Yes preacher and that means pisteuos' Christ is; "not that counterfeit", only a little bit. wow!
These guys are everywhere online. Thankfully you rarely see them in church with this nonsense!

Well, they probably don't even go to church.

I know several on here who don't go and refuse to go, who mock church, but they have all the theological insight, hate the Bride but "love" Christ. Uh-huh. That dog won't hunt.

They are in for a rude awakening.

Let's just take the word pisteuo .

The Strongs says : pisteuo means NOT just to believe .

The Vines : pisteuo means a personal surrender to Him and a life inspired by such surrender . Producing a full acknowledgement of God's revelation of truth .

Why do you all reject these Greek dictionarys definition of pisteuo , and then call me a heretic ?

Please explain ?

I realize what I'm sharing here is upsetting to people . And I don't like being agressive in trying to share the evidence . But this is the truth ! The Greek word pisteuo could not be correctly translated into the English language , because the English language doesn't have a corresponding verb to the noun Faith like the Greek does .

This has paved the way to a false path that has most of the called out ones deceptively on .

Ask questions , but ask the right questions .

And they scatter like flies .
No not like flys . More like sheep from a wolf . Many here know what you are peddling.
Works salvation and don’t buy it. We are saved by faith through Grace .
Oh by the way flys are attracted to what you put forth. Not scattered.

Actually this is a problem. Thinking we begin in the spirit (after conversion) and spend a lifetime trying to perfect (of finish accomplish, bring to a conclusion) that conversion so it is complete. Paul had words about people who think this way He called them foolish galations. I pray you are not one of them, I pray you find out when Jesus said we HAVE eternal life, He meant it, When he said we will NEVER DIE, and BE RISEN, and NEVER BE LOST, again, he meant it.

My Faith is in God. Not myself. I pray you fing this faith in you. And stop tryign to rely on your own ability to perfect the salvation you think God gave you

I can see I am going to really enjoy this board !

No, we do not spend a lifetime trying to perfect our salvation ,but God thru His Holy Spirit in us does. We are saved in a sense at conversion but then we have to grow and overcome our human nature, this world and Satan until we come to the perfect man, unto the measure of Christ.During this process we are being saved, but we still arent there yet, we shall be saved ! We persevere, overcome and endure to the end, until we are resurrected to a Spirit body and are in His Kingdom! Then the salvation process is complete and we are saved! Even Christ came to perfection thru the things He suffered. Not thru our ability but thru God.

Eph 4vrs 12 - 13 We do not do this thru our works but thru Gods HS in us

If you think you have it made because you are saved now then remember you can lose that salvation and be blotted out of the book of life. No once saved, always saved!

Hebrews10 vrs26-31

What are we judged by?

Revelation 20 vr13, Our Works!

God does nothing "half way." His salvation plan is a once and forever one.
Hi Star,
No God does nothing half way! But it is not instant either, not some statement I Believe and going right back out and sinning again.God will complete the work He is has begun in us! We have to ask, seek and knock ,over come and grow thru Gods grace and good works we are created for!

The application of saving Faith or pisteuo is a process . It has a beginning , a testing period , and a maintenance period in which we receive the Spirit of Christ . Whenever I refer to pisteuo , the context is always based on the surrendered life .

Once we are " in Christ " and His nature begins to flow . Part of that nature is His obedience flowing through us from time to time . But it only happens because we are continually surrendering our lives to Him and living a life inspired by such surrender . Just as Paul says , " it's not me doing it anymore but sin dwelling in me doing it " . But by the same token ( due to sanctification or separation ) whenrver he does something Holy or of God , it's not him doing that either , but the Spirit of Christ dwelling in him doing it .

The only thing we are really doing is answering the call of the Father by pisteuo , by a personal surrendering of our lives to Him and living a life inspired by such surrender . " Trusting " , that He will accept the surrendered life , that he will direct the surrendered life , that He will sustain the surrendered life , that He will regenerate the surrendered life , that He will keep and hide the surrendered life .

Our only part is to continually , daily , hourly if need be , surrender our life and will to Him . Making all the little daily decisions supporting the fact , our lives are nolonger ours anymore but His .

As we move forward in the process , his presence will result in more Faith and faithing . His Spirit causing us to be givers will result in increased Faith and faithing . Having the mind of Christ will result in increased Faith and faithing . Seeing a reflection of our surrendered life in God's Word through others who went before us will result in increased Faith and faithing .All by simply fulfilling pisteuo correctly .
Bumped for those interested

Wrong........In the grace you are, HAVING BEEN SAVED OUT OF FAITH <----past tense......Salvation is spoken of in all three verb tenses and a perfect tense Greek verb sets for a present continuing result from a past completed action.....the process you describe is ongoing sanctification which is used is a dual manner in the bible....

Sanctified eternally and positionally in Christ at the moment of belief
Daily sanctification of our lives based upon the transformation described in Romans 12:1-2

The bible clearly teaches

1. Was saved when I believed
2. Am saved right now
3. Continuing to be saved into the future

We are kept by the power of God through faith, will never be forsaken or left and even DAVID spoke of his salvation in the present tense....
Yes ,we are saved thru faith and grace and obedience as James 1 tells us, and that faith is the gift of God. You cant say I am saved and then go your own way and disobey your Creator!

The renewing of your mind spoken of in Romans 12 is the Holy Spirit given at babtism and the laying on of hands. It is part of grace and necesary to grow and overcome, you cant do it humanly at all.

There are definitely 3 tenses in savation but it is a process!

The words the English language should have had are just a corresponding verb like the Greek does . The Greek has pistis the noun and pisteuo the verb . The English language should have a noun Faith , and a corresponding verb faithe , faithing , and faither .

The correct translation of pisteuo is , Vines : "a personal surrender to Him and a life inspired by such surrender . Producing a full acknowledgement of God's revelation of truth .".

Whenever you see the words believe , believer , and believing , replace them with the correct definition to get the correct meaning . Pisteuo is used 248 times in the NT .

Gb9 , the word pisteuo is how Faith is applied to connect with our creator . For us , the most important word in the scriptures . That's why a correct translation is necessary .
