... And in the church God has appointed first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then workers of miracles, also those having gifts of healing, those able to help others, those with gifts of administration, and those speaking in different kinds of tongues. Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all work miracles? Do all have gifts of healing? Do all speak in tongues? Do all interpret? But eagerly desire the greater gifts. Love And now I will show you the most excellent way. 1 Corinthians 12:28-31

As as far as the Great Commission is concerned.....Can you show me the scripture relating to them actually doing what Jesus said? Going forth? Physically? Baptizing? Where are the Epistles relating to the Great Commisson? Acts 1 and 2? Hardly.....it never happened, not because it won’t, it will, during tribulation after the rapture of the church. Unless of course you think Paul singlehandedly fulfilled it.....alone

Now since you are NEW HERE on this thread, we need you to prove yourself first, and it appears YOU DOUBT THAT ALL OF THE SCRIPTURES WERE INSPIRED BY HIM. You also appear to use a line of question that is reminiscent of the line that is designed to LEAD PEOPLE ASTRAY, like the Mormons do, or the Jehovah Witness do. So KNOW, I have to ASK?

2 Timothy 3:16-17 (HCSB)
16 All Scripture is inspired by God and is profitable for teaching, for rebuking, for correcting, for training in righteousness,
17 so that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.

2 Peter 1:20-21 (HCSB)
20 First of all, you should know this: No prophecy of Scripture comes from one’s own interpretation,
21 because no prophecy ever came by the will of man; instead, men spoke from God as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.

WE BELIEVE THAT WITH OUR WHOLE HEART. DO YOU?

What We Believe
The Holy Scriptures
We believe the Scriptures—both the Old and New Testaments—to be the verbally inspired Word of God, written by men in God’s control, inerrant and infallible in the original manuscripts and the final authority in faith and life. We accept the literal, grammatical-historical system of interpretation of the Scriptures, and accept the historical record of the Bible as accurate and adequate (2 Tim. 3:15-17; 2 Pet. 1:20, 21; Ps. 19:7-9).

NOW Here you come with line of questions, that is VAGUE AT BEST, so You tell me why I should not suspect that you are ONE LIKE THESE:

Acts 20:29-30 (HCSB)
29 I know that after my departure savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock.
30 And men will rise up from your own number with deviant doctrines to lure the disciples into following them.

So, how come you chose to go after Hevosmies, a younger Brother, instead of one of us older Brethren. That is a Cult-like Tactic, you know.

So let us START again:

Give us your Denomination or Type of Church that You attend, PLEASE?

So that we CAN check out their Doctrinal Statement of False.

Tell Us HOW you personally KNOW you are Born Again?

THEN, you can ask us your Questions, BUT IN MUCH MORE DETAIL, clarifying WHY YOU ASK, so you will not get our suspicions up that YOU ARE TRYING TO LEAD YOUNGER BRETHREN ASTRAY, in to False Doctrine.

You can as Me, a conservative evangelical, and I was Born Again in 1977, and will turn 70 next month; or if you prefer you can ask any of the following Brothers:

You know Bill,
You "brothers" here as listed by VCO up above are so ready to attack that you don't even stop to wonder what the person is saying a little first.

@Argueless is answering post no. 80,671 and 80,679 by @Rightlydivided who is practically saying that he doesn't believe the N.T. scriptures.

I myself tried to answer him on the Paul baptizing question in my post no. 80,680.

It would be nice to have some real conversation instead of just arguing, but, quite frankly, I've given up on that and will just check in every now and then from now on.

Exactly which scripture are you referring to? When or where did I say every word was not the inspired word of god, respectfully? I welcome others to comment on my post

Then Argueless should have quoted the post which was being responded to rather than just quote bible verses.

You yourself quote people you respond to.

It is not helpful to just quote Bible verses and leave it at that.

So just so you know I was not attacking but asking as you suggested.

But hay we ALL fall foul of that don't we?

FYI I've been attacked by the person you reference above.
Not stopped me asking though.

That's because I like talking to people.
I think Argueless is about giving up and doesn't wish to hear ugly things...
Like I do ... all the time on this thread.
So why do I keep coming back?
Because somebody has to tell the truth and it's not being told by those on this thread ....

Jesus came to bring the light of God to the world.
I don't see much light around here....
I see persons upset because not everybody agrees with them.
I see a lot of name calling to those who are not in the "group".
I see a lot of incorrect scripture that is not addressed by anyone when I challenge it.
I see people saying they believe we SHOULD obey God...as if He were the neighbor down the street.
I see people leading others astray when salvation of souls is at stake.

Greasy grace, as you call it.
It's all over this thread.

Your whole Post is a line of Questioning is VAGUE AND CONFUSING, and I have to was WHY, and WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO LEAD US TO? Plus, YOU NEVER ANSWERED MY QUESTIONS.

And Where did you EVER get the Idea that everything that ever happened in BIBLE TIMES, is recorded?

