We.can go through it 100 times and it will not change the fact that James is addressing Jews with a mere belief in God as opposed to saving faith.....AND how MEN can see the FAITH that justifies before God without the deeds/works of the law!!!

End of story, that is the context....

Therefore we conclude that a man is JUSTIFIED (BEFORE GOD) by faith without the DEEDS/WORKS of the law.

We disagree on the maintenance of our salvation.
You say Jesus does it all...
I say He taught us to be involved.

What did He mean when He gave the Apostles the Great Commission in Mathew 28:19-20?
What is it, exactly, that Jesus told the Apostles to teach? It took him almost 4 years to teach them that all man had to do was "believe" in Him? (Jesus). No. Jesus taught many things that He wants us to follow.

And could you post something regarding what James is about?
As far as I could remember and/or find out is that it's to Jewish Christians, most probably living outside of Jerusalem (the Diaspora) and that were undergoing persecution and tribulation. James was writing to them as a pastor to encourage them.

They were NOT nominal believers...they were being persecuted for their faith in Jesus.
If you read James 1:1-2 this will be confirmed.

Hello Forum, this is an example of what happens if you "add works" to salvation by Gods Grace through Faith in His Son Jesus Christ.

1) The pure clean glass of water is an example of eternal salvation by grace through faith, and, "Not By Works", it is a gift of God meaning you cannot merit or pay for your eternal salvation or else it will no longer be a gift.

2) The dirty glass of water is an example of salvation by grace "plus" works.

1) When the eight people who boarded Noah's Ark were "saved" from the flood, were they required to pay a boarding fee, of course they were not. 2) When God provided a sacrifice for Adam and Eve for their sins in the Garden of Eden did they need to do any work, "no", Genesis 3:21, say's the Lord God made the garments of skin, there was no work or merit by Adam and Eve to cloth themselves, it was all of God.

3) Again who provided the ram for Abraham as a substitute for sacrificing his son, yes God provided the ram. 4) And who opened the Red Sea when Moses lead the Israelite's to "freedom", yes it was a miracle of God. 5) Who provided the Great Fish that saved the Prophet Jonah from drowning and whereby Jonah said the famous words of truth, "Salvation is of the Lord", Jonah 2:9, yes God provided the Great Fish.

The examples of God's salvation by grace through faith and "Noy By Works" are everywhere in the bible it is just undeniable. And God saves you and I today by the same unmerited favor, "saved by grace through faith, and that not of yourself, it s the "gift of God." Eph.2:9

We are saved "unto good works" that God has prepared from beforehand that we should walk in them, but listen close, "we are not saved by our good works!", "Not By Works, lest anyone should boast.

(It was God who provided the sacrifice for the sins of Adam and Eve,it was "not by their works

Ephesians 2:8-10

8) "For it is by grace you have been saved through faith, and this not from yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9) not by works, so that no one can boast. 10) For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance as our way of life."

Hi VCO, now you too have been blinded by her deceit, she is a false teacher through and through, nothing has changed except her tactics, be careful my brother shes feeding you a pack of lies.

She tricked me in the same fashion a while back but dcon and E-g were able to see through her deceit and helped me out a lot I hope and pray you will see also.

And the truth...the context of both James and Romans have been given numerous times and she insists that James teaches a works finished salvation and that we must help Christ finish what he started.....nothing more than a Catholic lemon twist false dogma......

yes, fran, arguelsss, studyman, they are just here to play games and mess around.

I think that is why those of us who want to have serious discussion about God's word get so irritated with them.........

If it's all Christ, as you say....before, and AFTER salvation...

Then should we be holding HIM responsible for when we sin?
