What gifts from God are irrevocable?
What does "the calling of God" is irrevocable mean?

Study this and you'll find that it has nothing to do with us.
We do not go to scripture with preconceived notions....
We to to scripture with an open mind and let it speak to us.

I like to follow Jesus...
Not Calvin or Knox.
It seems to me that calvinists are following a MAN and not GOD.
This is just an observation...
Psalm 91:1
He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

John 10:9

I am the door: by Me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

Grace, please ask yourself why you can't accept the loving and caring responses from
those whom Love our precious Saviour, enough to just accept that they care and have Love
in their hearts for you and are trying their very best to help you???

considering where hub and I have come from, this is a miracle in itself, not to mention
that they are giving and sharing their Love, trying to help you on your journey...
it's like a real Spiritual happening un-folding right before many of us who know
what is really going on...some of us are truly rejoicing, for we do truly know what
is going-on...:):) many prayer and lots of Love sent directly into your precious heart...hugs...

"You misunderstand a lot."
Please Fran now that everyone here seems to have forgiven you for returning to Christianchat.com after being banned how is it that you are asking a question about, "Irrevocable gifts?" and yet you can criticize us and say, "We misunderstand a lot", really we do?

Isn't honesty a worthy life time pursuit.

OK so this is only my opinion?

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whomever shall believe on Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life.

No book, chapter or verse given here. So in YOUR estimation, that ^^^ is merely just my opinion? And not scripture?
She is nothing but a deceptive liar.......I post scripture all the time and or directly reference it......pathological liars which purport to be saved is a misnomer....

Untrue.

This conversation goes way back to 2017.

Saying "someone" does not post scripture is a false assertion.

There is no new scripture we can cite, remember the canon is closed, the various verses have been given over and over....that is the point!!!

Now please follow along because I think we have made our case abundantly.
I can only conclude three or four things when she states that I never post scripture....

a. She cannot read
b. She is blind
c. She is deceptively lying
d. She cannot recognize scripture because she never actually studies

When she comes clean, admits and asks for forgiveness I have no problem doing that......search the thread and go to the last 4 or 5 pages when she was here as Fran and she how she acted and treated everyone and how she set out vindictively and it a manner to get the thread shut down........she came back while breaking the rules and NOW constantly accuses me of not posting scriptures just because I do not post book, chapter and or verse....95% of the time I direct quote or reference scripture and MANY have called her out on this blatant lie.....and YET she is still doing it.........here is a scriptural reference...

"But for the cowardly and unbelieving and abominable and murderers and immoral persons and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death
I am not advocating having to work to retain salvation, but you should take the beam out of your own eye before you call someone a liar.

Were you not lying or at the very least failing to LISTEN when you said that I was peddling multiple regenerations, when I clearly explained my position numerous times, and repeatedly said that I believe in no such thing. But you said I do, because of your blatant eisegesis of certain parables of Jesus, and your refusal to listen...and refusal to answer a simple question because the answer would hurt your blatant eisegesis.

You only post scriptures as proof texts, and in the process take them out of context

Like the people in Matthew 7 who are cast out. They are not cast out because they did many wonderful works, they are cast out because they did not do the will of the Father and because they are workers of iniquity. Ie the fornicators, adulterers, liars, thieves, sorcerers, defilers of their own body, blasphemers, injurious, haters of good, etc that you say that if they believed for one moment in their life go to heaven, they can die in that state and still be saved. Isn't that what you believe? That one can be a fornicator, adulterer, etc and die in that unrepentant state and go to heaven? Do you study enough to know that there are many scriptures that refute such a notion

I say that those who practice such things and do not repent were never saved to begin with. The issue is not "losable" salvation. The issue is TRUE VERSUS FALSE CONVERSION.

You NEVER GRASPED that I and others were not advocating a losable salvation or multiple regenerations Because you don't have the tools to escape your easy believism vs losable salvation FALSE DICHOTOMY.

Now that I've got that off my chest, let me just say that people tend to fall into polar opposite extremes.