John 21:24-25 (HCSB)
24 This is the disciple who testifies to these things and who wrote them down. We know that his testimony is true.
25 And there are also many other things that Jesus did, which, if they were written one by one, I suppose not even the world itself could contain the books that would be written.

Just like you and I do.

But what gets my goat is when you post Bible verses with your thoughts it is completely ignored and Bible verses are quoted back with no thoughts.

You can't just go around quoting Bible verses with no thoughts in response to Bible verses quoted with thoughts and just overlook it by posting more Bible verses with no thoughts. It's called Bible thumpers.

Disagreement is not the issue. It's how we disagree that's the issue.

You say "I see a lot incorrect scripture that is not addressed by anyone when I challenge it"

But you did not have the courtesy to respond my response to you a couple off days ago or maybe it was yesterday. Ref greasy grace as you mentioned above.
I have scripture to support my views in response to your response to me.

So you teach "greasy preservation" which is not forever, in opposition to Psalm 37:28?
Preserved IN Christ Jesus means just that and how long are believers preserved in Christ Jesus? FOREVER. :)
Believers are IN Christ Jesus. Unbelievers are NOT in Christ Jesus. Simple! ;)

Believers are sealed with the Holy Spirit, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession.. (Ephesians 1:13-14) (y)

amen brother....

thanks for always fighting against the lies excreted from the lips of those who push false doctrine and function as wolves belittling the promises of God and weakly attempting to attack the assurance of His children through their nonsense...

I do not believe the great commission has happened....not until the rapture of the church. The kingdom gospel was not for you or I, it was for the lost sheep of Israel.....Paul was our appostle, through Jesus, as he revealed the mystery (Peter knew of the grafting in) but Peter was not sent to the gentiles, to reveal the mystery...Paul was, Paul preached grace

@dcontroversal

You make comments but refuse to engage me in a real biblical discussion.
Just FYI,,, I've been studying the Bible longer than you've been on Earth.

And you're misleading people, just like some preachers do because what you say sounds good.

Why don't you tell us all what believe means?
Why don't you tell us all why the verse says IT instead of THEM???
John 6:39
So what...the above = zero proof that you know and or teach truth so you can forget that as a valid argument.....

On top of that we have numerous times proven what belief, believe and faith actually are and you refuse to accept the truth because of the PRIDE that reeks in this post you directed at me.

Lastly......any gospel that inserts SELF HELP DOGMA to keep one saved or that peddles a salvation that can be lost or forfeit by us is straight from the pit with no power to save.

Humble yourself pharisee and receive with MEEKNESS the engrafted word thay can save your soul FRAN!

... “Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom the master has put in charge of the servants in his household to give them their food at the proper time? It will be good for that servant whose master finds him doing so when he returns. I tell you the truth, he will put him in charge of all his possessions. But suppose that servant is wicked and says to himself, ‘My master is staying away a long time,’ and he then begins to beat his fellow servants and to eat and drink with drunkards. The master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he is not aware of. He will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Matthew 24:45-51
The fact that this person is called a "servant" (especially “wicked” servant) does not necessarily mean they were saved. The Jews were referred to as "the Lord’s servants" - You are my witnesses, says the LORD, my servant, whom I chose.. - Isaiah 43:10, but they were not all saved.

, post: 3819077, member: 252071"]Your point being in response to what?[/QUOTE]
In Matthew 28:18-20, Jesus was speaking to His Body which is the Church of which He is the Savior. (Ephesians 5:23).

I posted 1 Corinthians 12:28 which refers to the Body of Christ which is the Church consisting of many members with different functions of which baptizing is one of them, take John the baptist as the best example.

The Body of Christ are workers and servants. They follow and obey Christ as their Head. They will not just CLAIM to have FAITH and be served rather than to serve when they get to heaven or to the new Jerusalem.

Even Jesus as a Son learned OBEDIENCE through His SUFFERINGS.

...It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. Ephesians 4:11-13

And BTW about me posting bible verses or scriptures without any thought…

...For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Hebrews 4:12

...and how from infancy you have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:15-17

...For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the man’s spirit within him? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. We have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us. This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words. The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned. The spiritual man makes judgments about all things, but he himself is not subject to any man’s judgment: “For who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct him?” But we have the mind of Christ. 1 Corinthians 2:11-16

...What if some did not have faith? Will their lack of faith nullify God’s faithfulness? Not at all! Let God be true, and every man a liar. As it is written: “So that you may be proved right when you speak and prevail when you judge.” Romans 3:3-4

Could you repost please?

When I post a verse I do explain it.
Or I say something and then quote support.

HOW persons disagree here IS the problem.

Why doesn't it say "them"????

Why does the verse say "it" when it mentions people, which would be a "they"?????

Find out.

The point of the parable is that the master returned at a time when he was not expected.
The wicked servant was definitely not saved.
He will be put in a place where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth.
