I didn't say that. The things written in Revelation about the Anti-Christ are referring to contemporary events occurring during the authors lifetime. The author is writing a book of encouragement for those churches living through those events. This included incorporating Gnostic imagery, elements of mystery religions and adaptions from the book of Daniel there's other apocalyptic texts from the same time with similar imagery, verses and themes that aren't included in the bible but non-the less echo similar sentiments. I don't doubt the author thought that the prophetic events about the 'end of the world' were going to happen - just like every apocalyptic cult throughout time has believed their own eschatology and have been utterly convinced of it. I also don't doubt they probably had some kind of vision - but that's not really remarkable considering human kinds affinity for visionary states of consciousness, all takes it a few of the right plants and you're communing with God/Gods, the universe, aliens etc...Obviously they were mistaken in thinking their vision of the future was coming to pass and it's a huge fallacy to read the book now in 2018 and assume that you're the intended recipient of that vision and that it's still on the table. The belief that Revelation holds some-kind of future prophecy is a relatively new theological development in the history of Christianity and really as this thread is titled a conspiracy theory...
ROTFL
There are 4 seperate Biblical views of eschatology. Yours is only oe of the four. I personally find it ridiculous since the antiChrist is foretold to come in the end times and not past tense. In prophecy many times there is a type of fulfillment coming before the real fulfillment.

I can prove that Donald Trump isn't the Antichrist . . . the Antichrist fails in the end. Trump only knows how to WIN! MAGA!!
I stand with you. There is hatred of Trump among the far leftwing progressives and those on this board are translating their political hatred into this anti Christian contempt for our president who all Christians are to accept as one placed by God over us and we are commanded to obey and pray for him.

Shame on you haters expressing this on a Christian site contrary to what the Bible commands us to do!!

You're assuming I think you even have a good reason to assume the bible is a literal narrative and not a currated colleciton of human works formulated overtime with particular theological flair added and redacted....
ROTFL
Obviously you are stating the atheist position. The question to you is how did the universe begin. Your assertion about the Bible being human works collected over time and added and redacted flies in the face of the thousands of copies of full documents and fragments of documents going back 3000 years. They are able to trace which documents are copied from previous copies because of copying errors that didn't change the meaning.. They create a tree and make it easy to have the original text be known by seeing the meaningless errors be cancelled out comparing the texts against each other.

One proof of the Bible being the word of God is prophecies that have been fulfilled. Tyre for example was prophecied to have wave after wave of armies going against it and in the end have fishermen dry their nets on the building blocks of the buildings being thrown into the sea. Tyre was attacked several times so they moved to the island by them. Alexander the Great come along and built a causeway to the island and proceeded to push the buildings into the sea. Currently fishermen dry their nets on those building blocks.

There are miraculous happenings that destroyed cities that archaeological digs verify. Sodom was destroyed by a pyroclastic (super hot) blast that turned the lower city into dust and sheared off the tops of the buildings of the upper part of the city. Jericho's massive inner wall fell outward covering the smooth ramp and smaller outer wall. The city was invaded, people killed and burned down. No valuables were taken taken and the freshly harvested grain was left in the bins. Exactly like the Bible stated about both cities. Miracles in both places proven by archaeological digs.

There are over 300 seperate prophecies that Jesus fulfilled.

Prophecies filfilled by Jesus.

He is destroying the world one day at a time.
What is worse -- Christians MISREPRESENTING others, or Trump doing his job (Q)

There is no question that Mr. Trump could have done better in some aspects of his presidency (especially in selecting the right people to serve under him) but to call him the Antichrist is TOTAL NONSENSE.

He is destroying the world one day at a time. Christians should at no time
support his evil decisions because is they do, they are complicit in ugly
reign of terror. He aligns himself with other dictators and monsters of this
world while he is more than willing to destroying any allies who are trying
to build a precious world. He is a monstrous liar, a cheat, a phoney, a con man
and the world's biggest charlatan. Christians need to immediately cease and
desist supporting this "evil one" by aiding him in his destructive ways.
It is obvious to the casual observer that you are posting your political views ranting idiocy about Trump contrary to the Bible telling us that we are supposed to be praying for and obey our leaders placed over us by God. Makes me wonder if you are a Christian?

[satire] CNN Criticizes President Trump For Not Taking Full Responsibility For World War II

Babylon Bee ^ | October 25, 2018 | Babylon Bee <THIS IS A HUMOROUS SATIRE SITE>

<p>WASHINGTON, D.C.—In a special report Thursday, CNN's Jim Acosta took President Trump to task for failing to take any responsibility for causing World War II.</p> <p>The president was criticized for not acknowledging that his rhetoric may have contributed to the conflict that spilled out across the globe in the late 1930s. While some historians acknowledge that there may have been other factors—like the Treaty of Versailles, the expansionist Japanese Empire, and a certain German fascist—a large swathe of liberal scholarship has now pinned the war squarely on Donald Trump.

Trump Criticized For Using US Military For Bizarre Purpose Of Defending Nation's Borders (Satire)

Babylon Bee ^ | 10/29/2018

WASHINGTON, D.C.—President Trump is under heavy criticism after announcing the deployment of thousands of troops to the United States-Mexico border, with critics slamming him for using the military for the bizarre purpose of defending the country. The Trump administration's decision to deploy the military for the nearly unheard-of purpose of defending US soil was widely panned by pundits. No one is sure where Trump got this strange idea that the military is supposed to be used to secure the nation's borders. "He must have read about it in an old document or something," said Sarah Sanders at this morning's White...

There are far leftwing progressives pushing some of these concepts. One post here was an extreme version labeled satire. The problem is some posters on this Christian site are going against the Bible teachings and posting despicable posts about Trump. The Bible tells us to obey those who God has placed over us and to pray for them. They are doing the opposite.

Trump is a leader. The GOP establishment that has been entrenched in Washington for years, getting fat and wealthy from their illicit deals are afraid of him and the people. The pond scum from the swamp are being drained and this election will weed a bunch of them out. Some flat out refused to run again because they knew the jig was up.

The Establishment are Rino's and are democrat-lites that are just as much in favor of globalism as the ones on the left.