Some say if you backslide, you cease to be a son and have to be saved all over again. That assertion is entirely unscriptural

Some say that if you give a mental assent to the Gospel (as if faith is merely a mental assent), then you are saved and can never fall from grace, even if you die in a state of adultery, fornication, sorcery, idolatry, or any other sin. This notion is entirely unscriptural

Some say that it is God who saves, and God who keeps, and God who perfects, and God who finishes what He started, and that our sanctification is His Will and His will is not optional. Now THAT is scriptural

I see the new deceiver gave me a thumbs down.....oh well.....the children of the devil flock together and when ONE lies and states that i do not post scripture I can only conclude what I concluded in the above post......gotta love those that sell the truth out regularly while siding with liars and deceivers....speaks volumes to who really leads them..

No interpretation to it.

There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. Romans 8:1

For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. Galatians 6:8

Whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son. 2 John 9

For this you know, that no fornicator, unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. Therefore do not be partakers with them.
Ephesians 5:5-7

Who don't realize that easy believism vs losable salvation is a false dichotomy? You don't realize that there is another view, one that does not fall into these extremes?

Why do you think that there are so many texts that seem to support "diligence to make your calling and election sure" and to examine yourself to see if you are truly in the faith, while at the same time saying that we are secure in Christ. Because the true scriptural view is neither easy believism nor is it salvation maintained by works, but it is salvation MAINTAINED BY GOD, leading to holiness.

You don't even know what you are talking about....they were cast out because they were not SAVED...man get your facts straight and use your head.....Jesus never knew them = they were NEVER saved...why...BECAUSE they BELIEVED in a false GOSPEL.....LORD LORD did we not do....same crap most religions peddle....then go read GALATIANS....faith PLUS WORKS to GAIN or FINISH = false gospel with no power...a kid can understand the truth....

I'm not associating with anyone. I'm not coming to anyone's defense. I just think you should put your own house in order on this matter before you call someone out. And I don't know what her position is or yours, but I do know that when you are pressed, you will not defend your position.

SO what say you? If a person dies in a state of fornication, adultery, sorcery, etc. does that person inherit the kingdom of God?

A false gospel, like easy believism, that teaches that you can give a mental assent to the propositions of the Gospel, and continue in fornication, adultery, sorcery, drunkenness, etc and think you're saved?

If you don't believe this, let me know. If you let me know that you don't believe this, I will say I agree with you. Let's come to an agreement here, why don't we?

BTW, I never said they were saved. They were not saved. They only payed lip service to Jesus. False conversion. Why do you call me Lord, says He, and do not do the things that I say. By this we know that we known Him if we keep His commandments. What tense is the verb "know" in this verse

Exactly....take your own advice pal....read the thread, get your facts straight then open your mouth.....she has been banned once for her behavior and now she is starting it up again.......and if you believe the bolded you must be as dense as lead

My posts had nothing to do with her. They had to do with the way you handled our talks, and then you criticize her for the manner in which she handles your talks. I have asked you the same question numerous times and you have refused to answer, and you have deliberately misrepresented my position more than once.

Answer the question. DO you hold to easy believism in the sense that a person can give a mental assent to the gospel, yet still continue in fornication, adultery, sorcery, etc until death parts their spirit from their body and be saved.

If you don't believe the statement above, let me know, and we can shake hands and go our merry ways knowing that we are in agreement on this.

Read the thread.....or believe one who constantly twists and embellishes what we say or denies the thousands of scriptures that have been quoted or directly referenced....the bolded is just another made up phrase by the workers for and or salvation losers....NO ONE in this thread has ever stated such a position and if anything argued against it....

so called faith without heart repentance produced by the Holy Spirit is nothing more than mere intellectual assent, Do you believe in such heart repentance

But let me ask it differently, (even though you have been known not to answer my questions in the past) Do you think a person who genuinely has trusted Christ for salvation will continue in fornication, adultery, sorcery, etc till death parts their spirit from their body?

Let's see if you answer THIS ONE.
