Actually, it has probably saved me from being banned.......because I have a tendency to rake those who make idiotic statements and or those who twist, embellish or lie about what I said over the coals and the few I have put on ignore had to be put there or I was going to say something that I would regret and or that would get me banned......most I ignore by just skipping over what they peddle.....a few however had to go to iggyville to save me from that sleepy little town along route 666 called Banville.......!

i actually did put someone on ignore, for a couple days. i felt really bad about it tho, and i always have been averse to doing that to anyone. what i realized, when i did, was that reading his posts was leaving me upset for a lot of my day - i was thinking all day, that's wrong, that's wrong, this is misapplied, this is ignorant, that does not logically follow, that's actually not an accurate quote, etc etc
so all day i was thinking about things that are wrong, instead of things that are right. in my head i'd be composing what i should say to rebuke him -- and at the same time knowing he'd heard all this before and totally rejects it, so what's the point? i became depressed over it, and bitter, and found a mean spirit rising up in me over it.
not cool.
so for a couple days i had this person ignored. and it was better, the cloud of rubbish that had settled in my head lifted. but then i was back to, you know, this is like a crutch. if i can't be of a right spirit with him off the ignore list, how weak is my faith! a good work is to pass over offense and to control my own tongue, and keep my mind set on what is good rather than what is evil. what good is it if i can only do that by insulating myself?
so i took him off ignore. now i have a completely empty ignore list again.

i know, i don't see this whole ignore list thing the same way many others do. and i'm not saying i'm right and y'all wrong about it, it's not like that. it is just how i personally see and feel about it. so i'm just recounting my experience, not trying to instruct anyone about how they should use or not use the functionality of it. it was good for me, for a couple days, to use it, but ultimately i would rather learn to live and have conversation without blocking anyone; i think in the end i will be better off even though a person or another may tempt me to stumble. if i fall, is Christ not faithful to lift me up again? and so i'll grow. and limp a bit lol

yeah remember Willie? if he had used ignore, he'd still be here. but he lost his temper with one or two people, and sinned with his mouth, and now we've got a brother we can't talk to here anymore.

i know i just wrote a long post about me not using ignore ever, if i can help it, but dude it sure is useful, and i'd rather keep all y'all around than not. because, love :)

Yeah I was surprised about Willy Wonka and a few others that went bye bye......at the end of the day i know that we will all not agree on everything based upon the dynamics of the word and the fact that each successive layer of truth to be uncovered is based upon growth and maturity.....and for sure i have no problem with those who disagree, but when they start embellishing what I say, twisting what I say, lying about what I say or accusing me of something I never said or implied.....I begin to have a real issue with it.......one other thing that bothers me is when MOTIVE is judged by words on a page.....the Marine in me wants to come out and play.....

Not that it matters what I think but I understand that. Most of the time I end up editing the things out before I post them. And Sometimes things need said.
But then in respect to that I know we need to be careful because there is only ONE who can judge righteously.

in principle i personally do not wish to ignore anyone.
but i would not say it's "juvenile" or fault anyone for using it, because in the end, what they are essentially doing is trying to keep their own mouths from sinning.

i pray we'll all reach the point where we can control ourselves without resorting to it. i want us all to walk in love, perfectly -- but which person here is never at fault? the scripture tells us to warn a divisive person a couple times and if they continue, don't have anything else to do with them. why? ain't it to spare ourselves from being tempted to sin by them? and in hope that by doing so, they may come to repentance themselves. 1 Cor, the dude in wretched sin. the apostle says, cut him off. 2 Cor, he repented, and the apostle says, don't treat him poorly, adding to his sorrow, welcome him back gladly. we ought to learn from this

I get that. But what I have seen here and else where is that most of the time the posters have already have reached the point of name calling and accusing. Most can't post without some type of innuendo that is scathing from the start. Sad really....and then in a rant to say "I am putting you on ignore"? Tis a bit juvenile. But in my own rant I should have not said so.

Amen! However it must be noted in their judgement they were experiencing the latter rain of the Holy Spirit. Their judgement was true and of Christ. Today some things are not as clear because the Church is not as it was.

well, i 'agreed' -- because like i wrote about, i feel like i am better off if i'm able to look past someone without using tech to block them. actually i thought about it, what you're saying now, and almost changed it to 'useful' then thought, nah, i'll just leave it.
then i wrote that i wouldn't use the vocabulary he used.

but you are totally right, post is all over the lace and scatterbrained :)

hey if you guys see me carrying on and on when i should really just ignore someone i will appreciate it if you let me know. even if i only appreciate it in hindsight because i can be really stubborn lol
