What I said, was that ANY TIME YOU THINK YOU FOUND A CONTRADICTION, YOU PERSONALLY HAVE MADE AN ERROR IN INTERPRETATION OF ONE OR BOTH VERSES. YOU HAVE TO SEARCH FOR AN ALTERNATIVE INTERPRETATION THAT FITS BOTH VERSES.
I think that our memory is not perfect, and that can lead to problem
we can both pray with this desire in mind: I want to make sure to not forget what I learn or know, and have growing faith and assurance as well

no matter how bad our memory is, may we always remember this: salvation is the root that leads to faith and spiritual fruits (ie: love)

Sounds to me like man struggling in his own mind what can ONLY be known by the Holy Spirit - The Teacher.

No need to struggle in vain over God's Word - just ask The Teacher. :love:

Yes, I know there's a lot of suffering right now on this Earth, BUT God has an incredible plan and is doing a NEW thing - demolition is tough, rough, and a freakin mess! LOL!

This is off subject, I know. So it will be brief. Does anyone else find that posting here late at night, gets you brain going to make it difficult to fall asleep? I know my mind does, but I found a solution. I have found a Mahjong game uses a different side of my brain, so I use it to unwind my brain, and it works. You are right VCO, IF you are one of HIS SHEEP. His sheep follow him and do what he tells them to do, and as long as they do that, they are safely in his hands. But, if they do not, then they may get eaten by a wolf. It is the sheeps choice.

Pefect scriptures TT, thanks. Let us rejoice in the Lord, that is one of many things we can agree on. That is what connects Christians to Christians, even though our beliefs about Jesus are different, we all know that although we have not seen him, we love him, and even though we do not see him now, we believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy.

Great point backed up by a great scripture.

NO where does the bible teach that LOVE on our part is part of salvation....Love is a spiritual gift and a process of growth and maturity AFTER one has been saved.......

As a matter of fact---> It is NOT that WE LOVED HIM, but that HE LOVED US and GAVE HIMSELF for US.........and JESUS said what about himself....???

If God first loved us, which I agree with, do you think God expects us to return our love to Him? But not only to Him, but to his other children, and in fact all the people of the earth? So God gives you His love, and you in turn give Him and others your love. All is well.

Yes, Jesus IS good and He IS God. When Jesus asked the man WHY do you call Me good? Jesus was NEVER saying that He (Jesus) was not good. On the contrary, Jesus was trying to open the man's eyes to the fact that Jesus IS the visible God and that is WHY Jesus is GOOD because He IS God. :)(y)

On the subject of love.............

No, I do not think God expects us to return His love with our love (that kinda sounds like a "control freak." lol!) - I think God deeply desires us to return His love with our love. Love cannot be controlled or manipulated - it must be freely given and freely received - no strings, no expectations.

Yes, we are to freely love God, others and ourselves with no conditions - just like God loves us and all people - saved and unsaved.

They were NEVER BORN AGAIN, IF THEY WENT OUT.
Verse 29 says: 29 If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.

So again, there is the sign that you are born-again. Righteousness. You can spot them a mile away.

You are missing the point....NO one can LOVE GOD until AFTER they have been BORN again from above by the Spirit......

Wrong again......you teach a completely different gospel than he does.....there is no MEETING place when God said he places our sins as far as the east is from the west....wake up.....

Anyone who "adds works", to our eternal salvation in any way shape or form is pushing a false gospel.

I would like to clarify something about "expectations." Although love is freely given and received, covenants are agreements with expectations. So, because God loves us and we love Him, we enter into covenant with each other and part of that covenant is that we love all people - saved and unsaved.
