Sorry...did not get past your out of context use of and quote of Malachi, which was 7 assertions made against the JEWS, and has no bearing on the New Covenant salvation found in JESUS......

Gotta love those who google a word found in a verse and then hang a belief on scripture to prove an erroneous point...........

Would you appreciate it if I POST the whole chapter so that you can understand the scripture in context? Or do I need to be a scholar?

Here's what the bible says:

... but God has revealed it to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the man’s spirit within him? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. We have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us. This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words. The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned. The spiritual man makes judgments about all things, but he himself is not subject to any man’s judgment: “For who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct him?” But we have the mind of Christ. 1 Corinthians 2:10-16

It kinda Nullifies the Charismatic movement idea that we are to Edify SELF, don't it?

short lesson on logic

the syllogism for the saved

Premise 1: if the Son in you serving as a foundation, then you have a strong foundation (eternal security)
Premise 2: if you have the Son, then the Son in you serving as a foundation
Premise 3: if you are saved, then you have the Son in you (backed up by scripture)
Therefore, if you are saved, then you have a strong foundation (eternal security)

by modus pollen
if you are saved, then you have a strong foundation (eternal security)
you are saved
Therefore, you have a strong foundation (eternal security)

^this is logic,

fear in this context is clearly illogical
may perfect love cast out fear

You said;
"Nowhere in the bible does it say that obedience is required for salvation."

God said:

“You have said harsh things against me,” says the Lord. “Yet you ask, ‘What have we said against you?’ “You have said, ‘It is futile to serve God. What did we gain by CARRYING OUT HIS REQUIREMENTS and going about like mourners before the Lord Almighty? But now we call the arrogant blessed. Certainly the evildoers prosper, and even those who challenge God escape.’” Then those who feared the Lord talked with each other, and the Lord listened and heard. A scroll of remembrance was written in his presence concerning those who feared the Lord and honored his name. “They will be mine,” says the Lord Almighty, “in the day when I make up my treasured possession. I WILL SPARE THEM, just as in compassion a man spares his son who serves him. And you will again see the distinction between the righteous and the wicked, between those who serve God and those who do not. Malachi 3:13-18

The Lord Jesus said;

“Why do you ask me about what is good?” Jesus replied. “There is only One who is good. If you want to enter life, obey the commandments.”Matthew 19:17

Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him.” Jesus replied, “If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. He who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me. John 14:21,23-24

The Apostle Paul said:

Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God’s wrath comes on those who are disobedient.Ephesians 5:6

In Romans 6:16-22 Paul tells us that obedience leads to righteous that leads to holiness and the result is eternal life.

John said;

And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love. 2 John 1:6

John the baptist said;

the ax is already at the root of the trees, and every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire.” Luke 3:9

Am I a Catholic? No.
I fellowship with the G12 born again congregation and I learned these things from the WORD of God.

This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers. And this is his command: to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded us. Those who obey his commands live in him, and he in them. And this is how we know that he lives in us: We know it by the Spirit he gave us. 1 John 3:16,23-24

But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, Philippians 3:20

..."OUR SALVATION IS NEARER NOW THAN WHEN WE FIRST BELIEVED"

In Romans 6:16-22 Paul tells us that obedience leads to righteous that leads to holiness and the result is eternal life.
yes, and prefaced by this:

For we know that our old self was crucified with Him so that the body ruled by sin might be rendered powerless, that we should no longer be slaves to sin — because anyone who has died has been set free from sin.
(Romans 6:6-7)

concluding with this:

But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
(Romans 6:22-23)

eternal life is a gift, not a wage - and we have already become slaves to righteousness through the cross. he isn't saying '
make yourselves slaves of righteousness' in order to receive the wages of obedience any more than he is saying 'make yourselves dead' -- he says 'consider yourselves dead' because you have died in Him, and bring your bodies under control, aligning them with the spirit He has given us. he says, you are now slaves of righteousness from the heart.

So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God’s law, but in the flesh a slave to the law of sin.
(Romans 7:25)

i think this is about living up to the wonderful, gracious gift He has given us - a righteousness not of ourselves but on the basis of faith - not about attaining a righteousness through works. He gives life; live it!
as this:

Get rid of the old yeast, so that you may be a new unleavened batch--as you really are. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed.
(1 Corinthians 5:7)

be "
as you really are"

it is to spur us to good works and a righteous life, not by fear, but love; not by law and works, but by spirit and truth :)
for this i am always thankful and rejoicing within myself -- am i wrong?
should i be always anxious and fretting, unsure?

