I had nothing to do with you turning God into a liar and loser; you did that all on your own:censored::p
When you make claims you need to own them, you quoted scripture and tried to make it say that God desires to save everyone. But the Bible is very clear that God only saves His elect, the rest are all damned, you can't ignore half of the Bible and push your agenda by taking verses out of their intended context.

You'd have to ignore a lot of Scripture to believe that.

The letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

The Pharisees sought the Scripture, but were unwilling to come Him.

We are transformed from glory to glory. His glory. Looking at Him sets us free.

Holy Spirit is our Teacher. And when Jesus said My Sheep hear My Voice. Which Bible did they have?

Which Bible did Paul encounter Jesus through? Which Bible were Moses, Abraham, etc lead by?

Why does the Bible itself explicitly say, those who are lead by the Spirit are sons of God?

He never contradicts Himself, but He is the LIVING God. And He does speak to His children. Paul explains this, "Spiritual truths are only discerned by spiritual men."
Jesus also said, blessed are they that believe having never seen or heard Him speak. His word it alive and eternal, it speaks to us today just as powerfully as it did to all the previous generations.

God's Word is a living thing, He has given one message to mankind and that message is alive and powerful. He did speak directly to some men, He gave them a special mission but God completed the mission on the cross and He ceased speaking when Jesus said "it is finished".

We will never fully understand what God has already said, one lifetime is not enough to unpack everything so we don't need to hear anymore. His Word applies to everybody's life, no matter what stage of their life journey they are at. The problem we all have is disobedience, none of us obey His Word and that's why we suffer loss.

Yes, I wonder what is worse turning God into a morally ambiguous, liar and loser or not being even being aware that that is the God they have created.o_O

NIV = 0 Bible results for “deserve hell.”

NKJV = 0 Bible results for “deserve hell.”

YLT = 0 Bible results for “deserve hell.”

ESV = 0 Bible results for “deserve hell.”

NASB = 0 Bible results for “deserve hell.”

I could go on, but why don't you try this on for size instead? It is Biblical, unlike other things you have been spouting off about:

Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

James 1:15
Then when lust has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and when sin is accomplished, it brings forth death.

Romans 7:13
Therefore did that which is good become a cause of death for me? May it never be! Rather it was sin, in order that it might be shown to be sin by effecting my death through that which is good, so that through the commandment sin would become utterly sinful.

Genesis 2:17
but from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat from it you will surely die."

Romans 5:12
Therefore, just as through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men, because all sinned--

Romans 5:17
For if by the transgression of the one, death reigned through the one, much more those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.

Romans 6:16
Do you not know that when you present yourselves to someone as slaves for obedience, you are slaves of the one whom you obey, either of sin resulting in death, or of obedience resulting in righteousness?

Romans 7:5
For while we were in the flesh, the sinful passions, which were aroused by the Law, were at work in the members of our body to bear fruit for death.

Romans 7:11
for sin, taking an opportunity through the commandment, deceived me and through it killed me.

Romans 6:21
Therefore what benefit were you then deriving from the things of which you are now ashamed? For the outcome of those things is death.

Proverbs 14:12
There is a way which seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death.

Proverbs 16:25
There is a way which seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death.

Romans 7:24
Wretched man that I am! Who will set me free from the body of this death?
Hell is death, those in hell are always dying. They feel the sensation of dying for eternity, while the scream in super hot flames. You need to study the context death is spoken in, this is why the Catholic Church banned the Bible from ordinary sheep. They all go away and start false religions based on their perverted understanding of the scriptures.

God has ordained Shepherds to lead us sheep, the problem is when sheep like you appoint yourself as a Shepherd. You need to find a Shepherd to lead you and explain the scriptures to you, because you are a lost rouge sheep and the hungry lion will find you and devour you.

Only those who have the Holy Spirit will understand the scriptures, the Word of God is foolishness to those who are perishing. You can always tell who the true believers are by the way they treat Gods Word, true believes allow the Bible to interpret itself. False Christians add their own perverted view to scripture.

Catholic Church banned the Bible from ordinary sheep.

Yes that had extraordinarily positive results lets see...

-a system of indulgences, people had to pay to get to heaven
-positions in the church based on wealth and power
-priests that were there for status and prestige
-the lay people held bondage by a system of fear
-vows of celibacy, so many if not most priest had mistresses and illegitimate children
-the church as the dispenser of God's grace through a system of sacraments
-no gospel, works based salvation
-self flagellation to become righteousness
etc., etc., etc.,

This makes no sense. You can do better then this, Who said I can work out Gods motives. I can read his character. And see how and who he is by lookin gat his word and seeing what Christ did (Since christ represents him) And he tells us what his motives are. (LOVE)
It's actually sinful to speak about God in those terms, I suggest you repent and confess your sins lets ye be the "R" word.
Lol. Ok, So you can not refute what I said, all you can do is throw a strawman around and judge me.. I see your no different. Thanks for provingn this. If it makes you fell better, then I guess its ok.. But if you think it is going to turn anyone to your way of thinking, Well. You should think again.
I don't think you understood what I said, I was saying that we cannot understand why God does what He does. We know He loves some people and hates others, I'm saying we don't know why He hates some and loves others. He is a mysterious God, He hasn't revealed everything about Himself.

