears the word of God on salvation and the following results take place...

a. He is convicted and saved
b. He is convicted, rejects and is more accountable
c. He simple rejects it as a fable and is more accountable
etc...

God's word is NEVER "without effect" it always accomplishes something according to his will.

maybe in your Bible.. i am well aware that most English translations have this (Mt 18:18) wrong. go look up the tense of the words in Greek: that's why i'm telling you now.
Sorry, posthuman, but you are mistaken. The KJV has rendered this verse correctly, as the interlinear literal translation shows:

ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν, ὅσα ἐὰν δήσητε ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς, ἔσται δεδεμένα ἐν τῷ οὐρανῷ· καὶ ὅσα ἐὰν λύσητε ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς, ἔσται λελυμένα ἐν τῷ οὐρανῷ.

Truly I say to you, how many if you shall bind on the earth will be bound in heaven, and how many if you shall loose on the earth, will be loosed in heaven.

King James Bible (idiomatic)
Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

My thought of this verse has always been whatever God promises to us through His written Word or through the prophetic voice, we wait expecting for the outcome. His word in our mouth goes into the heavenlies and it accomplishes the promise.

But, I enjoyed what He has given to others.

I remember when he showed me that in the op, his word spoken back to heaven. So poweful