The free gift is eternal life IN Jesus. We should be IN Christ Jesus to get eternal life.

...what good thing must I do to get eternal life?”

17 “Why do you ask me about what is good?” Jesus replied. “There is only One who is good. If you want to ENTER LIFE, obey the commandments.” matthew 19:16-17

Jesus is the LIFE that we must ENTER (john 14:6) and if we want to be IN Jesus we must obey the commandments.

How would we know we are IN Jesus?

This is how we know we are in him: 6 Whoever claims to live in him must walk as Jesus did. (1 john 2:1-6)

The preceeding verses makes it clear that to WALK as Jesus did means OBEDIENCE TO HIS COMMANDMENTS.

Jesus is the author of eternal salvation for those who OBEY Him.

...and, once made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him hebrews 5:7-10

FAITH AND OBEDIENCE ARE BOTH ESSENTIAL TO SALVATION.

...And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.hebrews 11:6

...As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead. james 2:26

Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are IN Christ Jesus, Romans 8:1

Doxology

Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out! “Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counselor?” “Who has ever given to God, that God should repay him?” For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen.

God bless brother.

Why don't you name all the "religious traditions" and "doctrines of the world" that I "allegedly" promote that you condemn me for. :unsure:

The Word of God does not teach your perverted gospel of salvation by "grace plus law, faith plus works" (Galatians 1:6-9) but the Word of God does teach salvation by grace through faith, not works. (Ephesians 2:8,9) It's really simple! The gospel is the "good news" of the death, burial and resurrection of Christ (1 Corinthians 15:1-4) and is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that BELIEVES.. (Romans 1:16). To "believe" the gospel is to trust in the death, burial and resurrection of Christ as the ALL-sufficient means of our salvation. (y)
I don't condemn your peaching, the Word of God does.

The Law and Prophets is not the "Old Covenant". The Word of God teaches that it was the Priesthood and the "LAW" regarding who would partake in the Priesthood, which was changed. According to the Christ, God preserves His Laws in the New Covenant by writing them on the hearts of HIS People. It's in your bible.

Heb. 7:
11 If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron?
12 For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.
13 For he of whom these things are spoken pertaineth to another tribe, (Judah not Levi)of which no man gave attendance at the altar.
14 For it is evident that our Lord sprang out of Juda; of which tribe Moses spake nothing concerning priesthood.
15 And it is yet far more evident: for that after the similitude of Melchisedec there ariseth another priest,
16 Who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, (Appointed by corruptible men as the Priesthood Law commanded) but after the power of an endless life.

Mainstream Christianity, and by extension you, preach the "old covenant" the Word of God speaks of is all of God's Laws. I have pointed out in God's Word's where this is simply not true. But you are convinced otherwise. You preach your traditions, not what God's Word says regarding God's New Covenant.

Yes, you use some of God's Word, as did the deceiver with Eve, but refuse to consider "EVERY" Word of God.

I believe 100% in the wisdom, death, burial of the sinless human, Jesus the Christ, and His resurrection, and His ability to remove my sins so I am able to take up my flesh and "SERVE", with His Help, the Living God "acceptably with reverence and fear. The living God of the Bible Dan, not your religious franchise or another religious franchise.

This would mean, in my opinion, to trust HIS WORDS over the religions of the land. His definition of sin over yours. His Definition of "Faith" as shown by Abraham. His definition of what is HOLY and what is not.

To Trust and accept HIS definition of the "New Covenant", not religious mans.

I am not using my words, but have laid out God's Words in describing His New Covenant. I asked valid questions of you which you completely ignored. If you don't believe Jeremiah, you will not believe in the Christ, at least the Christ of the Bible. Why? Because I say so? No Dan, because HE said so.

Luke 16:
29 Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.

30 And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.

31 And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.

1 Cor. 15:
1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.

Rom. 2:
11 For there is no respect of persons with God.
12 For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law;
13 (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.

Not the Levitical priesthood ceremonial, sacrificial "Works of the Law" for the cleansing of sins, that was the "Old Covenant", but by the "Faith" of Abraham who was blessed "BECAUSE" He Trusted and believed in the Word of God enough to "DO" as He was instructed.

Good luck keeping that which deems you guilty......so....by the way...you have to keep ALL applicable laws and commandments 24/7/365 your whole life from birth to death....have you done that? NO....your guilty and condemned by that which you believe in your mind you keep.....it is obvious that you have no concept of the IMPUTED righteousness of CHRIST by FAITH WITHOUT the deeds/works of the LAW.......
