1 John 1:8-9-10, If we say we have no sin,we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us, if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleans us from all unrighteousness, if we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar and his word is not in us.
I have sin, but I don't intentionally commit sin.

If I am hearing you right, you think that you never have a reason to repent Is that right?
I have repented. If I tell my husband something and I was wrong of course I have to tell him I'm sorry.

All of our sins, if we are children of God, born of the Spirit, are covered under grace no matter whether we think it or do it.
1 john 3:9 No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God's seed remains in them; they cannot go on sinning, because they have been born of God.

Where did you learn that you can keep sinning?

If you read Rom 7 about Paul's conflict, what is your interpretation of those verses?
Can you give me your interpretation of John 6:37-38?
F...,

6:37.... All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.

When we properly repent of our sins thereby acknowledging G-d as our Creator...our name is entered into The Lamb's Book of Life...giving Christ full authority and control of that soul ..for judgment.

38 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.

Through out scriptures Christ displays His devoted servitude and commitment of His relationship to His, your and my Father. This is symbolic.

If you are suggesting that a repented person cannot commit a sin...you are wrong. No one becomes perfect upon repentance.

Remember the Lord's prayer includes....forgive us of our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.....
That is there for continuous request for forgiveness as we occasionally sin.

Pjhattison I respect you and love chatting with you however I have to ask What you mean exactly when you say not to intentionally sin and that we are to not sin anymore? I mean if you are saying that one can not intentionally sin at all then I would have to politely disagree or perhaps you mean to strive not to intentionally sin?

You have to learn to fear God. Let me tell you why I fear God. If I keep intentionally sinning , and died today, I would go to hell. Because God would be unable to except me, because he can't. He is clean without spot or wrinkle. I know that he loves me. If I went to hell it would be my fault. Light cancels darkness. He would not be able to except me. That is a scary thought.
So if I have to stop committing sin so be it. But I can't turn off this mind from thinking stupid stuff sometimes. That is covered under grace. That is what Paul was talking about.

I believe that conclusion is wrong.
If that were the case we could commit a sin... be in a car accident before repentance and would be lost.
Consider this common sense conclusion....if we have a pattern of asking G-d for forgiveness on a regular basis....and that should happen...I have no concern that I would be forgiven because He knows that is my pattern.. As soon as I recognize I have sinned...I immediately request forgiveness.

G-d does not want to have designed ways to cause us to fail. Because, scripture tells us that it is His desire that no one is lost.

I will try to give you an example: If I was cheating on my husband every once in a while, and I ask for forgiveness each time. I can keep from doing that. That is intentional sin. But if I was at a store and I glanced over at a man and thought to myself wow he is gorgeous, but kept on walking. That one was in my mind. Still not good, but this one will not send me to hell if I died today. But the other one would because it's something that I choose to do, and know very well that it is wrong.

What does this mean to you.
John 8:11 “No one, sir,” she said. “Then neither do I condemn you,” Jesus declared. “Go now and leave your life of sin.”
He didn't say you may keep sinning, but just always pray for forgiveness each time.

I am not encouraging anyone to continue sinning or anything but as for your way of thinking I think you may have the wrong idea. It is good to fear the lord yes but to fear him for being hell bound? If say you intentionally sinned and then died and went to hell then wouldn't that mean Jesus's blood was not sufficient?

I want to tell you an experience I had with him one day when I was brand new to salvation. See sometimes God and I have these very powerful and intimate moments together I sometimes would go into my room turn off the lights and just lay there to be still and know him, well one day I walked into my room and laid down to express my affection to him speaking to him with the voice of my heart because no words or tongue could begin to express the depth of what my heart was speaking to him. in that moment I had a vision in which I saw the treasure I was and am still after- his heart. in this vision I endearingly branded the word mine on it and at the same time on my forehead I saw him write the same word. But this word mine that he wrote with the utmost love and affection was one for eternity I could feel how I was claimed without condition.

You see when he marks us as his he does not mark us conditionally, no matter how many times we screw up or fall down we are his he has branded our hearts as his own.

How do we get rid of intentional sin?
How do we get rid of unintentional sin?

Oh I see. I once knew a man who would do whatever he pleased because he said he was covered by God's grace, I think this is you mean right? I admit I am a sinner I sin more than I would like to admit and often times I despise myself and beat myself up for it but to do so and take advantage of his grace? I could never do that I hate and despise everything about me that isn't of him as it is and I want so badly just to be pure clean and holy but even so I sin no matter how hard I try.

I am grateful for his love and grace and for people who would intentionally sin because they are under grace obviously are not really grateful for it otherwise they would never take advantage of it

Unintentional sin you can't get rid of, things will keep popping into your head. Depending on what the sin is. You have to find a solution. Example: I have a male friend that had a problem with watching porn. His solution was to find a woman and get married. He did. Problem solved.

What you do is try to find a solution to replace the sinful act. Ask God to help you and he will. I have just gotten really serious maybe for about two years. So I don't condemn anyone I just know what's true. I would have gone to hell about 3 years ago. So I know how it is.

I always wondered how you were supposed to fear Him but think of Him also as a loving father that we should commune with and not e afraid/intimidated to tell anything to...

They say that you often treat God like you felt your parents treated you and i actually SEE this..both my parents were strict diciplinarians and even though the loved God..they used His "reference" more when i was naughty so i grew up thinking that God was just another disciplinarian ..i still catch myself thinking this in some situations. And that ive DONE things and always getting a consiquence when its probably not that at all..hard to understand i guess but to fear someone and then feel ok to have an intimate relationship with someone that can be intimidating is a fine line for me.
GODly fear,GOD Is a consuming fire, nothing hidden will remain hidden In HIS presence.

The devil believes and trembles.