All we know is what he has revealed, but there's a lot we will never understand and people accuse God of all kinds of evil because they don't understand Him. He commanded us to love Him unconditionally and not to try to work Him out and judge Him

I would suggest you were never a true believer, a true believer never falls away. He remains faithful until the end.
Still being the provocateur I see.

I believe you have admitted here on the BDF to falling away to a life of sin for a while..... so what is your stance your were not a believer.

No need for the word true, one either is a believer or is not.

Not Biblical? Here's just one of MANY verses that say that God doesn't want ANY to parish..etc

2 Peter 3:9 New International Version (NIV)
9 The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise,as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
New International Version (NIV)

Isaiah 6:8 New International Version (NIV)
8 Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?”

And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”

More research..

"*God spoke three times, audibly, in the New Testament. The first was at Jesus' baptism, when God spoke audibly, aloud, to man, "And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."Feb 6, 2012"

However..I AM VERY interested in the scripture that says God doesn't speak to us anymore ..a lot of people profess they have and what they hear is NOT demonic..lol
Jesus said, "it is finished" on the cross and God didn't need to speak anymore. Christ returned to His disciples after his resurrection and He told John what to write in the book of revelation and that was the end of Gods communication with mankind. He has not spoken a word to us since and there's no need to, His Word is alive and just as powerful today as it ever was.

As for your first point, I rebuke you for trying to make my God look like a cruel tyrant. God has every right to choose some for salvation and leave others in their sin. The bible is clear that predestination and election are true, this free choice movement is straight from the pits of hell. It's the doctrine of Demons.

Maybe God hasn't spoken to you cause you seemingly refuse to listen?

I just posted Bible verses for you..am waiting for you to post scripture saying that God no longer talks to people in prayer etc...
You need to find yourself a Shepherd to lead you and teach you what the scriptures mean. When Satan finds a lost rouge sheep, He devours it like a hungry lion. This is why we need Shepherds to protect us, you should never attempt to interpret the Bible in a private, shallow way.

God has ordained Shepherds to lead us dumb sheep and tell us what the Bible says, the problem we see today is we have lost sheep roaming around professing themselves to be wise they became fools.

@Slayer..

Here's another

Kings 19:11-13 King James Version (KJV)
11 And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the Lord. And, behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the Lord; but the Lord was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the Lord was not in the earthquake:

12 And after the earthquake a fire; but the Lord was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.

13 And it was so, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle, and went out, and stood in the entering in of the cave. And, behold, there came a voice unto him, and said, What doest thou here, Elijah.."
May I remind you that it is the 21st century, God stopped speaking to us 2000 years ago. Please don't quote anymore scriptures, they don't apply to us in the 21st century.

In your Post #2,495 you stated:

"My God doesn’t punish people for something they had no say in"

In your Post #26 you stated:

"We believe God created certain people without the ability to come to a saving knowledge of God and respond by believing in the Gospel."

If your "God doesn't punish people for something they had no say in"

and

your "God created certain people without the ability to come to a saving knowledge of God and respond by believing in the Gospel"

they cannot "deserve hell" because they were "created without the ability" so your "God doesn't punish" them.

Do you even think before you click the "Post reply" link?
My God doesn't create the reprobate with the ability to believe the Gospel, but He doesn't cause them to sin. They sin because they choose to sin, so they must pay the penalty for their sin. Just because they don't have the ability to believe, doesn't mean they have to sin. They choose to sin in rebellion so they deserve to be punished, it's very simple o_O

No instruction? Seriously?

James 1:12 encourages us to remain steadfast in our faith as we persevere in our trials and hold fast to our faith in Christ even when an enticement is held before us.

Do you even think before you click the "Post reply" link?
No, Christ will not lose any of those His Father gave Him before He made the world. So that verse is an observation, Gods people are already walking in faith. They are safe and there's no chance of being lost

What is the matter did I strike a nerve?

At least a cruel tyrant is consistent, he strikes down those who oppose him, your God is morally ambiguous, not even trustworthy since He has favourites like a bad teacher.

The selection is based on the whims and fancy of a sometimes love sometimes hate God.

You construct a false God, in contradiction to His character and then to stave off criticism of the faulty depiction by saying God has every right to be this way.

The truth is that is not God, He does not select only some for salvation.

We know God loved the world. He hates no one, He loves some less (like Esau) as any relationship would cause (loving children more) but he hates no one.

They choose to sin in rebellion
In rebellion to what???

According to your dogma, they're doing exactly what God created them to do so they're more faithful to their "calling" and "election" than you are.

Since (according to your dogma) they are doing exactly as God created them, and you just can't seem to stop sinning (even though God has given you the means to do so), maybe you're the one headed to the lake of fire ...

So that verse is an observation
No, the verse is not merely "an observation"

The verse is a statement of encouragement to those who face temptation.

You know, like you when you gaze at scantily clad women and lust after them in your heart.

Romans 6:21 asks a very pertinent question:

What fruit had ye then in those things whereof you are now ashamed?

Some believers are able to endure temptation as the Holy Spirit brings to their memory verses such as James 1:12 and they hold fast to God's promise.

It appears that you, on the other hand, prefer to revel in those things whereof you are now ashamed rather than focus on James 1:12. You won't even ask your pastor to explain it to you so you can overcome temptation. smh …
